1 Business travel insurance 1.1 The validity and scope of the insurance Who is covered by the insurance The policyholder, as employer, has taken out this insurance policy for all its employees as insured parties, unless otherwise specified in the policy. The policyholder is also insured in accordance with Baggage Protection for property he or she owns, hires or borrows and that he or she takes as an employee on business travel. The insurance also covers travelling companions who are not employees, where this is stated in the insurance policy. The policyholder has the exclusive right to enter into a contract with Trygg-Hansa for amendment or termination of the policy and to accept cancellation of the policy. Trygg-Hansa is entitled, in the event of an insurance case, only to negotiate with the insured party regarding insurance compensation and to pay insurance compensation to the said party. Note: Employed person also refers to the CEO, contracted interns, board members, volunteers and officials when these are working on behalf of the policyholder. The insured person must be permanently resident in a country within the Nordic region (the home country) and must be registered in the social insurance system in his or her home country. Exceptions The insurance does not cover: a person who is permanently resident in a country outside the Nordic region travel to and from the residence/temporary residence and the place of work in the home country a person whose workplace is mainly on ships, trains or aircraft, unless otherwise agreed Specific professions where the insured person has no stationary workplace and regularly performs his/her daily work in different locations, for example, building and construction workers, repairmen, fitters, drivers and agency staff. The insurance does not apply during trips that are part of normal duties. However, this exception may be removed by extending the policy to cover these professions. 1.2 When the insurance applies The insurance is valid unless otherwise agreed for business travel during the insurance period if the insurance was in force from the time the insured person leaves his or her residence or ordinary workplace and ends on return to either of these places, though for no longer than a consecutive period of 210 days, unless otherwise stated in the insurance policy. If the business trip is interrupted for a homeward journey to Sweden, the return trip abroad is counted as the same journey and not as the start of a new trip. Private travel In conjunction with business travel abroad, the policy also applies to private travel. This applies provided that the trip is made in direction connection to or after the business trip ends, and before return to the place of business or place of residence. The trip or stay can be for a maximum of 7 days after the business trip or service has ended. Note: Business trip/travel refers here to a trip/assignment that is undertaken as part of work on behalf of the policyholder. The destination of the trip should be outside the insured person's regular place of business. Place of business refers here to an area whose outer boundary lies at a road distance of 50 km (most direct) from the insured person's workplace Page 3 of 36
or place of residence. Travel between the insured person's workplace and place of residence is not to be considered business travel. Additional agreement for short trips Without a separate additional agreement, the insurance does not cover trips involving a shorter road distance than that stated above. However, the insurance can be extended to cover so-called short trips if specifically indicated in the insurance policy. Note: 'Short trip' refers to travel within the specified 50 km boundary. Such trips/assignments must also be carried out in the capacity of employee of the policyholder. 1.3 Where the insurance applies The insurance is valid worldwide, except for those countries/areas to which the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs (UD) advises against travel in whole or part. Exceptions If a business trip to a country/area commences, despite recommendations not to travel issued by the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs (UD), this means that the insurance does not apply to the said country/area. Note: The above relates to the circumstances prevailing at the start of the business trip. For information on which countries/areas the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs (UD) advises against travelling to, see This exception can be lifted in cases where a claim is unrelated to the Ministry's advice. Note: Any references to Sweden in these terms and conditions also apply to any of the other Nordic countries, if the insured person is resident there. War damage Special provisions apply in areas affected by war, war-like events, etc. See (War damage). 1.4 What the insurance covers The insurance covers treatment and travel costs for acute illness and accidental injury and disability and death compensation for accidental injury in accordance with medical expenses, see travel costs, see disability and death compensation for accidental injury see baggage protection, see 1.7.5, delay protection, see 1.7.6, crisis insurance, see 1.7.7, excess protection, see indemnity insurance (Liability for damages) for private individuals, see 1.12 legal protection insurance for private individuals, see 1.13 assault protection (physical injury), see Special provisions There are special provisions for plane crashes, war risks and nuclear damage, see Insurance amount The insurance covers necessary and reasonable costs for medical and travel expenses and travel interruption as follows: Page 4 of 36

