The BAR price point is the rate value for the default room type master for one person for the property at a particular time or for a particular date. The leading room type master identified for your property. This setup is performed in HMS and reflected in G 6 ROW. Upcharges are assigned to the Default room type master to calculate the price(s) for all other room type masters. Date range when the rate code (BAR or others) can have pricing assigned to it. You can extend the available for sale dates as needed. The $ amount that is added to BAR or other rate code to calculate the rate value for occupants beyond the 1st person. A rate code assigned a specific dollar value based on bed type and date(s). These rate codes are priced at a fixed dollar amount. The rate codes that reference a Fixed Rate code (such as BAR) and have the same percentage discount every day. Constant floating rate codes will be automatically extended for the period that you have extended the referenced fixed rate code. 2016, G6 Hospitality 13
Term Variable Floating Rate Codes Closed Restriction Closed to Arrival Restriction Minimum Length of Stay (MLOS) Restriction Definition The rate codes that reference a Fixed Rate code (such as BAR) and may have different percentage discount values by day (or day of week). 19 Part 2: Pricing Components in G 6 ROW 2016, G6 Hospitality 18
Important Pricing Components in G 6 ROW Rate Administration G 6 ROW Rate Administration uses the following concepts or components: BAR Price Points (Best Available Rate) Upcharges Default Room Type Masters Rate Codes Restrictions Notes for G 6 HMS Users: G 6 ROW Rate Administration replaces the Pricing Functions in G6HMS. There are a few things to be aware of: You will continue to see the G6HMS screens for rate management. However, you will not be able to edit those screens once your property converts to the G 6 ROW platform. BAR is synonymous with RACK terminology that you see in G6HMS. The concept of seasons in HMS will still exist but have no relevance to G 6 ROW. You will only see the LS season expressed in G6HMS after conversion. 2016, G6 Hospitality 19
BAR price points (Best Available Rate) The BAR price point(s) is the rate value for the default room type master for one person for the property at a particular time or for a particular date. BAR price points can be many different values ($49.99, $55.99, $59.99 $199.99), are made sellable for a day or date ranges as you assign and are always associated with the Default Room Type Master for your property. Upcharges Upcharge is the dollar amount that is combined with the BAR price point to calculate the two types of prices below: Room Type Master Upcharge: The dollar amount(s) added or subtracted from the BAR pricing point to price all other room type masters. As an example: if the default room type master is at a BAR price point of $79.99, then you might add $10 to nondefault room type master to price that room at $ Per Person Upcharge: The dollar amount(s) added (cannot be a negative number) to the rate value of each room type master to price 2 nd, 3 rd or 4 th occupants in a room. Note: Although some room types under a master will not accommodate 4 people, G 6 ROW allows you to enter a value for up to 4 people. However, the system knows that upcharges apply only to the maximum occupancy defined for each room type under the master as set up in HMS. The application utilizes the concept of defaults in several instances in the design. A default generally means the system will assume the value you have set up at the property level unless you override the amount. You have the ability to assign defaults for extra person upcharges and room type upcharges. Default Room Type Master Each property must have a default room type master identified (there is only 1 Default Room Type Master for each hotel). The assignment of a default master is managed in HMS. The Default Room Type Master is the room type or grouping of room types to which BAR price points are assigned. Upcharges are then added or subtracted to calculate the prices of all other room type masters for the hotel. Once a property has assigned a Default Room Type Master, changes to that assignment can create unintended pricing errors. If it becomes necessary to change the default room type master, please contact your Franchise Revenue manager for assistance or contact [email protected]. 2016, G6 Hospitality 20
How It Works Managing BAR and Upcharges Below is an illustration of how it works for assigning BAR and applying upcharges. More detailed how to explanations are provided in later sections. 1 Open drop down box to select a BAR Price Point to apply 3 Extra Person Charges (XP) work the same way as Room Type Upcharges. If you add the dollar amount (for example below of $6, $3 and $3) those amounts will be added to the Room Price. So $65.99 for 1 person 2 If you select $65.99 for your Default Room, Type Master of 1B (equivalent to QNS); and add plus $5, 2016, G6 Hospitality 21
