10 Animal Welfare farm Certification in Animal Protection Act (1) Animal Welfare Farm Certification in ACT Animal Protection Act(Article 29, Section 1) Animal welfare certification will be issued to an animal farm that breeds animals allowing them to express their normal behaviors. Animal Protection Enforcement Regulation(Article 29) Animals specified in the MIFAFF ordinance include cattle, pigs, chickens and other animals designated by QIA Commissioner. 12 Animal Welfare farm Certification in Animal Protection Act (3) Support by Government Animal Protection Act(Article 29, Section 3) The MIFAFF can provide the following support for animal welfare farms. - Improvement of farm facilities for better animal welfare - Guidance and training on the improvement of animal farm Environments and management Animal Protection Act(Article 29, Section 6) The MIFAFF, local governments, livestock industry associations and animal protection associations should utilize the cases of managing animal welfare farms as an educational or promotional resources.
13 Animal Welfare Certification in Animal Protection Act (4) Prohibition on illegal Activities Animal Protection Act(Article 29, Section 4) When certified in any unlawful or illegal way or not met by certification requirements, the certification will be cancelled. Animal Protection Act(Article 29, Section 5) Those decertified are not allowed to apply for certification within 1 year of the cancellation. 14 Animal Welfare Certification in Animal Protection Act (5) Identification Animal Protection Act(Article 33, Section 1) Identification of Animal welfare farm can be labeled on the packages or containers of livestock products from certified farms, suchasmeat,milkandeggs. Animal Protection Act(Article 33, Section 2) Animal welfare identification logo, the farmers name, certification number, livestock species, and farm location should be labeled together. Only if additionally certified as free range, this term can be used.

17 Certification Procedures (1) Application Submit the application document to the Animal Protection& Welfare Division, QIA Document Review Notification of the results to applicants within 30 days Farm Assessment Assessor and Animal protection Inspector visit farm to assess whether the farm comply with certification requirements, and report the assessment results.
18 Certification Procedures(2) Certification Referring to the final report, the QIA decides whether to issue the certification. - With no inappropriate item and a total score of over 80 points, the suitability decision will be made. Following up control QIA and local governments have to follow up certified farms. (More than once a year) - Identification and labeling check on sales and handling places for animal welfare livestock products(more than once a year)

20 Certification Standards for Animal Welfare Farm(2) General Standards (All Species) Responsibilities of a Manager knowledge about relevant laws and regulations regarding animal welfare and breeding methods Preventing unnecessary animal diseases and keeping animals in good status Attending regular training about animal(more than 4 hours per year) Providing information requested by QIA for certification review
