3 Cloud Computing Service and Business Agreements Duration 1 day Purpose: This workshop communicates the importance of Service Level Agreements based upon NIST Cloud Computing roles and value focused measures with analytics to support various cloud objectives. Many Standards Development Organizations (NIST, TM Forum, OMG, Cloud Security Alliance, ITU, ISO and others) have Cloud Computing Service Level Agreement communities and the workshop summarizes some of the major common findings and approaches. Topic Areas: Foundational SLA s Overview Contracts and SLAs Terms and Conditions Remediation Roles Legal Financial Services Cloud Specific SLA s Overview Roles Realistic Expectations Services and SLAs Service Management Service Models Policies Performance Resources Security & Privacy Legal Consideration Deployment Models Goals and Objectives Measures Audit and Reporting Cloud Perspectives, 2014 Page 3 of 10
4 Competencies Achieved: Upon completion of this workshop the student will be able to: Understand the service agreement contractual considerations Understand the specific service level agreement fit Understand how the metrics, SLAs lead to value focused actions Understand specific critical considerations using actual public cloud agreements Understand what might be negotiated Be in a position to manage risks appropriately in a transparent manner Exercises: Several case studies will be discussed and reviewed, involving your own scenarios, roles and situations to help drive your cloud SLA measurement initiative. The exercises will lead to a framework that will be of value to attendees to establish and influence Service Level Agreements. Of Interest to: Business Analysts, Procurement, Marketing, Management, Software Architects, Project/ Application Managers and Project/ Application Executives. Cloud Perspectives, 2014 Page 4 of 10
5 Cloud Models for Security and Privacy Duration: 1 day Purpose: Cloud Computing is accelerating fast. As such, the major immediate concerns and cautions are security and privacy. The workshop highlights these considerations for cloud computing in a business context. Several of the cloud computing communities have security and privacy at the forefront and have made significant advances to model cloud security in context with the cloud eco-system. The workshop will focus on National Institute of Standards for Technology (NIST) Cloud Computing reference and security architectures. Also covered will be other security practices from the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) under the United Nations, Cloud Standards Customer Council under the Object Management Group, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) and TM Forum. Real-life examples are used in conjunction with participant examples and scenarios to provide solutions and context for those exploring and/ or providing protected, secure cloud services. Topic Areas: Cloud Computing Overview NIST Conceptual Reference Model Other Industry Models and Updates Cloud Security Cloud Privacy Security and Privacy Cloud Standards Activities Agreements and Service Levels Security and Privacy Considerations Legal Considerations Geographic and Cultural Considerations The State of Cloud Security and Privacy Cloud Governance a Security and Privacy Perspective Workshop Activity Cloud Security Approaches Cloud Perspectives, 2014 Page 5 of 10
6 Competencies Achieved: Upon completion of this workshop the participant will be able to: Understand the cloud computing key fundamentals Understand how security and privacy fit into the cloud computing eco-systems Recognize how to utilize the enterprise architecture approaches to communicate and highlight security and privacy considerations Gain insight on where the cloud computing industry is today and where it s headed Understand how to manage cloud computing security and privacy risks Understand how to integrate security and privacy into Service and Service Level Agreements Understand the key cultural considerations for security and privacy Understand the how policies influence core cloud outcomes Have a better appreciation of how your organization s services, products and applications can fit into the cloud eco-system Understand how security and privacy considerations influence your core services and governance Exercises: Several case studies will be discussed and reviewed, involving a variety of roles, perspectives, and solutions to foster discussions. This interaction provides tremendous opportunities for networking and innovative insights. Of Interest to: Anyone wanting to gain a good perspective of security and privacy considerations in cloud computing. Whether you are a Cloud Consumer, Provider, Carrier, Auditor, Developer or Broker, this workshop will help to secure cloud computing solutions for a competitive advantage.
