1 Dickinson ISD is offering Online Registration for Returning Students for the School Year From August 1-15, 2016, Dickinson ISD parents will be able to take advantage of the district's online registration process for returning students. These are students who attend a Dickinson ISD campus at the end of the school year and will be returning for the school year. A copy of proof of residency is still required to be dropped off at the campus; however, this can be done during a two-week period in August, without having to stand in long lines normally associated with registration each year. The online registration process will be available through the school district website at The district will have complete instructions on the website this summer to walk parents through the steps they need to take. New elementary and middle school boundaries announced for opening of Lobit Elementary and Lobit Middle School The Lobit Education Village will open to students and staff in August for the school year. To accommodate that opening the district has announced new attendance boundaries for all elementary and middle school students in Dickinson ISD. Students in elementary (grades pre-kindergarten-4) and middle school (grades 5-6) are zoned to a campus based on their home address. All students in grades 7-8 attend McAdams Junior High, while all students in grades 9-12 attend Dickinson High School. To find out which elementary or middle school your student will attend, visit the district website at and click on the box on the homepage titled, "Click here to view the online school zone database " You can then enter your home address to find out to which school your home is zoned. In order to complete the online registration process, parents must have their login information (user name and password) for Skyward Family Access. If a parent does not have login information, this can be obtained by showing proper identification in the front office at their child's school. Please make sure you have obtained login information ahead of time so you are not delayed in registering your student online. For parents without access to the Internet, computers and assistance will be available at the campuses during designated times to complete the online registration process. Parents of students new to Dickinson ISD for must visit the campus their child will attend and complete the registration process in person as there is more paperwork involved for new students. More information on documents required as well as dates for new student registration can be found in this packet. Approximately one week before school starts, the Transportation Department will have their database updated, so parents can find out bus route schedules as well as which school the address is zoned to in one program. To access this program, click on the "Bus Route Information" tab in the Quicklinks section on the left-hand side of the district homepage. After entering the address, you will see which campus your child will attend based on your home address and also the bus route the student will ride. Dickinson ISD provides bus service for all students, regardless of the distance a student's home is from the campus. For questions, contact the Public Information Office at or [email protected]. The Dickinson ISD summer work schedule is Monday-Thursday, June 6 - July 28, During these two months, all district offices and campuses will be closed on Fridays.