The concept of acute illness Acute illness refers here to an unexpected deterioration in health that is not to be regarded as accidental injury. Page 5 of 36
The concept of accidental injury Accidental injury refers to: Physical injury sustained by the insured person involuntarily through sudden external event, an extrinsic force against the body. If a physical defect (illness, pathological change, deformity and disability) already existed when the accident occurs or it sets in later, unrelated to the accidental injury, and it can be assumed that the physical defect causes the effects of the injury to worsen, compensation will only be paid for the effects arising independently of the physical defect and solely owing to the accidental injury. Accidental injury also includes: frostbite heatstroke sunstroke infection due to insect bite Achilles tendon rupture and torsional knee strain Accidental injury does not include: dental injury from biting and chewing injury arising due to infection by bacteria, viruses or other infectious agents injury arising from the use of medical preparations, surgery, treatment or examination not occasioned by accidental injury covered by this insurance health deterioration that occurs after the accident if this deterioration, according to medical assessment, would likely have arisen even if the accident had not occurred. Limitation There are special provisions for plane crashes, war damage and nuclear damage, see Medical expenses Healthcare expenses Compensation is paid for necessary and reasonable costs for care and treatment by a qualified doctor, hospital care and treatment and remedies prescribed by a doctor for healing. The compensation is limited for: acute illness to costs up to 60 days from the first doctor's visit accidental injury to costs incurred within 5 years from the date when the accidental injury occurred. After 60 days, only the costs of healthcare in Sweden will be compensated. Compensation for medical expenses is not paid after definitive medical disability compensation has been paid by any insurance policy. Dental costs Compensation is paid for necessary and reasonable expenses for temporary treatment of acute dental problems during a trip performed by a dentist at the place of stay. Dental problems refers, for instance, to damage to dentures that were in place in the mouth when damaged. If the insured person's teeth are damaged in an accidental injury, compensation will also be paid for treatment carried out by a dentist at the place of residence in Sweden within 5 years of the accident. Treatment and costs must be approved in advance by Trygg-Hansa. For treatment involving a single implant, compensation will be paid up to a maximum of 50% of the price base amount. For implants in the form of bridgework, compensation will be paid at a maximum of 50% of the price base amount per implant support. The maximum compensation is 1 price base amount for the entire implant treatment. The relevant price base amount at the time of payment is applied. Page 6 of 36
Damage to a fixed denture is compensated as per the rules for damage to a natural tooth. This also applies to removable dentures damaged when in place in the mouth. Once the policy has paid insurance for final treatment of the dental injury, no further compensation will be paid. However, compensation can be paid if there is deterioration that could not have been predicted at the time of final treatment, and this is the result of the accidental injury. This must take place within 3 years of completion of the final treatment. For temporary treatment of acute dental problems and injuries resulting from chewing or biting, the compensation is limited to SEK 3,000. Note: For dental care that in Sweden would have been reimbursed by Försäkringskassan or the County Council, e.g. due to occupational injury, the insured person must initially contact Försäkringskassan/the County Council for compensation. LIMITATION If pathological or other changes normal for their age are present at the time of the accidental injury, compensation will only be paid for the injury that it is assumed would have been the result if the changes had not been present when the injury occurred. Injuries caused by chewing or biting are not counted as accidents and are not compensated. However, compensation is payable for temporary dental treatment carried out at the place of stay as below. Additional costs for food and accommodation, plus certain travel expenses In connection with otherwise compensable injury due to acute illness or accidental injury, compensation is paid for the injured person and any insured companion covered by the insurance, as follows: for necessary and reasonable additional costs, as per receipt, for accommodation outside the place of residence additional costs for food up to a maximum of SEK 200 per day and person. This applies if a qualified and impartial doctor prescribes an extension of stay or change of accommodation. If the business trip is undertaken by plane and the flight tickets for the return journey cannot be rebooked, compensation will be paid for necessary and reasonable ticket costs due to the illness or accidental injury causing an extension of the length of time at the place of stay. Expenses must be approved by SOS International or Trygg-Hansa and be verified by original receipts. LIMITATION Compensation is paid up to 60 days from the first doctor's visit Travel costs for acute illness or accidental injury Travel in connection with medical and dental treatment The following travel costs are included: If the insured person needs to travel to get medical or dental care, compensation will be paid for local travel costs. If the insured person has to travel home to seek medical care in Sweden during a stay abroad, compensation will be paid as per Additional costs for homeward journey to the place of residence, below. Additional costs for homeward journey to the place of residence If a qualified and impartial doctor at the place of stay abroad deems that the insured person must return to the place of residence in Sweden for continuing care, compensation will be paid for the additional costs for the homeward journey. Both the necessity of the homeward journey and the means of transport must be stipulated by the doctor at the place of stay and approved by SOS International A/S or Trygg-Hansa. Page 7 of 36
