3 The Concept Behind WizeVest WizeVest offers you multiple tools to help you create a personalized trading solution. WizeVest includes over 100 mechanical trading strategies, which allow you to evaluate them with just a few mouse clicks. These trading strategies have been developed by advanced trading experts over years of development and validation. You can back test these trading strategies yourself with over twelve years of historical data, and you can also target specific historical time segments for evaluation. This allows you to analyze any of the strategies on a particular market timeframe to see how they perform in any market condition. The Portfolio of Strategies Concept While some WizeVest users may choose to concentrate on a single strategy, you may want to use multiple strategies to diversify your trading. On the top right you can see a simulated equity curve for hypothetical Strategy 1, in which we note a period where a significant loss was observed Below that you can see two more equity curve simulations from (hypothetical) Strategy 2 and (hypothetical) Strategy 3. Strategy 2 also experienced a loss, but it occurred at a different time. Strategy 3 ended up performing poorly. The composite (hypothetical) equity curve illustrates the effect of combining the 3 strategies together. Trading a Portfolio of Strategies can offer diversification as well as a way to have more of your account invested in the market at all times. Step 1: Select Your Trading Strategies Once you log in to WizeVest, you will be able to select a number of our trading strategies from our extensive Strategy Library. Our filtering tools let you home in on the type of strategies you want. For example, you can filter the strategy list to show you strategies that will fire long trades only. You could also filter to only show strategies that trade Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). Step 2: Test and Customize Your Strategies Once you have selected your strategies, you can analyze them on any range of data over the last twelve years. For example, you may want to see your strategies hypothetical performance during the market crash of You can simply change the testing date range to that year and WizeVest will show you the simulated results of your strategy configuration. WizeVest also includes a variety of settings and filters which allow you to completely customize your WizeVest trading experience. Step 3: Sit Back and Watch It Trade WizeVest will automatically run the strategies you selected, apply your settings and filters, and produce a personalized trade report each day.
