3 Cocoa Trade Negotiations FEEDAR & HR an Organization borne from Cocoa and Coffee peasants farmers in Cameroon remains committed to leverage concerns and resources to better the lives of millions of people depending entirely on the crop and trade for their sustainability. Cocoa production has remained a traditional and cultural crop bringing in generation of families into the cultivation, who inherit estates of the farms. Unfortunately these peasant farmers still face serious cultivation and marketing problems not being able to compromise with the challenges of poverty and hunger, food security, child labour, childhood education and other social issues. Pushing forward towards a sustainable production and cultivation of Cocoa crop while negotiating a better market- resource based approach will contribute to the sustainability of the forests, environment and the people. The responsibilities of the trade policy will be handled independently by FEEDAR & HR Co-operative and Micro credit unit. Cologne Germany. Meeting was held on the Sunday 31 st January 2010 in Hotel Park Inn Cologne between FEEDAR & HR represented by Director General Tcharbuahbokengo NFINN and Mr. Gonzalo Toro representing Bohnkaf-Kolonial GmbH & Co. KG (a cocoa trading company). Discussions were centred on introduction and confidence building in the trade. Terms of trade were discussed and a mutual understanding came to play paving the way for exchange of documents and keeping a promise for further talks. Douala Cameroon. Meeting took place in Akwa Palace Hotel on Sunday 7 th of March 2010 between Bohnkaf-Kolonial GmbH & Co. KG represented by Mr Toro Gonzalo and board members of FEEDAR & HR in presence; Chief Namata Maurice, Mrs Ebokoni Rose, Mr Ikoanuma Peter Sakwe, Mr Njaweli Samuel Mukete and Mr Mukete Andreas.