Repatriation of the deceased or burial on site If the insured person dies during a business trip, Trygg-Hansa will pay the cost of repatriating the deceased by plane, car, train or boat. LIMITATION In the event of death outside Sweden, instead of repatriation to the place of residence in Sweden as above, the funeral costs at the place of stay can be paid, up to a maximum of SEK 30,000. Journey by close relative to a seriously ill or deceased person If the insured person suffers an acute illness or suffers an accidental injury abroad and a doctor judges the condition to be life-threatening, Trygg-Hansa will pay any necessary and reasonable costs for ticket and living expenses for two close relatives to travel from Sweden and back again. The same applies if the insured person dies abroad and the funeral takes place at the place of stay. Travel from countries other than Sweden can be paid up to the value of what it costs to travel from Sweden and back. A new outward journey or rebooked journey If the insured person, in the opinion of a qualified and impartial doctor, cannot carry out his work due to acute illness or accidental injury that occurred during a business trip, Trygg-Hansa, after approval, will pay compensation to the employer for ticket costs for: the substitute's outward journey if the employer, for commercial reasons, needs to replace the insured person with another person a new outward journey for the insured person if they resume work after recovery and for the substitute's homeward journey. Homeward journey in the event of a relative's illness/serious accidental injury/death Trygg-Hansa will pay compensation for necessary and reasonable additional costs for a return journey to the place of residence in Sweden via scheduled transport services if the insured person is forced to interrupt his or her travel earlier than expected due to a close relative or close work colleague in the place of residence or a work colleague who is on the trip and is covered by the same insurance dies or is affected by an acute illness or suffers a serious accidental injury. The condition must be judged by a doctor to be life-threatening. LIMITATION Compensation for the necessary return journey will only be paid if the insured person arrives home at least 48 hours before the intended and planned return. COMPENSATION The insurance also includes reimbursement to the employer for ticket costs if travelling via scheduled transport services for: the substitute's outward journey if the employer, for commercial reasons, needs to replace the insured person with another person, or a new outward journey for the insured person if they resume work after the close relative has recovered or died and for the substitute's homeward journey. Homeward journey due to significant damage to the private residence Trygg-Hansa covers necessary and reasonable additional costs for the return journey to the place of residence in Sweden via scheduled transport services if the insured person is forced to break off the trip earlier than expected due to: significant damage to the insured's personal property at his or her ordinary residence in Sweden due to fire or other serious unforeseen event. The homeward journey must be approved in advance by Trygg-Hansa. LIMITATION Compensation for the necessary return journey will only be paid if the insured person arrives home at least 48 hours before the intended and planned return. Page 8 of 36
COMPENSATION The insurance also includes reimbursement to the employer for ticket costs if travelling via scheduled transport services for: the substitute's outward journey if the employer, for commercial reasons, needs to replace the insured person with another person, or a new outward journey for the insured person if they resume work and for the substitute's homeward journey Disability and death compensation for accidental injury If the insured person suffers an accidental injury and this leads to permanent disability or death, compensation will be paid for: medical or economic disability death. Insurance amount The insurance amounts lump sums for disability and death are listed in the insurance policy document. Limitation Disability compensation can never be paid for both medical and economic disability. If the insured person's health deteriorates due to a physical defect (illness, pathological change, deformity or disability) that either already existed at the time of the accidental injury or that arose later unrelated to the accidental injury, no compensation will be paid for the disability caused by the deterioration. Note: The insured person must have seen a doctor who issued a medical certificate during the business trip or otherwise be able to prove the accidental injury occurred during the trip. The concept of disability Disability means that the accidental injury led to future permanent impairment of the insured person's physical function for the future or his or her capacity for work for the future was reduced by at least 50 per cent as a result of the injury. When assessing the degree of disability, a distinction is made between medical and economic disability Entitlement to disability compensation The