1 Business Fundamentals Sales Log and Client Tracking System The Expanded Retail Sales Log helps you remember client information and track any changes in preferences for Amway products. EXPANDED RETAIL SALES LOG Using the Tool: Expanded Retail Sales Log, you will be able to keep track of your clients and how to best supply them with products that are most useful for them. Use it in preparation for and during sales meetings and for follow-up. Tool Key: Client Profile Enter this information into the following fields of the Client Profile: Client #: enter the client number assigned by Amway. Contact Information Name: enter the client s name. Address: enter client s address. Best Time to Call: enter the best time for you to call this client. This may be in the morning or evening. Phone: enter the client s phone number. Alternate Phone: enter the client s alternate phone number if he or she has one. Address: enter the client s address. Personal Information Occupation: enter the client s occupation. Birthday: if provided by the client, enter the client s birthday. Marital Status: enter the client s marital status. You may want to enter the spouse s name here. Children: enter the number of children the client has. Referral Information Referred by: enter the name of the person who referred the client to you. If you found the client yourself, write none. Relationship: describe how the person who referred you to the client knows the client. Possible Amway Products Enter any products you know the client may be interested in. Special Notes Enter any other notes about the client.

3 Tool Key: Client Contact Detail Enter this information into the following fields of the Client Contact Detail: Date: enter the date of the meeting with the client. Possible Products: enter the names of any Amway products that the client may be interested in. Enter this information before your visit with the client. Products Discussed: write down the Amway products you actually talked about during your visit. Fill in this field immediately following your visit. Products Purchased: enter the names of any Amway products that the client bought into this field. Date of Purchase: enter the date of purchase for the Amway products. Fill in this field immediately following your visit with the client. Customer Satisfaction FU Date: enter the date you plan to follow up with the client. You should plan on following up with the client within two weeks (14 days) of a purchase. Fill in this field immediately following your visit with the client. Reorder Date: enter the date when the client should reorder the Amway products he/she bought during this visit. This date should be before the client runs out of the Amway product bought. For instance, if he/she bought a month s supply, this date should be about three weeks after the purchase date. Last Contact Date: enter the date that you made follow-up contact with the client. This date should be no later than two weeks after the client buys Amway products. Proposed FU Topic: enter the names of any Amway products you would like to discuss at a later time. Planned FU Date: enter the date for the next time you plan on contacting the client. You should arrange this date with your client during your follow-up call or meeting. Write this date down in the Planned Follow-up Date field. Notes: enter any information that does not belong in one of the other fields of the Client Contact Details table. For example, you might add a note that your client is considering moving soon and will need to revisit his/her cleaning supplies at the time of the move.

To practice using this Tool, complete the following steps: 1. Select several clients you want to track. 2. Record the client profile information from your client interviews into the Tool. 3. Establish a follow-up plan to check that each client s information is still current. 4. Set up a weekly time to review and update this information for each client. Directions: Using the Expanded Retail Sales Log will help you to record your client s purchases and to follow up with contacts. To practice using this Tool, complete the following steps: 1. Select a client relationship you want to develop further. 2. Identify four follow-up opportunities to further develop the relationship. 3. Update the Expanded Retail Sales Log for the client with this information.