Rate Codes There are two main types of rate codes in G 6 ROW Rate Administration, Fixed and Floating. There are two types of Floating rate codes, Constant and Variable. Fixed: A rate code assigned a specific or fixed dollar value based on bed type and date(s). Floating: A rate code that provides a percent off discount from a fixed rate code. The discount for a floating rate code can be constant or variable. o Constant Floating: A rate code that references a fixed rate code and has the same percentage discount every day. These rate codes will be automatically extended for the period that you have extended the associated fixed rate code. (i.e., available for sales dates are the same as reference rate code) o Variable Floating: The floating rate code that references a fixed rate code and may have different percentage discount values by day (or day of week). These rate codes will not automatically extend for the period that you have extended the associated fixed rate code (i.e., extending available for sales dates must be done manually). 2016, G6 Hospitality 22
Restrictions Rate restrictions allow you to control the availability of rate codes for a period of time that you define. G 6 ROW Rate Administration offers you two methods to control availability of rate codes: Rate Code Restrictions and Channel Availability Restrictions. Note: Applying restrictions can be complex and may dissuade customers from booking. Users should consider the merits of applying restrictions closely prior to implementing. Rate Code Restrictions The following are the available rate code restrictions within G6ROW Rate Administration. These rate restrictions apply to all channels within the date range you specify during the process of applying the restriction to a rate code. Closed: Rate code is unavailable for new reservations or when extending existing reservations Closed to Arrivals (CTA): Rate code is unavailable for arrival on this date Minimum Length of Stay (MLOS) CRITICAL NOTE Floating rate codes will always inherit the restriction applied to the reference rate code. In the first release of G 6 ROW, only closed restriction can be applied to the floating rate code even if the reference rate code is not closed. After May 30, 2016, the floating rate code can have a CTA or MinLOS restriction even if the reference rate code does not have such restriction. In any case, the most restrictive restriction will apply. For example, if the reference rate code has a MinLOS of 3 and the floating rate code has a closed restriction, the closed restriction (being the most restrictive) will take precedence. Example of the Way it works up until 5/30/2016 If rate code ABC is a floating rate code off a fixed rate code (i.e., it is a % off the value of BAR) and fixed rate code has a closed restriction, the rate code ABC is also closed. 2016, G6 Hospitality 23
Example of the Way it works after 5/30/2016 If rate code ABC is a floating rate code off a fixed rate code (i.e., it is a % off the value of BAR) and fixed rate code has a MLOS restriction of 2 nights, the rate code ABC can have a different MLOS restriction such as 4 nights. If the reference rate code is closed, the floating rate code is closed regardless of the restriction you apply to the floating. In all cases, the most restrictive restriction applies. Channel Availability Restrictions G 6 ROW Rate Administration allows you to control the availability of rate codes in any of the following channels: 1. G6 Web: This is G6 Hospitality branded website and any metasearch such as Kayak that book via our Branded website. 2. G6 Call Center: This is the central call center managed by G6 3. G6 GDS/OTA: This includes the 4 GDS and any online travel agency that connects via the GDS/ADS (these are commission or fee based) Rate codes are always available via the Property direct channel (e.g., HMS). There is some impact across channels that are worth noting. Note: If you close G6 Web, GDS/OTA will automatically close. If you then open the same rate code for sale in G6 Web, the system will NOT automatically open that rate code in G6 GDS/OTA. You must make that selection. 2016, G6 Hospitality 24
Part 3: Managing BAR Price Points Now that you understand the basics of G 6 ROW, let s get started with managing your BAR price points. 39 Managing BAR There are 4 ways to manage BAR pricing. Calendar Single Day: Use this to price a single day or several days. Weekly Summary: Use this when you have multiple weeks that follow the same pricing pattern. Add New Pricing: Use this when you have longer periods to price. Rapid Entry Pricing: Use this to price a single day or several days at a time and if you want to also modify other rate codes, restrictions and policies. Once you have determined what BAR price point you want to assign as sellable for a select period(s), you can manage single days, apply weekly patterns or enter user assigned date ranges. You can apply default upcharges or override those default values for any of the days/rates within the selected period. Note: If you are using a pattern of upcharges, the values you set for your upcharges for any given day within your pattern will repeat for that same day of week across your pricing plan dates. For example, if you choose to override the room type master upcharge for 2B for Tuesday, then every Tuesday within the date range of your pricing plan will carry the override. Note: If you need to price a day or period of time with a BAR price point that is not available on your list of BAR price points, you must add the BAR price point to your property list and then select it for the day/period of time. 2016, G6 Hospitality 38