right to disability compensation arises if the accidental injury has caused a permanent impairment of the insured person's physical function and the condition is steady and not life-threatening. Steady means that the condition will not change either for better or worse. One prerequisite for the right to disability compensation is that the accidental injury must have occurred during the time the insurance was valid and that medical disability must have occurred within 3 years of the insurance having been valid at the latest. With medical disability, the right to disability compensation arises no earlier than 12 months after the accidental injury occurred. However, the disability assessment may be deferred as long as this is necessary according to medical assessment or with respect to the available rehabilitation options. If the insurance is no longer valid when the definitive degree of disability is to be assessed, only the direct effects of the accidental injury that occurred when the insurance was valid will be taken into account. Page 9 of 36
If, once the disability status has arisen, the definitive medical degree of disability still cannot be assessed, an advance will be paid to the insured person when possible. This will correspond to the degree of medical disability that can be determined. For final disability assessment, a sum corresponding to the percentage increase in the level of compensation will be paid. The index at the time of payment will be applied. The compensation will be paid to the insured person. If death occurs before the right to disability compensation has arisen, no disability compensation will be paid. If the right to disability compensation has arisen, the sum is paid that is equivalent to the confirmed definitive medical disability that is assumed to have existed at the time of death. Right to re-examination If the accidental injury means that the insured person's physical function significantly deteriorates after Trygg-Hansa had made a final decision on the insured person's right to compensation as a result of the accidental injury, the insured person is entitled to have the degree of disability re-examined due to the new circumstances. Re-examination is permitted if the insured person, within 10 years of the accidental injury, has made a written request to Trygg-Hansa for re-examination and provided information about the circumstances that entail the right to re-examination. Disability aids In addition to the compensation for disability as determined by the degree of disability, compensation is also paid for any assistance and rehabilitation aids that doctors deem necessary to alleviate a disability condition and which are not covered elsewhere by law or specific statute, such as through municipal or county council assistance, or other insurance. Maximum compensation Compensation will be a maximum of SEK 50,000 of costs pre-approved by Trygg-Hansa. Compensation is paid for a maximum of 5 years from the occurrence of the accidental injury. This is provided the measures are taken during the time when the insurance is valid. Compensation for disfiguring scars from accidental injury The insurance compensates scars or other disfigurements caused by accidental injury that required medical treatment. Compensation can only be paid if the injury is so serious that medical treatment is required. It is not sufficient for a doctor to simply look at the injury if this is not followed by any treatment. Treatment here refers to a wound that needs to be sewn or taped, for instance. Compensation will be paid according to a table drawn up by Trygg-Hansa valid at the time of payment. The right to compensation only arises after completion of treatment and once any scar or disfigurement is deemed to be permanent, but no earlier than one year from the date of injury. Exceptions The insurance does not compensate: an injury that did not require medical treatment a scar or disfigurement resulting from accidental injury that occurred before the initial date of the policy Entitlement to death compensation There is a right to death compensation if the insured person, as a result of the accidental injury, dies within 3 years. Insurance provider For death insurance, the insurance provider is Holmia Livförsäkring AB ( ) Box 50, SE Stockholm, Sweden. Page 10 of 36
Amount of compensation The death sum is specified in the insurance policy. Beneficiaries The compensation is paid to the insured person's estate, unless specific beneficiary arrangements have been notified to Trygg-Hansa. A special beneficiary form can be ordered from Trygg-Hansa Exceptions The following exceptions ( ) apply generally to (Medical costs), (Travel costs) and (Disability and death compensation in the event of accident). Page 11 of 36
Heath/Care needs Compensation is not paid for: care, travel or other costs due to care needs that existed before the insured person commenced the business trip. Compensation is then paid for the additional cost resulting from the deterioration care, travel or other costs in connection with illness or accident that is predictable before departure from Sweden costs that can be reimbursed by the public social insurance scheme additional costs owing to pathological or age-normal changes care, travel or other costs caused by childbirth or pregnancy beyond week 28. cost of transport home or other transport occasioned by the insured person's fear of infection vaccinations, preventive healthcare and regular dental care refers to private medical care in the Nordic region Mode of transport Compensation is not paid for: costs of ships or planes having to alter route due to the insured person's injury or illness Activities Compensation will not be paid for costs associated with acute