Agile Training Portfolio Why agile? The question can also be: Why learn fast? Why adapt to new experiences and learnings quickly and easily? Well, the Dodo was not very agile and we all know how that ended. Neither was Kodak, Borders books etc. etc. No one HAS to care about agile, but that is no great matter since they will be remnants of the past in short order, replaced by those that are indeed agile. The need to survive and thrive in an increasingly complex and changing world drives the need for organisational agility. That s why agile matters! With 80 years of combined experience and delegates trained, choose EOH Kaizania Academies to guide you in understanding and exploiting the agile and lean fundamentals, principles and frameworks needed to survive and thrive in this constantly changing world. Arrie van der Dussen and Lionel Bisschoff Co-founders and Directors of EOH Kaizania Academies
Agile Bootcamp Lean, Agile, Scrum and Kanban fundamentals and principles. An Agile project is radically different from a traditionally managed project and demands a new set of skills and abilities. Understand and experience Agile, Scrum and Kanban with EOH Kaizania Academies in an informative, engaging and enjoyable way the perfect way to start delivering value to your organization through Agile. The Agile Bootcamp course covers the fundamentals of Agile, Scrum and Kanban. This course is geared towards enabling teams and organizations to adopt an Agile approach to their projects. Agile Bootcamp has been designed to assist teams who want to implement or enhance their Agile implementation. All content and exercises are team based, therefore, a very good course for a whole team to attend as the course addresses team building around Agile content. DAY 1 DAY 2 Origins of Agile Waterfall vs Agile Lean principles and fundamentals Agile economics Key Agile Fundamentals Kanban for Software Development Scrum Roles, Ceremonies, Artefacts, Flow Agile Planning Agile Requirements Overview User Stories Agile Estimation Agile reporting and metrics R ex VAT per delegates 2 days Attendance certificate
Agile Executive Taking corporate organizations built for efficiency and rewiring them for creativity and growth. How can organizations survive and thrive in our globalised, internet speed world where revolution is the norm? Innovation over the last 20 years was about technology and its application in order to reduce cost. Today, it s about taking corporate organizations built for efficiency and rewiring them for creativity and growth. This 1 day session provides executives with the organizational and management tools needed to lead their organizations to inventive success. The New Innovation game Three eras of work Lean, Agile and the Flexible Production era How a project mentality of innovation loses organizations Rbillions Economics of the Innovation game Take an economic view Actively Manage Queues Exploit Variability Reduce Batch Size Apply WIP Constraints Control Flow: Cadence and Synchronization Apply Fast Feedback Decentralize Control R ex VAT per delegates Playing the game Effectively managing innovation Risk Venture capital project approach Kanban Scrum Lean Scaling and Governing the game Self organization and teams Organizational structure from bureau cratic to functional to matrix to units of innovation Decentralised decision making and innovative excellence Applied game theory in organizations 1 days
Agile Project Management Maximise your organization s inventive capability and capacity through Lean Agile leadership and a focus on continuous improvement Software development is repeated invention. The Agile Project Manager s role is to maximise their organization s inventive capability and capacity through Lean Agile leadership and a relentless focus on continuous improvement. This covers aspects as diverse as: Establishing and leading an Agile development process Effectively exposing and negating project risk Establishing and nurturing trust and transparency Establishing and nurturing self-organizing, multi-skilled teams Establishing simple, true, dynamic project status reporting Drive the adoption of Lean thinking across project delivery teams Drive the adoption of continuous learning Understand the role of the Agile Project Manager Understand and lead continuous planning and execution Understand and effectively use Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) matching the technique to the work Facilitating continuous improvement through Agile facilitation, reviews and retrospectives R ex VAT per delegates 2 days Attendance certificate
Agile Requirements Management Foster collaboration, shared risk and learning through Agile requirements management techniques. The traditional requirements management process used in waterfall development is wholly inappropriate for Agile development. Waterfall methods focusing on extensive upfront requirement documents and rigid change control processes established to effect change in these documents often lead to projects failing, since adapting to new learning is made difficult, resulting in the customer not being satisfied at all with the end product and its delivery date. By moving detailed requirements gathering closer to implementation, Agile requirement techniques enable: Fast and simple adaptation due to new learning Easy adaptation to changing business needs Removing misunderstanding of requirements Producing only what is needed now the right product at the right time at the right price Ensuring existing functionality is not broken by new releases Increasing and retaining organizational knowledge Knowledge and skill in agile requirements management is the basis for delivering business value to customers on agile projects Learn how to foster collaboration, shared risk and learning through Agile requirements management techniques Understand what good user stories are and how and when to write them Learn how to plan and do agile analysis on three levels; Product, Release and Iteration Understand the value of a Vision, Goals, Features and Stories Understand how to create a requirements-driven product roadmap Understand how to deliver a requirements-driven release plan Dependency analysis and management Learn how to break large stories down into simple, small stories R ex VAT per delegates 2 days
