1 SuSan M. freeman ModEraTor Susan Freeman concentrates her practice on business bankruptcy and on appeals of all kinds. She is the only lawyer invited to membership (and leadership) in both the American College of Bankruptcy and the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers. Ms. Freeman has briefed and argued before the U.S. Supreme Court, and she is frequently invited to present materials and speak at seminars in Arizona and nationally. She currently co-chairs the Secured Creditors Subcommittee of the ABA Business Bankruptcy Committee. Ms. Freeman has been certified by the Arizona State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in bankruptcy law since 1987, and has been listed since 1989 in BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA in the appellate and bankruptcy categories. She has been named a "Local Litigation Star" in Arizona in the 2014 edition of Benchmark Litigation. She has also served as a mediator in complex bankruptcy disputes and as an expert witness, on behalf of professionals or trustees in Chapter 11 cases, including disputes over professionals' actions and qualifications. 2 bryant d. barber Bryant Barber is a partner in Lewis Roca Rothgerber LLP's Structured Finance Group, concentrating primarily in municipal and tribal capital markets. He has extensive experience in debt financing, including related areas of state and federal securities and tax law, and private-public partnerships. Long recognized for his ability to craft creative solutions to complex problems, Mr. Barber is frequently called upon for assistance by indenture trustees and tribal gaming authorities to restructure distressed transactions. 3 JEannE P. darcey Jeanne Darcey is a partner in Sullivan & Worcester LLP's Boston office, and head of the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group. Ms. Darcey has over 30 years of high-level and varied experience representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, indenture trustees and bondholders in out-of-court workouts, liquidations, creditor assignments and Chapter 11 proceedings. Ms. Darcey also advises clients acquiring assets out of bankruptcy, and often advises clients about litigation and other strategic alternatives involving high-yield or defaulted securities, and rights of licensors and licensees of intellectual property in bankruptcy.