If you have variable floating rate codes associated to BAR, you will receive a message showing these rate codes. You can click View Rate Codes to view and modify those pricing gaps , G6 Hospitality 48
Extending BAR Pricing Beyond Existing Dates and Impact on Floating Rate If you change the available for sale dates of a reference rate code (BAR included), the associated variable floating rate codes might have a pricing gap because G 6 ROW will not assume what percentage off you wish to charge for the variable floating rate code. If this happens, G 6 ROW will notify you of all affected rate codes with pricing gaps and will highlight those gaps in the rate code page (in a salmon color) Also, if you are getting close to days when prices are not set up for your property for BAR, G 6 ROW will notify you in the Properties page so that you can take action: Pink: BAR has days without prices in the next 90 Days from today s date Red: BAR has days without prices in the next 30 days from today s date Constant floating rate codes will be extended automatically when you extend the available for sale date range of the reference rate code. The value will be the current value of the constant floating rate code. To extend BAR pricing beyond existing dates, use any of the methods identified above for changing BAR and add pricing for the new days, starting with the day next to the last day priced. 2016, G6 Hospitality 49

The system shows a message indicating you successfully created property pricing for the date range. 2016, G6 Hospitality 63
Modifying a Fixed Rate Code When modifying a fixed rate code, you can change the values you have previously assigned. You cannot change the following settings once you have created the fixed rate code: The rate code name The type of rate code (i.e., changing the rate code from fixed to floating) Rather than going through all settings of the rate code, you can choose the section that contains the data you wish to modify and access that section directly. Note: You can modify the Available for Sale dates for a fixed rate code. If you are extending the available for sales dates of your fixed rate code, then you must price each day in the extended period. If the fixed rate code has floating constant rate codes associated to it, the system will automatically extend the pricing of the constant floating rate codes to cover the additional days. If the fixed rate code has variable floating rate codes associated to it, the system will alert you of the floating variable rate codes and guide you to the section where you can enter pricing for the extended days. 2016, G6 Hospitality 64
Floating Rate Codes Floating rate codes derive their values by referencing fixed rate codes and are either constant discounts or variable discounts. Constant Floating Rate Codes o The percentage discount from the reference rate code used to calculate the value of this rate code is the same (i.e., constant) every day. o Example: Rate Code ABC is always 10% off BAR Variable Floating Rate Codes o The percentage discount from the reference rate code used to calculate the value of this rate code can vary by day and/or date range (i.e., variable). o Example: Rate Code XYZ is 10% off BAR during the weekdays and 8% during the weekends. 79 Assigning Rate Restrictions You can assign rate restrictions to a rate code for a single day or multiple days. You will see the following shading or design in the application to represent the type of restriction. Shading Type of Restriction No Restriction Restriction that is assigned to a Floating Rate Code Closed Closed to Arrival (CTA) MinLOS (the number indicates the minimum number of days) Note: If a rate restriction is specifically assigned to the floating rate code, that restriction will be highlighted with a pale blue box ( ). Otherwise, the floating rate code inherits the restriction assigned to the reference rate code. Restrictions that are applied to the reference rate code will apply to the floating rate code. For example, if you create a floating rate code that references Ext7 (a rate code that always requires a 7 night minimum length of stay), any floating rate code that references Ext7 will also carry this restriction. However, you can apply a restriction to the floating rate code directly. The restriction that is the most restrictive will apply. For example, rate code ABC is a floating rate code of Ext7 and Ext7 has a 7 night minimum length of stay. If you apply a Closed restriction to ABC, that is a more restrictive action and it will take precedence over 7 MinLOS. In order, the most restrictive restrictions are Closed, Closed to Arrival and MinLOS. 2016, G6 Hospitality 78

