HY SERIE USER S MANUAL 1. WARNINGS FOR THE USE AND SAFETY This instruction manual is an integrating part of the heat exchanger. We suggest to keep it safe and available during the entire life cycle of the present product. We suggest to read carefully all instructions and warnings this manual contains before to install the equipement. Installation must be done exclusively by qualified and experienced people, respecting the being in force norms. This equipement meets the european community laws requirements. The manufacturer declines every responsability in case of misuses or different uses from those allowed. The heat exchanger is intended exclusively for the use for which it has been developed; any other use must be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer disclaims all responsability for possible damages to things and people due to the non-observance of these instructions or to improper use or to modifications carried out by non authorized personnel. DO NOT CLOG UP ANY VENTILATION OPENING OR HEAT DISSIPATION SURFACE After unpacking, make sure about integrity of the product. In case of doubt do not use the equipement and ask exclusively to qualified personel. Packaging must be disposed environmentally friendly. Before to connect the heat exchanger to the electrical supply be sure about: electrical plant must meet the norms in force of the country tension of the electrical net and frequency must be the same as indicated on the equipement the circuit mus be equipped with the earthing Before any maintenance or cleaning service make sure that electrical supply is disconnected. NEVER TRY TO REPAIR THE EQUIPEMENT. Never try to repair the equipement. As soon as the installation is finished make a short check following the instructions you'll find hereby. If the equipement does not work, disconnect the equipement from the electrical net and ask immediately the manufacturer. DON'T TOUCH THE EQUIPEMENT WHEN RUNNING. heat exchanger could have some very hot surfaces. During the working the DO NOT MOVE THE NUMBER PLATE. The product id plate contains technical data, limits of use, tracking number and production batch. The plate is an integrating part of the product and it must be always well readable Oesse Oliekoelers - 157
HY USER S MANUAL SERIE 2. USERS MANUAL AND MAINTENANCE SERVICE The oesse's air-oil heat exchangers are usually installed to cool down hydraulic circuits along the return line or in some case on independent cooling units ASSEMBLING AND INSTALLATION Make sure to install properly the heat exchanger on a suitable base which must be strong enough to support the weight using the brackets. Do not use any support foreseen for the housing or for the electrical motor. The heat exchanger must be installed according the sketch of fig. 1 in order to guarantee the best performances and make easier both scewing the connectors and maintenance. We suggest to place the oil inlet piping in a lower position than outlet and to use flexible tubes of the same diameter of the connectors without any adapter as showed in the fig. 2. Make sure that in the hidraulic circuit where the heat exchanger is installed the pressure peaks are lower than the max working pressure allowed. Oesse's heat exchangers allow a max dynamic pressure of 16 bar and a max static pressure of 21 bar. Before to make the electrical connections make sure that tension and frequency are the same as indicated in the technical form of the model and proceed with wiring according the sketch of fig. 3. In case of different applications, please ask our technical service. Fig. 1 minimum 1m. minimum 1m. M Fig Oesse Oliekoelers - 158

Feed the circuit checking that rotation of the fan and air flow are the same as the arrows on the housing indicates. FAN DIRECTION AIR FLOW SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE During maintenance make sure that all the elecrical sources are disconnected CLEANING Oil Circuit To clean the oil circuit it is necessary to disconnect the heat exchanger from the main hidraulic circuit. The cleaning must be done by circulating, in a counter current flux, a degreasing compound compatible with aluminium. In case of oil regeneration or substitution of the exhausted oil a deep cleaning of the inside oil circuit is recommended. Make sure there is no residue before to re-connect the heat exchanger to the circuit. Secondary circuit Disconnect the heat exchanger and protect adequately the electrical motor. For ordinary maintenance we suggest to keep the cooler surface clean by using a compressed air flow (max 8 bar) Oesse Oliekoelers - 160
HY USER S MANUAL SERIE HY SERIES In case of higly dusty or oily environments we suggest to disconnect and disassemble the heat exchanger, to spray the cooler surface with a degreasing compound and wash with a high pressure water. After this operation re-assemble the heat exchanger. WARNING: water flow must follow the same direction of the fins trying to avoid movements of the fan. Not proper cleaning or the use of aggressive compounds to aluminium or to some of the components of the heat exchanger may be cause of danger and can compromise the functioning LOCK We suggest to check regularly that screws and bolts are well tightened expecially on the equipements installed on vibrating units. We suggest a tightening torque of Max 40Nm. 3. ALTERATION Any alteration to the heat exchangers without written approval from Oesse, will compromise the warranty term as it will be considered as an equipement tampering. 4. STORING AND SHIPMENT The heat exchanger must be stored and shipped with the original packaging only, and in any case avoiding damages to anyone of his components. We recomend to store the heat exchanger at a proper temperature in order to avoid condensation inside the electrical circuits. For the shipment please refer to the weight shown on the box or on the technical form. 5. LUBRICANTS Oesse suggest to use mineral oils free of contaminating or damaging compounds. Do not waste any oil in environment. Oesse recommend to dispose the exhausted oil only trough the official authorized services. 6. DISPOSAL The heat exchangers of Oesse are manufactured using only full recyclable materials. Disposal can take place respecting the environment according the local law requirements Oesse Oliekoelers - 161
HY USER S MANUAL SERIE 7. TERMINOLOGY - SPARE PARTS ELECTRICAL MOTOR WITH FAN CONVEYOR CORE THERMAL SWITCH 8. STATEMENT OF CONTROL All the heat exchangers are submitted to a final check for the functioning and for the project conformity. The under mentioned stamp states that all checks has been passed. 9. STATEMENTS Oesse can supply, where available upon request, statements about the tests, experimental tests or trials executed on the products and available in the technical documentation c/o the manufacturer as required by the norms Oesse Oliekoelers - 162
HY USER S MANUAL SERIE 10. WARRANTY CERTIFICATE The present warranty covers possible manufacturing defects of the heat exchanger for a period of one year from the purchasing date proved by valid fiscal document. For any extension please apply to the manufacturer. In order to have an operating warranty it is necessary to keep the warranty certificate together with a valid document quoting the description details of the product. Warranty means the replacement or the repairing of the parts of the equipment which turn out to be defective at the origin for manufacturing defects In case of irreparable or repeated defect at the same origin, upon unquestionable decision of the manufacturer, the equipment will be replaced. The warranty on the new equipment will continue till the end of the original contract In case the equipment shows defects which are not covered by the warranty and the warranty itself has expired, all the transport costs will be at the customer's expense The warranty is no longer valid if the parts turn out to be defected due to carelessness or negligence in using, wrong installation or maintenance, maintenance operated by unskilled personnel, transport damages or any circumstance unrelated to manufacturing defects of the equipment. All the operations concerning the installation and the connection to the feeding systems are excluded from the warranty. Warranty is excluded in case of normal wear of the equipment and of marginal defects which have a negligible effect on the value or the working of the equipment. Furthermore warranty is excluded in any case of incorrect use of the equipment Warranty is applied for customers in order with payments. The manufacturer disclaims all responsability for possible damages which can directly or not affect people, things or animals due to the non-observance of the above instructions.