illness or accidental injury that is sustained when the insured person was taking part in: boxing, kickboxing, Thai boxing, shootfighting or K1 mountaineering, scuba diving (if the insured person has a valid international diving certificate, however, the insurance is valid), skydiving, gliding and paragliding, hang-gliding, bungee jumping, and participating in expeditions or other risky ventures sports, sports competitions or organised training, as a professional sportsman. However, no reduction in compensation will be effected if the insured person can show that there was probably no link between the influence of alcohol and the injury Baggage protection (All-risk) What the insurance covers The insurance covers damage to baggage during a business trip caused by a sudden and unforeseen event. Damage also refers to loss. Note: Suddenness means that the event causing the damage had a relatively quick process. The fact that the event was unforeseen means that it must have occurred unexpectedly, and that it is not normally possible to predict and thereby prevent such events. MAXIMUM COMPENSATION: The maximum compensation amount per insured person for each claim is SEK 75, Claim assessment rules The amount of compensation for disability and the amount of compensation for damage to property is determined in accordance with the following rules (1.9.1 and 1.9.2) Amount of compensation for disability Disability compensation consists of part of the insurance amount for disability equivalent to the degree of disability for disability at the age the insured person had reached at the time of the accident. Disability compensation is determined based on the economic disability, where relevant, or otherwise the medical disability. However, this determination must be based on the medical disability where this would lead to higher disability compensation. Where the insured person had reached 55 years old by the time of the accident, only compensation for medical disability will be paid. If the functional capacity can be improved by the use of a prosthesis, the degree of disability will be determined taking into account the prosthesis. Page 19 of 36
The determination is independent of the degree to which the insured person's capacity for work is impaired. Compensation for economic disability Where the accidental injury has resulted in permanent impairment of the insured person's capacity for work by at least 50 per cent, according to the insurer's assessment, disability compensation will be paid. One prerequisite for this is, however, that the accidental injury must have led to the said loss of capacity for work within 5 years of the date of injury. Where the insured person at the time of injury has reached 18 years of age, the economic disability must have arisen within 10 years of the accidental injury having occurred. The accidental injury must have occurred during the period when the insurance was in force and before the 55th birthday, and have led to economic disability before the 60th birthday. The basis for determining the degree of economic disability will solely be such symptoms and functional impairments caused by the accidental injury as can be confirmed objectively by Trygg-Hansa. Only the reduction in any capacity for work used immediately before the accidental injury and that would probably have been used if the capacity for work had not been lost will be taken into consideration. This determination is made with respect to the insured person's capacity, despite the accidental injury, to carry out his or her normal work or other work corresponding to his powers and abilities and that may reasonably be required of him with respect to age, previous training and activities, retraining or similar measures, and home circumstances. Capacity for work is considered permanently reduced when all options for work, including other professions, have been considered. All options for rehabilitation must also have been investigated. The degree of disability is determined on the basis of the loss of capacity for work caused by the accidental injury. The accidental injury must also have caused medical disability before the economic disability occurred and within 3 years of the date of the injury. Compensation for medical disability When the accidental injury has caused permanent impairment of the insured person's physical function and the condition is steady, disability compensation will be paid. One prerequisite for the right to compensation is that the accidental injury must have caused some measurable disability within 3 years. However, final assessment will only be made once the degree of disability has been definitively determined and within 3 years of the date of injury at the latest. The degree of medical disability is determined based on the industry-wide set of tables valid at the time of payment. If the accidental injury has caused injuries to several parts of the body, so that the total degree of disability exceeds 100 per cent, the compensation will be capped at 100% of the insurance amount Damage to property (baggage) Damaged and lost property is valued according to the same rules and as follows. The company's property The property is valued according to Trygg-Hansa's terms for Company insurance, point 1.10 (Claim assessment rules). How property is valued depends on the valuation group to which the object belongs. VALUATION GROUP 1 Page 20 of 36