Understanding Market Performance As part of your subscription to G 6 ROW Revenue, you can access the STAR (Smith Travel Accommodations Report) report data under Market Benchmark. This report s data benchmarks a hotel s performance against its competitive aggregate and local market. Market Benchmark allows you to track your performance against your competitors, provides insight on market supply, demand and revenue changes, and ultimately assists you in making strategic pricing decisions for future days based on past performance. Note: The competitive set for the STR is a group of four or more hotels selected by the Corporate Revenue Management team to provide a balanced view of your market. This set will most likely not be the same set you define for Competitive Web Shopping set. This is due to the fact that not all hotels report data to Smith Travel, and only those that do can be included in the report. The Market Benchmark report offers two views: Weekly data: Available every Wednesday for the prior week. Running 28 days: Available at the end of the month for the previous month. 2016, G6 Hospitality 126
Whether you are looking at the weekly or monthly view, you will see the following data by day of week: For occupancy, view the achieved occupancy, the average occupancy percentage achieved for the aggregate of your competitive set, and the Market Penetration Index. o The MPI (market penetration index) is the percentage of demand for rooms actually accruing at your hotel. It is calculated as the ratio between the Total Rooms Occupied in your hotel against the Total Rooms Occupied collectively attributed to your hotel s market set. 2016, G6 Hospitality 127
Note: For ADR, you can see your achieved average daily rate, the average daily rate of the aggregate of your competitive set, and the ADR Index. o The ADR index is your hotel s ADR / comp set ADR (* 100) For RevPar, you can see your achieved revenue per available room, the revenue per available room of the aggregate of your competitive set, and the RevPar Index. o The RevPar index is hotel RevPAR / comp set RevPAR (* 100), also called yield index You can select any date in the date selector, and the data will display for the week in which the date falls. 2016, G6 Hospitality 128
Part 2: Defining Property Pricing Plan 2016, G6 Hospitality 129
Overview of Pricing Plan The pricing plan is the manifestation of your strategy in the form of pricing, availability controls, and property policies required to position your property for a specified period of time. Generally there are five steps required to prepare a complete pricing plan: Step 1: Ensure that the BAR price points, room type and extra person upcharges are correctly set up for every day within your pricing plan period (established in Rate Administration). Step 2: Determine the amount of inventory you are willing to take for each BAR price point and prepare the BAR Allocation Plan (established in Rate Administration) Step 3: Adjust pricing and availability of other rate codes to support your strategy (established in Rate Administration) Step 4: Review and update your property policies (cancellations and guarantee requirements) (established in Rate Administration) Step 5: Create relevant notifications to keep you informed of the progress of your plan 2016, G6 Hospitality 130
Defining BAR Price Points and Upcharges for your Pricing Plan Before you prepare your Pricing Plan, you ll need to ensure that the BAR Price points you are planning to use in your plan are correctly set up in G 6 ROW. Review and update the list of available BAR Price Points here. G 6 ROW will utilize the values you have set for every room type master and extra person upcharge when pricing your rooms via the Pricing Plan. To update the pricing of non-default room type masters and/or extra person upcharge for the pricing period: Run the Pricing Report for the required pricing period to see the current values for room type upcharges and extra person upcharges. If changes are needed, go to Weekly Summary or Rapid Entry to update the upcharge values. 2016, G6 Hospitality 131
