A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FUNDED FROM THE PROCEEDS OF THE 3/8-CENT CAPITAL SALES AND COMPENSATING USE TAX, AND THE 2013 LIMITED TAX GENERAL OBLIGATION CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the electors approved an increase in the City Sales and Compensating Use Tax in order to accomplish the list of public purposes set forth in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 13,343 (July 11, 2011); and WHEREAS, the electors approved the issuance of Limited Tax General Obligation Bonds funded by real property tax millage proceeds, and, WHEREAS, the Board of Directors recently approved the initial projects to be funded during this three (3)-year cycle in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No.13,699 (May 21, 2013); and WHEREAS, specific engineering companies have been selected through a Statement of Qualifications process, Bid Number to provide engineering design and survey services for the initial projects to be funded during this three (3)-year cycle; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. SECTION 14. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. SECTION 15. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