Books, antiques, works of art, genuine handmade rugs, weapons and highly-collectible items The property will be valued at market value. Damage is valued at what it would cost in general commerce to purchase an equivalent item in a similar condition to the said property at the time of the damage. If there is no equivalent item for sale second-hand, the item will be valued at what it probably would have cost, if it had existed. Collections will be valued in their entirety. VALUATION GROUP 2 Jewellery, pearls, gemstones and objects wholly or partly of precious metal, although not watches of precious metal including bracelets. Older property where compensation is paid at less than 100%: Compensation is paid as a percentage of the new price for an equivalent item as listed below, calculated from when the property was new. The following compensation levels are based on what the trade generally recommends as depreciation per year for various types of property. If the value has decreased not only due to age, wear and tear or obsolescence but also as a result of reduced usefulness to you or the company, a separate deduction will be made. Compensation levels Shoes newer than 1 year old are compensated at 100%, 1-2 years at 40%, and 2-3 years at 20%. Shoes older than 3 years are compensated at the second-hand price in general commerce. Clothes newer than 1 year old are compensated at 100%, 1-2 years at 60%, 2-3 years at 40%, and 3-4 years at 20%. Clothes older than 4 years are compensated at the second-hand price in general commerce. Spectacles newer than 1 year old are compensated at 100%, 1-2 years at 80%, 2-3 years at 60%, 3-4 years at 40%, and 4-6 years at 20%. Spectacles older than 6 years are entirely written off with respect to wear, change in vision, and obsolescence, etc. Videos, video cameras and ski equipment newer than 1 year are compensated at 100%, 1-2 years at 70%, 2-3 years at 55%, and 3-4 years at 40%. Wristwatches newer than 1 year old are compensated at 100%, 1-2 years at 100%, 2-3 years at 100%, and 3-4 years at 60%. Wristwatches older than 4 years are compensated at the second-hand price in general commerce. The above rules do not apply if it leads to unreasonable results. Such objects are valued instead according Valuation Group 5, Other personal property below. VALUATION GROUP 4 Food and homemade objects, photographs, film, disc and tape recordings and objects that the insured person made for personal use (e.g., homemade clothes, cooked food and models). New equivalent items can be purchased in general commerce: if purchase is made within 6 months, compensation will be equivalent to what it costs in general commerce for buying a new equivalent item if purchase is not made within 6 months, compensation will be equivalent to 65% of what it costs in general commerce for buying a new equivalent item New equivalent items cannot be purchased in general commerce: You receive compensation for the costs of the raw material. If the value has decreased not only due to age, wear and tear or obsolescence, but also as a result of reduced usefulness to you or the company, an additional deduction will be made. Property for which the value due to age, wear and tear or obsolescence has gone down by more than 30%: Compensation will be paid at the same rate as it costs to purchase an equivalent second-hand item in general commerce. If the value has decreased not only due to age, wear and tear or obsolescence, but also as a result of reduced usefulness to the insured person or the company, a separate deduction will be made. OTHER VALUATION RULES A claim is valued based on prices at the time when the insured person can determine his or her claim for compensation at the earliest, but no later than two months from the date of the claim. Valuable documents are valued at the loss you suffer at the time of the claim. If damaged property can be repaired, the damage will be valued at the reasonable repair cost. The repair cost may never exceed the compensation the insured person can receive in accordance with the rules previously indicated Compensation rules Claims are assessed in accordance with 1.9 (Claim assessment rules) and compensated as follows. It is the direct economic loss that is compensated. Direct economic loss is not considered to include: emotional value Page 22 of 36

Funeral costs If the insured person dies as a result of murder or manslaughter, the insurance pays compensation for funeral expenses, at a maximum of SEK 30,000. Funeral costs are paid to the estate. Exceptions The insurance does not compensate: damage/injury inflicted by the perpetrator in his or her duties and that his employer, under the law of damages, is obliged to pay (the employer's vicarious liability) if the insured person lives with the perpetrator. However compensation may be paid under crisis insurance. if damage/injury relates to, or the insured person was affected by it, when he or she was carrying out or assisting in a criminal act that, according to Swedish law, may lead to a prison sentence Requirement for prudence/safety regulation The compensation may be reduced if the insured person exposes themselves to risk of injury without reasonable cause. It may also be reduced if the insured person exposes themselves to risk of injury due to being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants. Normally, the compensation will be reduced by 25%. However, compensation may be paid if the insured person can show that there was probably no link between the effect of alcohol and the injury. Note: The requirement of prudence does not apply if you are the victim of sexual crime. If the insured person has neglected their obligations under the insurance contract, the insurance compensation will be reduced by a reasonable deduction. The extent of the reduction will be determined by what is deemed reasonable with regard to all relevant circumstances. The key is whether the neglect was committed intentionally or otherwise the degree of negligence. Consideration is given to whether there are extenuating circumstances or if the reduction