Creating the BAR Allocation Plan The BAR Allocation Plan allows you to easily price your property to account for changes in demand. G 6 ROW will follow your plan and raise or lower your sellable BAR based on the occupancy on the books. When preparing your plan, specify the number of rooms you wish to sell (aka allocation) when each BAR price point is being promoted. You can have a different allocation plan by day of week or the same plan for each day of the week within your pricing plan period. Once the rooms in your allocation are sold, G 6 ROW will raise your sellable BAR Price point to the next available BAR Price point with an allocation. As cancellations or modifications are received, your BAR allocation plan will publish the applicable sellable BAR price point. Finally, G 6 ROW allows you to incorporate the following modifiers to your BAR Allocation Plan: Lead time: With the lead time function you specify, based on number of days prior to arrival, the lowest BAR price point you are willing to sell. The combination of BAR Allocation plan and lead time allows you to raise and lower your sellable BAR as demand changes, while also taking into consideration the timing of the demand. Time of day rule: You may add a rule that sets a specific BAR price point at a certain time of day based on occupancy regardless of on the books occupancy. BAR Freeze: This functionality allows you to freeze the sellable BAR price point as of the start of a specific day. This rule stops intraday price changes by setting the BAR price point you start the day at as the sellable BAR price point for the rest of the day. Note: If you have changed the values of the room type master defaults and/or extra person default charges in Rate Administration for one or more days (aka override the values), it is recommended that you do not use the BAR Allocation function for those days. Currently, G 6 ROW does not account for the default overrides when a BAR allocation plan is used. This will be modified in the future and at that point, you will be informed of the change. 2016, G6 Hospitality 132
Creating a BAR Allocation Plan for Multiple Days To set up your BAR Allocation plan, go to BAR Rules à BAR Allocation screen. Click on Add BAR Rule to set a BAR Allocation plan for multiple days or weeks. 2016, G6 Hospitality 133
Start and End Date: Enter the date range for your pricing plan. 2. Select Days: Click on the days of the week that will have the same allocation plan to select. 3. In the first column, enter the percentage of inventory you are willing to sell for each BAR price point. 4. Optional lead time : In the second column enter the number of days prior to arrival when a BAR price point must be made sellable if the property has not reached that BAR price point. 5. Click Submit and if needed repeat process for other days of the week with similar allocation plan , G6 Hospitality 134
Example: In the example above, from February 1 until May 2, every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this property will be selling a $49.99 BAR price point for the default room type master up until 15% of the yieldable rooms are sold. When the property has sold 15% of their inventory (to any rate code), the sellable BAR price point will be $53.99 and so on If cancellations are received and the occupancy on the books goes below 25%, the property will be selling $49.99 The lead time of 0 means that on day of arrival, if the property has not reached the sellable BAR price point of $55.99, G 6 ROW will automatically make that BAR price point sellable. If the property is selling $58.99 by day of arrival, G 6 ROW will not revert back to $ The lead time of 0 on price point $55.99 also means that if the property s occupancy on the books goes below 80% on day of arrival, G 6 ROW will prevent the sellable BAR price point from going below $ , G6 Hospitality 135
Lead Time Function The lead time function allows you to specify the number of days prior to arrival when a specific BAR price point must be made sellable. The BAR price point with the lead time will be made sellable ONLY if the property is not already selling a higher BAR price point. In the case when the property is selling a higher BAR price point than the one with the lead time, G 6 ROW will not revert or sell the BAR price point with the lead time. Although it is possible to utilize the lead time function on multiple BAR price points for a given day (as seen in example below) it is not recommended as the results may be difficult to track and can dilute the impact of your overall BAR allocation plan. Here is an example of a complicated plan that may be counterproductive: 2016, G6 Hospitality 136
2 Managing BAR Allocation Plan By Day For each day, you can see the sellable BAR price point at your property and the BAR allocation plan with the percentage of rooms allocated, the equivalent in number of rooms, the number of rooms left to sell in the allocation and the number of days assigned to the lead time function. If you have not created an allocation plan, the Rate shows in Orange, indicating the rate came from Rate Administration. 2. This view also shows you the overall percentage of rooms you have allocated to all price points. Tip: It is advised that you keep the overall allocation percentage to 100%. 3. In this view, you can also modify the allocation plan for current and/or future days by clicking on the price points within the day(s). Note: as you make changes to the allocation plan, the Allocated field at the top will aggregate the allocation percentages and show you the overall percentage of your yieldable inventory that has been allocated for the day(s). 2016, G6 Hospitality 137
