Web source entries now require a publisher name, a date of publication, and page numbers. For online journals that appear only online (no print version) or on databases that do not provide pagination, write n. pag. for no pagination. However, in your parenthetical documentation you must still include paragraph number to make it easier for your reader to find your exact source of information. This requirement might not be used in the college you attend. Always check your college s requirements. Although the rule at Oakland Catholic is that you may not use a site that does not have a publisher or a date of publication, if your teacher permits you to use the source without that information, you would write N.p. for no publisher and n.d. for no date. Generally the Update date is acceptable as a date of publication.
6 6 URLS: While website entries will still include authors, article names, and website names, MLA no longer requires URLs. Writers are, however, encouraged to provide a URL if the citation information does not lead readers to easily find the source. Websites General Website [Author(if given). Title. Publication Date. Site Sponsor/Organization. Web. Access Date.] Library Bill of Rights. 23 January American Library Association. Web. 17 September A Web Page with an Author [Author. Title. Publication Date. Web.
