2 Background NCTE established in 1998 as an agency of the Department of Education and Science to implement ICT in schools programme. Since July 2012 under PDST banner NCTE work continues under new name PDST Technology in Education ( Core objective is to promote and support the use of ICT in teaching and learning (primary and post primary schools)