Setting up a Time of Day Rule for BAR Click on Time of Day to specify a time of the day when a specific BAR price point will be made sellable , G6 Hospitality 138
Select the time of the day when you wish to publish the BAR price point. 3. Enter the occupancy level that your property must be at in order for the rule to apply. 4. Finally, select the BAR price point you wish to make sellable when the time of day and occupancy you have specified is met. 5. Click Submit BAR Rule to save your changes. Or click the X at the top right corner of the screen to exit without saving , G6 Hospitality 139
1 Freezing the Start of Day Sellable BAR 1. Click on Freeze symbol for the day you wish to freeze. Note: When freezing a future day, GROW will set the sellable BAR price at the beginning of that day as the sellable BAR price point for the rest of the day. Remember that the sellable BAR price point you see today for a future day may not be the sellable BAR price point when that day rolls in. 2016, G6 Hospitality 140
2. After clicking on the Freeze symbol, you will receive an onscreen message indicating that you have placed a Freeze rule for that day. Tip: Frozen days are highlighted with a blue freeze symbol in GROW. 3. To unfreeze or remove the freeze rule for a specific day, simply click on the blue freeze symbol. 2016, G6 Hospitality 141
Viewing BAR Plan Performance In this view, you can select a date range in the past and/or future and see the following information: BAR Plan: this is a daily view of all rooms you have allocated to sell by price point, the number of rooms allocated (equivalent to percentage allocated), and the number of rooms left to sell under each price point Rooms Sold by Price Point : This is a daily view showing you the actual number of rooms sold under each price point 2016, G6 Hospitality 142
1 2 5 BAR Plan 3 For each BAR 4 Price point, you can see the percentage of yieldable inventory that has been allocated, the equivalent in number of rooms, and the number of rooms left to sell to close the BAR price point. 1. Start Date and End Date: select a date range to filter the search results. You can scroll up and down and left to right to see all days and all price points. 2. Filters: to simplify the results, you can choose to hide the data points showing number of rooms allocated and number of rooms left to sell. You can also hide inactive BAR price points (these are BAR price points that do not have allocation during your selected date range) 3. Yld/Cons: shows you the number of rooms available for sale (yieldable) and number of rooms consumed by day 4. Alloc: this shows you the percentage of yieldable rooms that have been allocated to a price point 5. Download Report: allows you to download the report to Excel 2016, G6 Hospitality 143
1 1 3 Rooms Sold by Price Point For each 2 BAR Price point, you can see number of rooms sold when that BAR Price Point was sellable. Note: The sellable BAR price point for the day is highlighted in BLUE. 1. Start Date and End Date: select a date range to filter the search results. You can scroll up and down and left to right to see all days and all price points. 2. Yld/Cons: shows the number of rooms available for sale (yieldable) and number of rooms consumed by day 3. Download Report: allows you to download the report to Excel 2016, G6 Hospitality 144
Managing Rate Code Pricing and Availability via Rules G 6 ROW allows you to manage the pricing and availability of rate codes by assigning rules. You define the criteria for the rule, and when the conditions in your criteria are met, G 6 ROW will implement your rule. There are two types of rate code rules you can set up on G 6 ROW: Tips: Discount: Controls the pricing of any floating rate code based on any one, or a combination, of the following conditions: o Number of rooms sold for the rate code o Property occupancy o Days prior to arrival Availability: Allows you to close (and reopen) a rate code or apply a closed to arrival restriction based on any one, or a combination, of the following conditions: o Number of rooms sold for the rate code o Property occupancy o Days prior to arrival When demand increases, it may be tempting to close discounted rates. Whenever possible it is advisable to reduce the depth of discount (even to zero), so the guest can still find and book the offer without compromising your revenue. When using rate code rules to apply a discount or a rate restriction, remember to also create a rule that reverses the rule when the conditions are no longer met. See example below. 2016, G6 Hospitality 145
Example: In this example, the rate code APPLE will have a closed rate restriction when the property s occupancy is above 80% 2016, G6 Hospitality 146
