5 COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION We are committed to bringing sustainable value to our customers. For Cramo sustainability means to always meet and exceed our customers expectations. This is how we build long-term customer relations. A key sustainability concern for our customers is to secure safety at construction sites. Cramo works systematically with leading-edge solutions and preventive measures to eliminate accidents. Our target is zero accidents at the construction sites of our customers. Every incident or accident that we can avoid counts and we shall always support our customers in reducing the risk of accidents. We can add 2014 as another year with very few casualities. This is key, and it gives me great satisfaction to see that our focus and unique expertise in safety make a difference. Safety at construction sites is established through the competence and commitment of our employees. It is clear that our commitment to competence development and training, for example in the framework of Cramo School, Cramo Development and Cramo Dialogue, is an important factor for our success. Safety is and will be our number one focus area. We will continue to listen to our customers needs, and develop services and products where safety is an integral part of our offer. This is how Cramo will continue to be a role model in rental. Every incident or accident that we can avoid counts. Cramo is committed to supporting our customers in reducing accidents. Vesa Koivula, President and CEO CRAMO SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
6 We want to do what is right Sustainable business is built on trust, and our high ethical standards are the foundation of this. These ethical standards are expressed in our values and Cramo s Code of Conduct. We work continuously to anchor and ensure compliance with our ethical guidelines. Sustainable business also means taking a life cycle perspective in our operations. We care about attracting responsible employees and suppliers in all parts of our organisation, and in every step of the value chain, in order to excel in customer satisfaction. Cramo Care is our framework monitoring the Group s sustainability work to ensure it results in customer value. In this annual sustainability report, we would like to share our work and results in order to integrate social and environmental considerations as part of our value proposition. Our common values are the backbone of everything we do: We are committed to customer satisfaction We conduct our business in a credible way We use creativity for sustainable customer solutions CRAMO CARE Cramo Care, derived from the UN Global Compact, is, together with our Code of Conduct, the framework for coordinating and monitoring sustainability work at Cramo. It captures our commitment to achieving sustainable profits through continuous and step-wise improvements in terms of Customer Care, Employee Care, Environmental Care and Society Care. Through Cramo Care we strive to meet our ambitious sustainability targets in our everyday work. Our sustainability targets are: To maintain high credibility for our company, services and products. To ensure that we have safe and attractive working conditions. To continuously improve the environmental performance of our products and services throughout their life cycle. 6 CRAMO SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2014
7 Our Code of Conduct Cramo is a signatory of the UN Global Compact principles for responsible business. Since 2013, we also verify whether our suppliers support the UN Global Compact and that they meet local environmental, health and safety requirements. Most of our machinery and equipment are purchased from suppliers in Europe, the USA and Japan. Anchoring our ethical guidelines We work continuously to anchor and ensure compliance with our values throughout our organisation. One of the tools we use for doing so is Cramopol. Cramopol is a game to facilitate discussions for employees and management on ethical dilemmas and how to deal with them. Cramo signed the UN Global Compact principles in 2009 FINLAND Employees in Finland gathered in September/October in Oulu, Jyva skyla and Vantaa to play Cramopol. Ensuring compliance through whistleblowing Since 2013 we offer all our employees a whistleblowing service. We encourage everyone in our organisation to call attention to ethical concerns or suspected misconduct. Concerns can be reported directly to the management or anonymously through our whistleblowing service. A group policy defines how we deal with the information received through whistleblowing reports. In 2014 four cases of suspected misconduct were reported through this whistleblowing service. Two of them were investigated and efficiently resolved. In a company with high ethical standards it is vital to have a reliable whistleblowing function in place, since it provides an additional way to ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct. Helena Biström, Chairman of the Board CRAMO SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

11 Key competences Competent and committed employees are key drivers for customer satisfaction and sustainable profits. Our long-term focus on skills development is important for both competence and commitment. Cramo Development is our common framework for employee on-boarding, training and skills development across the Cramo Group. The purpose of Cramo Development is to encourage the professional growth of all employees throughout their career, thus ensuring professionalism and efficiency at all levels in the Group. Cramo Development defines the skills and competences needed for each position. The training modules, such as on-the-job Cramo School and Cramo Academy (management training), are continuously developed and adapted to new customer demands and local needs. In 2014 the Cramo School e-learning sessions became available to all employees in their own language. Annual average training per employee was 15 hours. 13 ENVIRONMENTAL CARE Energy efficiency Reducing energy consumption and cutting energy costs are key issues for Cramo and our customers. Cramo aims to increase the use of renewable energy for heating and electricity. Our depots work systematically with energysaving measures such as insulating doors and switching to energy-efficient lighting. Energy efficiency and renewable energy projects are prioritised in the service and product development process. Please read more about our energy-efficient solutions on page 20. Emissions are monitored using the international Greenhouse Gas Protocol for emission calculations. Cramo has implemented ISO management standards in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, and has annual energy targets in these markets. We participate in the international climate initiative Carbon Disclosure Project, and report our emissions on a yearly basis. We take a precautionary approach in environmental decisions.
