You will accompany Dr. Volz from 8 am to 6 pm and will be able to view all the details on a monitor via a camera which is integrated into the operating light. During surgery you can communicate directly with Dr. Volz via a communication system. In addition you will experience the Dr. Volz Biological Dentistry therapeutic concept which draws in patients from around the world. Interestingly the most common occupational group having implants by Dr. Volz are dentists. Society of Metal Free Implantology) Prof. Dr. Marcel Wainwright Prof. Dr. Wainwright invented 2007 with 2 colleagues the Intralift TM, a surgical technique based on ultrasonic surgery (TKW research group OA...). This procedure skips rotary instruments with a high risk of trauma to soft tissues and uses high frequency oscillating instruments which minimize the trauma to sensible structures. The precise working instruments and the reduced instrument size (3 mm) hence the bone inducing mechanisms of ultrasound application (based on a study of Dr. Nares, Chapel Hill Univeristy of North Carolina) are making the Intralift TM procedure safe, predictable and non invasive to the patient. The worldwide patented Intralift TM is applied in many countries and has the ability to substitute common lateral sinus grafting procedures. Publications in magazines, books and scientific studies in high impact magazines like the JOMS are available and sustain the efficacy of this technique. Prof. Dr. Wainwright is leading on the field of ultrasonic surgery and acknowledged specialist contributing worldwide lectures (i.e. USA, China,...) and has trained worldwide hundreds of colleagues in the field of ultrasonic surgery. 4