In order to ensure APPLE is reopened when occupancy falls to 80% or below, you need to add the open rule: 2016, G6 Hospitality 147
Applying Rate Code Discount Rules To create a rate code discount rule go to Rate Rules - > Create New Rule Select Discount 2. Rule Name: enter a name that could help you easily identify the purpose of the rule. Tip: you do not need to add the name of the rate code in the rule name. it will be shown to you in G 6 ROW and on any notification you receive. 3. Rule Description: Optional field where you can enter more details regarding your rule 4. Start Date: enter the date when you want to start enforcing this rule 5. End Date: you can enter an end date or select Ongoing to keep the rule going indefinitely. 6. Rate Code: select the floating rate code 2016, G6 Hospitality 148
9 7. If you wish to be notified when the rule is triggered, enter the addresses and/or phone numbers under contact information. 8. Select and/or text to specify how to receive the notification. Note: All your triggered rules are available to view in Property Dashboard à Rules Feed. 9. Click Add Condition to specify the conditions of your discount rule. 2016, G6 Hospitality 149
Select the days of the week when you wish the rule to apply 11. Enter your first condition 12. If you wish to enter another condition, click Add Condition 13. If the both conditions are needed to trigger the rule, select AND. Otherwise, select OR 14. Enter your second condition 15. Enter the percentage discount for the rate code when the conditions are met 2016, G6 Hospitality 150
Example In this example, the rate code HELP will be priced at 5% when the occupancy of the hotel reaches 75% or above, and only within 3 days of arrival. To revert the value of the rate code to its original state (in this example 10%), you must add the following condition to the rule: 2016, G6 Hospitality 151
Here is the rule with both conditions added: 2016, G6 Hospitality 152
1 Applying Rate Code Availability Rules To create a rate code discount rule, go to Rate Rules - > Create New Rule. Select Restriction and complete the details for the rule. 1. Select the days of the week when you wish the rule to apply 2. Enter your first condition 3. If you wish to enter another condition, click Add Condition 4. If both conditions are needed to trigger the rule, select AND. Otherwise, select OR 5. Enter your second condition 6. You may enter a more conditions. However, complex rules may be difficult to track and negatively impact your plan. Try to keep your rules simple. 7. Enter the percentage discount for the rate code when the conditions are met Tip: Remember to enter another set of conditions to reopen the rate code. 2016, G6 Hospitality 153
Viewing Rate Code Rules You can view the rate code rules you have set up for your property in the Rate Code Rules screen. 2016, G6 Hospitality 154
Viewing Triggered Rate Code Rules You can view the rate code rules that have been triggered in Property Dashboard -> Rules Feed 2016, G6 Hospitality 155
You can select any triggered rate rule and forward it to others or archive. 2016, G6 Hospitality 156
Establishing Property Policies When preparing your pricing plan, review your property policies for guarantee requirements and cancellation to ensure that these policies support your strategy. The guarantee requirement and cancellation policy can be updated via G 6 ROW Rate Administration à Property Policies. 2016, G6 Hospitality 157
Creating Notifications Once you have set up a pricing plan, you can set up notifications to keep you informed via , text, and/or the G 6 ROW on-screen notification feed that shows the results of your pricing plan and changes that may impact your plan. Similar to rate code rules, G 6 ROW evaluates the conditions you define for the notification, and when those conditions are met, you are notified. When you receive a notification from G 6 ROW, you can see the details that triggered the notification and the date for which the notification was triggered. You can then determine if adjustments to your pricing plan are needed. The following table describes the different type of notifications currently available within G 6 ROW. Notification Type 2016, G6 Hospitality 158 Conditions Considered Example Inventory Out of Order More than 3 rooms out of order CRS Freeze Group Inventory Release Manager Hold Group Block Hotel has a CRS freeze in place Group is set to release in the next 3 days with 5 rooms left Hotel has more than 3 rooms on hold Hotel has 20% or more of the inventory committed to group blocks Competition Competitor Rate Competitor ABC s rate is lower than my property s rate by $5 Occupancy Competitor Availability On the books occupancy Occupancy same time last year Competitor XYZ is closed OTB Occupancy is more than 20% within the next 3 days STLY occupancy is above 95% Performance ADR Variance OTB ADR is lower than STLY by more than 10%.
