Method: For that purpose, this research aims to select relevant articles on the subject and identify characteristics in those publications that have the potential to scientifically contribute on the topic of interest. The research is characterized as exploratory-descriptive and it has the Knowledge Development Process - Constructivist (Proknow-C) as its theoretical intervention instrument. Results: It was found a bank of 3,028 gross articles during knowledge construction process. This allowed the researchers to find: (i) portfolio with 16 more articles aligned with the theme of research and scientifically recognized; (ii) which authors are researching the theme; (iii) which leading journals publishing articles that are aligned to the theme; (iv) which keywords are the most used. Conclusion: Based on the researcher's world view, the use of Proknow-C increases the possibility of understanding of the knowledge construction process on the topic searched. Keywords: Evaluation, ergonomics, musculoskeletal, industry, poultry processing. 1. Introduction Organizational factors show the shortcomings of management practices to deal with the growing increase in repetitive strain injuries in the process of poultry production (Shaw et al., 2006; Grzywacz et al., 2007). Poultry industry companies provide, to workers, limited training on security purposes and effects of the pace of work on them, so that many do not understand how their activities in the production line are related to the musculoskeletal injuries they acquire (Marin et al., 2009). Mohamed et al. (2003), mentions the importance of more focus on management measures that can align the strategic focus on security for the entire organization and Kaminski (2001), points out that the significant negative relationship between capital intensity and injury rates suggests the relationship between risk controls and injuries. There was an investment in plants to decrease the amount of hand movement, however, there still are processes, such as cutting meat (boning sector), which require the human hand to apply the required product quality. The pace imposed by production line prevents that workers have their own regulation, irrespective of turnover and pauses for recovery (Christensen et al., 2000). The aim of this study was to select, in the international literature, a set of articles aligned to the subject and to scientific recognition, and highlight features that may contribute scientifically to the theme Assessment Repetitive Strain Injury: Focus on Refrigerated Poultry industry in those publications. 2. Materials and Methods 2.1 Methodological framework Regarding its nature, the research is classified as theoretical and illustrative, because it presents a process to search for the literature and also to carry out these publications analysis (Bortoluzzi et al., 2011). The research, as to the problem approach, is considered as qualitative and quantitative. As qualitative to the developed process for the construction of bibliographic portfolio through articles and references; and as quantitative because of bibliometrics carried out in the research by counting the investigated variables (Richardson, 2008). 1
As for the intervention instrument, the bibliographic review process used is called Knowledge Development Process Construtivist (ProKnow-C) proposed by Ensslin et al. (2012), that, under the constructivist perspective, presents a structured process to build, on the researcher, the necessary knowledge to start the search on the topic he needs to investigate. 2.2 Intervention Instrument For this study, the intervention instrument (Figure-1) used was proposed by Ensslin and Ensslin (2007), and by Ensslin et al. (2010). Conceived in the Multicriteria Methodologies in Support to Decision Laboratory (LabMCDA), under the Department of Production Systems Engineering, Federal University of Santa Catarina, since The process consists of four steps: (1) selection of an articles portfolio on the research subject; (2) portfolio bibliometric analysis; (3) systemic analysis; and (4) defining the research question and research objective. For purposes of this research, two steps of the process were developed: (1) a selection of an articles portfolio on the research topic and (2) bibliometric analysis of the portfolio. Therefore, part of the necessary knowledge about the topic searched was constructed (Ensslin et al., 2012; Della Bruna et al., 2012; Rosa et al., 2012, Afonso et al., 2012;. Lacerda et al., 2012; Bortoluzzi et al., 2011; Lacerda et al., 2011; Rosa et al., 2011; Azevedo et al., 2011; Tasca et al., 2010). Figure-2, that follows, shows the steps of selecting the Bibliographic Portfolio and Bibliometrics used in the Proknow-C and implemented in this article. Figure 1: Intervention instrument - Proknow-C. Source: Ensslin et al., Results and discussion 3.1 Selection of Bibliographic Portfolio (BP) To start this phase, three strands of research that represent the perception of the researchers on the topic have been created. Each axis has a set of words that represents each one, the axes are: "Performance Evaluation"; "Ergonomics" and "Industry". Thus, the axes allow the researcher to direct the construction of the necessary knowledge about their context, ensuring the presence of the axes content in the search. The search happened in seven databases in international journals in the areas of Engineering III and Health Sciences ranked by the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). The searches occurred through a combination of the following keywords: (i) performance, (ii) measurement, (iii) evaluation, (iv) appraisal, (v) management (vi) assessment, (vii) injuries and (viii) industry between the years 2000 and
There were 3,028 published scientific articles in international journals, which were exported to Endnote X5 software duplicate articles were excluded. After the exclusion, the reading of these articles titles was carried on in order to conclude that 422 articles were aligned with the research theme. The next step consisted in reading the summaries and it was considered that 56 items were aligned to the subject of the research, and subsequently, the entire articles that were available in the databases were read, totaling 51 articles. Among these, 16 were considered aligned to research, compose the BP and will be used in bibliometric analysis. 3.2 Bibliometric Analysis The purpose of this subsection is to perform a quantitative survey in articles and references in order to try to analyze the following aspects: (i) relevance of periodicals; (ii) relevance of the articles; (iii) the most prominent authors and (iv) most used keywords. The graph 1 shows the journals that were more relevant in the articles present in the BP on the research theme. Graph 1: Participation of journals in bibliographic portfolio The next analysis concerns the scientific recognition of each article in the BP, which was identified by means of google scholar, the number of times the article was quoted by other papers. The most prominent article in the bibliographic portfolio was "Scorecard approach to benchmarking organizational safety culture in construction (2003)" with 87 quotes in google scholar (Graph 2). Graph 2: Relevance of the articles of bibliographic portfolio 3
Graph 3 shows the authors of scientific literature with greater participation in portfolio items. The authors Joseph G. Grzywacz, Thomas A. Arcury, Antonio Marín, Lourdes Carrillo, Michael L. Coates and Sara A. Quandt were the most cited in the references with 5 citations each. Graph 3: Authors with greater participation in the bibliographic portfolio The next aspect to be analyzed regarding the bibliographic portfolio is related to the most used keywords (graph 4). The analysis performed to identify the most used keywords in the articles of the bibliographic portfolio. 72 keywords were identified, and the most used keywords, musculoskeletal disorder and occupational injury. Graph 4: Most used keywords in the bibliographic portfolio 4
4. Conclusion To achieve the proposed objectives the process Proknow-C was used as an instrument of action to seek and identify articles with scientific recognition that could contribute to the theme evaluation RSI focused on poultry meat industry was used in the international literature. It was possible to construct a set of articles with BP aligned with the research theme. The development of this portfolio emerged from the bank selection of raw items with 3,028 initial papers and filtering database of articles which allowed the result of 16 articles more aligned to the research topic. With 16 articles that comprise the bibliographic portfolio, a bibliometric analysis was carried out and it was possible for researchers to know: (i) a portfolio of scientific recognized articles aligned with the research topic; (ii) which authors have been researching on the topic; (iii) what are the leading journals publishing articles that are aligned to the theme; and (iv) which keywords have been most used. Acknowledgements I would like to thank the Federal University of Pampa-UNIPAMPA and the Post Graduate Program in Production Engineering (PPGEP-CTC) of the Federal University of Santa Catarina-UFSC for their support for this study.
