2 IMPORVEMENT): 1) It took exactly 4 weeks for my camera to arrive. It was shipped initially from China, arrived at some location in the United States, there was a short delay, and then they shipped it to my address. Be aware of this because will give your order a status of Delivered after the first shipment arrives at its destination. For a home user this is a mild inconvenience, but I'm not sure the delay caused by shipping the item twice would be acceptable for a camera installer. Better contact the seller before ordering in bulk. 2) You cannot configure this camera from a non-windows machine. Sorry Mac and Linux users, but this camera requires one to install a Windows executable just to get to the login screen. This is my biggest complaint with this camera. Do non-windows users make up a small fraction of the user base? Perhaps, but the facts of the matter are that USG's competition (e.g. Foscam, Airlink, Apexis, Grandstream, you name it) all allow one to login and configure basic settings in the camera from any modern browser on any modern operating system. In my opinion, this needs to be fixed via firmware update. 3) Be advised that there is a plastic block, inline with the cabling, which may require you to drill a hole a bit larger than anticipated. This is a typical problem with surveillance cameras, which may or may not be an issue for your application. It depends on how the camera is mounted. This camera is not nearly as bad as some of the other cameras I own. However, if your application requires feeding the wire through something, then be prepared to drill a 1 3/8 hole. I have uploaded a photo to the image gallery showing the inline-block. This is a tough one to solve for any camera manufacturer. After all, you have to keep the camera waterproof, so anything that disassembles can potentially leak. This particular camera is really too small to allow terminating the cabling directly inside the camera... hence the inline-block. One way to work around this (with any camera) is to mount the camera directly to a watertight electrical box as I have shown here (let's see if let's me post this link): SUMMARY This really is not a bad camera at all. It performs well, but as I mentioned it does have a few things the potential buyer should be aware of before making the decision to purchase.
