I have few ideas that I would like to discuss. #2 DEVELOPING A CO-PRODUCTION LAB Yes No 0 0 Maybe Great idea - am familiar with the format, in my spare time (!) I run Good For Nothing, which is essentially a hack/lab event supporting socially/environmentally focused local organisations. The format works well and I'd be interested in how it would translate for social learning. could be a webinar on the subject. There are lots of labs around and I think it is a good idea. But I would be very cautious with the "solution focused" aspect. I'm sure you've heard of There are organisation an assembly this Friday. You might like to learn from their experience.

3 Ensure access, space for users/carers to talk feel this would really help others learn pitfalls and good ways It would be great to do something which was practically useful, and which at the same time could spread the ideas and introduce people to what coproduction could mean in practice. I find this idea exciting and it fits with co-production values. It can also work well. #3 HOSTING CURATED VISITS Yes No Maybe 60 9 We could offer some practical opportunities around the co-produced monitoring work that we are doing with the Young Quality Assessors. We could offer the opportunity for people to shadow a co-produced quality assessment to a youth provision in Islington from start to finish. There may be opportunities also to talk to the young quality assessors about co-production and their experiences of it, both as co-producers themselves and as young people who are looking for evidence of co-production taking place in youth settings. This opportunity would be in the evening, in the week usually and would be at certain times of the year. We wouldn't be able to host a visit ourselves (and it wouldn't be relevant) but we could use our network of contacts, member organisations and case studies

4 to help build this up. Need to balance conflicting interests What I am most interested in in relation to this "in the day of flash visit" is to be able to access feedback on the experience of the visitors/explorers in an easy to share format e.g. one page case study with relevant links and...a taster video why now! good but time involved might be an issue OTHER IDEAS Developing the learning labs to size up to enable NHS and local authorities to use it to make improvements and cost effective services work for individuals. Developing brokerage and info events to help local people around personal budgets and navigate around health and social care including where financial contributions are required. Developing one page support profiles with patients and hospital staff to ensure proper and person centred care for people in hospital for 2 weeks or longer. I'd like to see a national conference on co-production that would bring several interests together and give it high profile Variations on the 'lab' idea. E.g. if someone wants a presentation, why not offer something a bit more practical and interactive. Work together to see how co-production might be applied in the given situation. We need to ensure that we "co-produce co-production" this means making sure users and carers are involved in all activities

5 What next? The new economics foundation, on behalf of the National Co-production Critical Friends, hopes to create some opportunities to try out these ideas. We need people to step forward to lead the different options, and offer their expertise. Your offer can be based on the three options addressed in the survey, or sparked by other ideas that were suggested. You may want to partner with someone you met at the starter event in order to lead an idea. For example: Would you like to facilitate a co-production lab or hack day to trial this idea? Do you know of a Local Authority, charity or other organisation (public/private sector) with questions about how to initiate co-production in their setting - who may be keen to participate in a lab, for example? Are you regularly asked to give presentations and would like to work with others to make them more interactive? Do you have ideas about ways that we can make sure users and carers are involved in activities that promote co-production?
