1 English The course is delivered in four levels, so, that each student will attend the level adequate to his/her competence. Information Processing Techniques and Computer Skills The course aims to introduce the techniques of information processing; to develop the professional skills of computer utilization and accordingly to integrate informational and communicational technologies into students activities. Economics The course aims to introduce basic principles of micro and macroeconomics, so that students will be able to make analysis and evaluation of economic processes onmicro and macro levels. Students will also become acquainted with the market system and its functioning mechanisms. Business The course gives students opportunity to develop business planning skill, to estimate its importance and role in planning, implementation and financing. Principles of quantitative analysis The course aims to introduce the methods which are used for solving business and economical sums. On the first level of the course, students will use the basic methods and concepts of mathematical analysis; while on the second level they will be introduced to the mathematical apparatus of linear algebra. World Civilizations The course aims to introduce the origin, development and the role of ancient and modern civilizations as of cultural and historical phenomena. Business Laboratory The course is interactiveand is mostly based on practical assignments, which will be developed accordingly to the student interests and topics. The course will be taught throughout the whole bachelor program (4 years). Professional Processing of Data and Business Modeling on the Base of Electronic Spreadsheet Within the course, students will use electronic spreadsheets for data collection, organizing, classification, systematization, processing and analysis. They will get familiar with the methods, used to effectively model and manage the business.
2 Business Modeling and Analysis The course is oriented to develop skills of business modeling and analysis. Probability Theory and Statistics for Business The course is tailored for the students to be aware of probability-statistical methods necessary in the modern market system. Students will also develop skills to use these methods in real life cases and situations. Management The course aims at presenting modern organizational management principles and those main tools which are necessary for the successful company formation and management. Finances The course aims to introduce students to the importance of financial systems for the country's economic development and functioning of the companies. The course will also discuss the interest rates and characteristics; regulatory norms; corporate financial management; budgeting process and risk assessment models. Marketing The course aims at introducing contemporary marketing concepts and ideas, which will facilitate the business decision-making process for the students. During the course, students will develop practical skills of marketresearch management and implementation. Quantitive Methods of Financial Analysis The course aims at presenting financial analysis methods for different bank products; developing skills for quantitative analysis of financial rental, long-term loans; teaching comparative analysis of contracts in commercial practice. Students will gain the expertise of working at the modern financial markets. Business Innovations Students will use the gained knowledge from the course, in their everyday business activities. They will learn how innovative environment is changing in the modern world. Students will go through different examples from the experience of international business companies. Second foreign language Within the course students will learn second foreign language. The course will be taught throughout the bachelor program (4 years).
3 Projecting and Managing Databases The aim of the course is to teach students how to project, create and use databases and to develop relevant practical skills. Management Information Systems The course aims to demonstrate to students how to develop, use and implement management systems of organization s resources. Operation Research The course aims to introduce to students the methods that help improve decision-making process, using quantitative, mathematical techniques. Students will learn how to develop mathematical models, organize calculations and analyze variances using Excel. Marketing Research During the course students will develop practical skills to conduct and manage marketing research. Accounting and Reporting The course aims to introduce to students the concept of accounting and financial reporting. Students will learn how to do financial reporting and use the theoretical knowledge in practice. Students will also be introduced to the main principles of Georgian tax code, the concept of taxes, structure of their management and collection. Introduction to Psychology The course aims to introduce to students the main principles of psychology. The students will learn about human behavior, stages of social development, motivation, characteristics of social relationships and impact of cultural environment on establishment of behavioral patterns. Legal Foundations of Business The course aims to introduce to students basic legal norms of business regulation, in order to effectively plan and develop their business activities and calculate potential risks. Georgian as well as international legislation will be reviewed during the course.
4 Project Management, Project Design and Management System Using MS Project The course aims to teach students how to develop project goals, create and manage teams, formulate evaluation criteria, evaluate risks and reach outcomes. Students will learn how to use Microsoft Project the project management software to better plan, organize, manage and evaluate project resources. Practical Course in International Business and Export Management The course aims to transfer practical knowledge to students about export business. They will study the concepts such as letter of credit, bill of lading, forfeiting and other relevant concepts and issues. By reviewing real examples, students will understand how an export agreement and insurance work and how business in financed. Sales Management This is an introductory course in sales management. Students will learn about stages and methods of sales, negotiation technologies and sales strategies. Introduction to Sociology The course aims to introduce to students major concepts in sociology and transfer their theoretical knowledge to practice. Students will learn about social rules and processes that connect or disconnect people as members of social institutions. Leadership During the course students will develop skills and knowledge needed for effective leadership in an organization. Students will also learn about human resources management and organization behavior. Business Ethics The course aims to introduce to students ethical models in business management, in order to be able to make more ethical decisions in various situations, including conflicts. Integrated Marketing Communications The course aims to introduce to students instruments of integrated marketing communications, their importance and methods of use. Financial Markets and Institutions
5 The course aims to demonstrate to students characteristics of local as well as global financial markets. Students will learn about types of financial assets and their characteristics and principles and specifics of securities sales. Introduction to Philosophy The course aims at acquainting studetns with the principles of philosophic thinking,history and development of major philosophic schools, main tendencies and major aspects of philosophy, and broaden their world outlook. Investments The course aims at giving to students the knowledge on the specificities of securities investments, getting aquianted with the theory and practice of global financial portfolio management, necessity for the portfolio diversification and minimization of risks based on the correlation of assets. Branding The aim of the course is to provide studetns with the theoretical basis of the brand creation and develop practical skills for the brand design, construction and management. Final Project At the end of the seventh semester, each student, with the help of the program coordinator, selects a project supervisor, who will lead his final project during the eigths semester. The project topics vary from creating new organization, to improving working practice in an existing organization, optimization of business processes, introduction of new products, marketing research, investment appraisal, PR campaign, strategy for developing new or existingbrands. Elective Courses During the academic process studetns can take minimum four general subjects from other specialities within the Univerisity. Internship Obligatory practice internship during the second semester of the 4 th year Practice-Internship is included in the curriculum as an obligatory credited activity At this point students have covered almost the whole curriculum Classes are scheduled in the evenings, so students are able to do their internships in the daytime, from 10:00 to 18:00
6 During this semester students are mainly working on their final project and have only three classes (four lectures per week conducted from 19:00) After completing the internship, the student has to submit an internship report.