would be unreasonably large. In the event of serious breach of the insured person's obligations, compensation may be withdrawn entirely. Disability sustained as a result of compensable assault injury Disability means that the assault injury results in permanent impairment of physical function (medical disability) or the capacity for work in the future is permanently reduced by at least 50% as a result of the injury (economic disability). When assessing the degree of disability, a distinction is made between medical and economic disability. Medical disability The insurance compensates: Medical disability: For the future, permanent impairment of your physical or psychological function caused by the assault injury. Disfiguring scar or other disfigurement, permanent pain, loss of sensory function or internal organs caused by an assault injury that required medical treatment. The insurance does not compensate: Injury that did not result in any measurable disability within three years of the assault. More than 100% disability for the same assault injury. Page 31 of 36
Scars or disfigurements that did not require medical treatment. Disability compensation under section Disability and death compensation for accidents. Other provisions concerning medical disability The degree of disability is determined with reference to the injuries and symptoms caused by the accident and which can be determined objectively. The determination is independent of the degree to which the claimant's capacity for work was impaired due to the accidental injury. If a lost body party can be replaced by a prosthesis, the degree of disability will be determined with regard to the function of the prosthesis. The degree of medical disability is determined based on the industry-wide set of tables valid at the time of payment. Determination of disfiguring scars or other disfigurements is based on a set of tables established by Trygg-Hansa. If the same assault causes damage to multiple body parts, compensation for the estimated degree of disability is paid at a maximum of 100%. Any injured body part that was not fully healthy and functional before the assault will be discounted from the former degree of disability. Economic disability The insurance compensates economic disability caused by an assault injury that occurs before the age of 55 provided the following is met: capacity for work is permanently reduced by at least 50% the assault injury resulted in medical disability all options for work training and rehabilitation have been investigated The insurance does not compensate economic disability: if the capacity for work is reduced by less than 50% as a result of assault injury that occurs after the age of 55 after the 60th birthday under section Disability and death compensation for accidents. Determining compensation The basis for determining the degree of economic disability will solely be such symptoms and functional impairments caused by the assault injury that can be confirmed objectively by Trygg-Hansa. Only the reduction in any capacity for work used immediately before the assault injury and that would probably have been used if the capacity for work had not been lost will be taken into consideration. The determination is made with respect to the insured person's capacity, despite the assault injury, to carry out his or her normal work or other work corresponding to his powers and abilities and that may reasonably be required of him with respect to age, previous training and activities, retraining or similar measures, and home circumstances. Capacity for work is considered permanently reduced when all options for work, including other professions, have been considered. All options for rehabilitation must also have been investigated. If the insured person was wholly or partially unable to work at the time of the injury, the maximum compensation payable will be equivalent to the loss of the remaining capacity for work. The degree of disability is determined on the basis of the loss of capacity for work caused by the assault injury. The assault injury must also have caused medical disability before the economic disability occurred and within three years of the date of the injury. Amount of compensation The compensation consists of part of the insurance amount equivalent to the degree of disability. The compensation is determined based on the economic disability, where relevant, or otherwise the medical disability if this leads to higher compensation. If compensation has been paid for medical disability, a deduction will be made for the sum paid. Page 32 of 36
The right to compensation The following conditions must be met for entitlement to qualify for economic disability compensation: The capacity for work must be judged to have been permanently reduced for the future by at least 50% The assault injury must have resulted in medical disability Medical and vocational rehabilitation must have been investigated and implemented The attack must occur before the 55th birthday. If death occurs before the right to compensation arises, no compensation will be paid for economic disability Common rules for medical and economic disability Option to review compensation if disability increases If the assault injury means that the insured person's physical function significantly deteriorates or they lose further capacity for work after Trygg-Hansa had made a final decision on the insured person's right to compensation as a result of the assault injury, the insured person is entitled to have the degree of disability re-examined due to the new circumstances. Re-examination is permitted if the insured person, within ten years of the assault injury, has made a written request to Trygg-Hansa for re-examination and provided