ULTRASOUND SCANS Ultrasound Scans At 3fivetwo Healthcare we offer a comprehensive range of Ultrasound scans as standalone appointments or as part of your Antenatal Care Package. Ultrasound scans are performed for various reasons, ranging from confirming a pregnancy, to reassuring you that your baby appears to have no gross structural or growth abnormalities. The following ultrasound scans are available at 3fivetwo Healthcare: Early pregnancy scan (performed at 8-10 weeks) This scan determines the presence of a heartbeat, multiple embryos and gestational age. Nuchal translucency scan (performed at weeks) This scan measures the nuchal fold/ translucency which is used as an indicator for the presence of Down s Syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities. Detailed normality scan (performed at weeks) This scan provides detailed information of the baby s major organs and any structural abnormalities present. The position of the placenta and amount of amniotic fluid present are also noted. The sex of the baby can be determined at this time. Foetal cardiac scan (performed at weeks) This scan is used solely to image the baby s heart to identify the presence of congenital defects or cardiac abnormalities. For further information or to book your scan, please contact us on or info@3fivetwo.com
HARMONY PRENATAL TEST Harmony Prenatal Test 3fivetwo Healthcare is delighted to be the first in Ireland to offer the Harmony Prenatal Test. This service is now available to every pregnant woman with a singleton pregnancy* who wants a safe, reliable, early and accurate test to verify that their baby has normal chromosomes. The Harmony Prenatal Test is a non-invasive maternal blood test that assesses the risk of fetal trisomies in pregnancies of 10 weeks or more. The test can confirm if your baby has a chromosomal abnormality. Test results will be returned within working days and advice and counselling options will be provided for all patients and their partners. Research shows that the harmony test is more than 99+ percent accurate in verifying any defects in your baby s chromosomal make up. *Please note that the Harmony Prenatal Test is always evolving through research and development. It has recently become available for twin pregnancies and 3fivetwo Healthcare are delighted to be able to offer this. Terms and conditions do apply when testing twin pregnancies. Please visit for more information. If you have any questions or would like to arrange an appointment, please contact us on or info@3fivetwo.com
GROUP B STREP TEST Group B Strep Test Group B Strep is a bacterium that can be carried by women in the rectum or vagina. There are usually no symptoms or harmful effects for a carrier, until she is pregnant, when there may a significant risk of infecting her new born baby, which can be fatal. Most GBS infection in new born babies can be prevented by giving high risk mothers intravenous antibiotics from the onset of labour until the baby is born. 3fivetwo Healthcare offer GBS testing using an Enriched Culture Medium (ECM) specifically designed to isolate GBS in swabs. Pregnant women should be tested for GBS between 35 and 37 weeks gestation, which allows enough time to get results and is also close enough to the delivery date to minimise the risk of GBS infection during labour. At 3fivetwo Healthcare, we can perform this test in our private clinic, or alternatively, we can provide home testing kits. If you have any questions or would like to arrange an appointment, please contact us on or info@3fivetwo.com
NUCHAL SCAN Nuchal Scan At 3fivetwo Healthcare we understand that the health of your unborn baby is one of the most important things during your pregnancy. With this in mind, we offer a comprehensive range of prenatal tests and scans to give you and your partner peace of mind throughout your journey. A Nuchal Scan is a screening test performed during weeks of your pregnancy that assesses whether or not your baby is likely to have Down s syndrome or other chromosomal abnormalities. This will provide detailed information including measurement of the Nuchal fold/ translucency which is used as an indicator (alongside a small or absent nasal bone) for the presence of Down s syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities. At 3fivetwo Healthcare, all Nuchal Scan results are correlated with data from Kings College Hospital (London) to provide individual risk. You may then be offered CVS (chorionic villous sample) at 12 weeks, or an amniocentesis at 16 weeks to provide definitive information for the presence of fetal abnormality. If you have any questions or would like to arrange an appointment, please contact us on or info@3fivetwo.com
4D ULTRASOUND SCAN 4D Ultrasound Scan Capture the miracle of your baby s development with a 4D Scan at 3fivetwo Healthcare. Our 4D ultrasound technology enables you to see your baby smile, yawn, stretch, kick and sleep in real time. We believe every pregnancy is unique, which is why we have invested in the highest quality scanning technology to allow you to bond with your baby in a more personal way. At 3fivetwo Healthcare we have the most experienced ultrasonographers in the country, helping ensure that your scan is both a memorable and magical moment of your pregnancy experience. At your 4D Ultrasound Scan you will receive: A detailed scan of your baby using the new generation of 4D Ultrasound scanner A printed report DVD of your scan to share with friends and family Colour/black & white images of your baby A 4D Scan can be performed during weeks of your pregnancy. This is the optimum time to have your scan as there is a greater volume of amniotic fluid and image quality is not compromised by the size of the baby. If you have any questions or would like to arrange an appointment, please contact us on or info@3fivetwo.com
