3 The Supervising Doctoral Studies program The Advising Doctoral Students program has been adapted for US universities from the global Supervising Doctoral Studies program. Published in August 2014, the original Supervising Doctoral Studies program was designed to meet the needs of graduate schools, doctoral advisors and students in the UK, Australasia and other regions with similar advising processes and requirements.