information on the circumstances that entail the right to re-examination Claim assessment and compensation rules The compensation is determined in accordance with generally applicable legal rules on damages. However, if a court: adjusts the damages due to the perpetrator's personal circumstances (e.g. minority, mental illness or economic conditions) in such cases Trygg-Hansa will pay full damages without adjustment because of consent or for any other reason, imposes a higher amount than dictated by common practice in current law, compensation will be paid up to the amount that would be imposed under the rules of applicable law Claims settlement provisions If the insured person is injured, he or she must provide all the details and documents proving that he or she is entitled to damages and that the person responsible is unknown or unable to pay damages. In order for Trygg-Hansa to be able to pay compensation, the insured person must show that it is likely that it would not be possible to recover compensation from the perpetrator. In order for Trygg-Hansa to be able to determine whether or not the insured person needs to bring an action to trial, it is vitally important that the insured person provides us with all information of importance as soon as possible. Page 33 of 36
2 Cancellation insurance additional insurance The business trip insurance also covers cancellation costs as below if this is specifically stated in the insurance policy. 2.1 The scope of the insurance and the insurance amount The insurance covers cancellation of business travel booked for the employee on behalf of the employer (the policyholder) by a travel agency or other provider of travel/events. The insurance covers purchased and non-rebookable tickets (travel/events) that are cancelled before departure from the policyholder's (company's) ordinary place of business. The insurance pays compensation for cancellation costs with regard to the price of the ticket (trip/event) with a deduction for any refund from the transport company/travel organiser on the following conditions: cancellation as a result of accidental injury, acute illness or death that affects the employee or a close relative of the employee cancellation as a result of a sudden and unforeseen natural disaster of major proportions that is considered a catastrophe by the local authority at or near the travel destination the employee intended to visit on business. Compensation is paid only for the cancellation costs not reimbursed by the transport company/travel organiser in accordance with established cancellation provision. Compensation is not paid for flight taxes. The compensation will be paid to the employer (the policyholder). In order for the insurance to be valid, the following applies: compensation is not paid if another insured person employed by the policyholder can travel instead the cancellation must be implemented immediately, the same day or the day after at the latest, when the reason for cancellation becomes known the reason for the cancellation was unexpected for the employee and of such a nature that the employee could not reasonably participate in the trip the reason for the cancellation must be supported by a certificate from a doctor, official body, the police, etc. Maximum compensation sum The maximum compensation sum per cancelled trip/event and person is SEK 25,000. However, the maximum for all the insured persons together is SEK 75,000. Excess The cancellation protection is valid with no excess. Exceptions The insurance is not valid for damage or injury, the origin or extent of which is directly or indirectly caused or linked to the following: war, warlike events, civil war, revolution, insurrection or riot. in connection with nuclear process Claims settlement provisions With regard to registering claims, see Claims settlement provisions. Page 34 of 36
3 Definitions Explanations 3.1 Object types Money Money refers to current coins, notes and stamps. 3.2 Other Employee Employee refers to a person who receives remuneration for his or her gainful work and thus receives a statement of earnings from his or her employer. Acute illness Acute illness refers to an unexpected deterioration in health that is not to be regarded as accidental injury. Public transport Public transport refers to travel by train, plane, bus or boat, etc. on scheduled services and taxi, i.e. transport intended to be used for passenger traffic by the public. Economic disability Economic disability is a permanent reduction in the insured person's capacity for work as a result of accidental injury. Capacity for work is considered permanently reduced when all options for work, including other professions, have been considered. One prerequisite for the right to compensation for economic disability to be considered is that the capacity for work is deemed to be permanently reduced by at least 50%. Disability Disability refers to an accidental injury that leads to a permanent reduction in the insured person's physical function (medical disability) or that has reduced his or her capacity for work for the future by at least 50 per cent as a result of the injury (economic disability). When assessing the degree of disability, a distinction is made between medical and economic disability. Medical disability Medical disability is physical or mental impairment that is determined independently of the insured person's profession and working conditions or leisure activities. Such impairment must be objectively verified. Medical disability also covers permanent pain, loss of internal organs and loss of sensory function. If a lost body party can be replaced by a prosthesis, the degree of disability will be determined with regard to the function of the prosthesis.
