2 SECTION 1: PROGRAM ABSTRACT The Bachelor of Business-Automotive Management Degree program is designed to provide a solid business education, allowing for the pursuit of further advanced degrees in addition to the acquisition of applied skills preparing graduates for employment in the largest industry in Canada in a variety of its sectors. The combination of business studies and applied learning focused on a specific industry is the cause of a 92% graduate placement rate to date. Articulation agreements have been steadily increasing between Georgian College and other degree-granting institutions providing numerous pathways for our graduates into Master s Degree programs. The high employment placement rate and preparedness for advanced studies are the result of carefully designed learning outcomes-created in cooperation with Georgian College, the standards imposed by PEQAB and our Board of Directors industry experts-that instruct students on marketing and sales, customer service, finance and accounting, aftermarket and dealership, regulations pertaining to the industry, and leadership and management skills. As well, these program learning outcomes serve to develop graduates team building, entrepreneurial, personal and professional goals and an appreciation for life-long learning in a culturally diverse economy. Significant co-op learning enhances academic study and offers valuable work experience essential for obtaining employment.
