(APC by Schneider Electric) When APC had a recall on surge protectors, they needed a consumer facing website where users could submit and track their claims, and fast. Anticipating a very high customer volume, the site needed to perform flawlessly and with ease for customers. Working with Rackspace hosting, we configured three servers two webservers and one database server, as well as Varnish and a load balancer. Complex validation including scouring database for previously entered SKU numbers. Integration with StrikeIron address validation service, using provided API webservice utilizing AJAX for better customer experience.

Automated nightly export of claims to APC s main Oracle server where orders are imported and processed. Automated nightly sent to APC stakeholders with both daily and to date claim statistics. Various statistic reporting tools for APC stakeholders. As of September 2015, there have been approximately 400,000 individual claims processed through the site, with no downtime at all. At it s peak, the site has processed between 3,500-4,000 claims per day, and consistently between 2,000-2,500 APC needed an easy to use and easy to duplicate site to run campaigns and promotions. Fully multilingual, the campaign site can reach a broad international audience fully maintainable by site administrators.
