Onboard multi protocol analysis including full frames decoding Internet applications with specific tests for PPP/IP and Frame Relay The integration of new features, gives to D2000 PRO the possibility to expand its working capability allowing to carry out tests over a wide range of applications including Datacom and WAN networks in order to verify SHDSL, HDSL and the Internet cloud. All these points make the D2000 PRO a complete multi-interface tester and analyzer. Includes PC108 for Windows software for powerful analysis and remote management Memory expansion through standard MultiMediaCard The D2000 PRO offers a graphic interface with common characteristics to the whole new generation test equipments family made by Aethra so, it is possible to use the entire equipments range as the navigation procedures through the various menu remain unchanged. All the information necessary to verify the line status and the possible presence of troubles on the line, is within a button s reach, thanks to the immediate access to Smart Status feature. The access to such a feature is always available also during the carrying out of a test, allowing so to have always under control monitoring over layer 1, 2 and 3, alarms, errors, channels configurations and the test in progress modes, as well as the device status itself. 2 INTERFACES Thanks to D2000 PRO s capability of working on a wide series of interfaces with the same simplicity, immediacy and processing capability, it can be considered as one of the most versatile device existing on the market. Besides the most commonly used accesses such as Basic Rate, Primary Rate and POTS, the measures may be carried out also over leased circuits WAN/datacom 3 thanks to VX2000 adapter. The onboard decoding allows to analyze traces directly at the user s site. The advanced analysis through the PC software 1 issued with the device, helps to solve also more complex problems regarding ISDN connections or user s Internet settings. The feature is available both as high impedance monitor and simulator. If necessary, data may be saved into a normal MultiMediaCard, expanding the internal memory. 3 MAKE A CALL Using the multi-functional Make a Call test, it is possible to verify the correct operation of the several supplementary services supplied by provider, such as AOC, CF, CLI, 3PTY and all the other common ones. People working with PABX will find very useful the possibility to generate more calls simultaneously with several numbers and profiles; making the PABXs setting up faster and very functional. In order to solve the problems concerning data connection such as video-conferencing, the test makes available the round trip delay of B channel in milliseconds. Integrated microphone and loudspeaker, allow to use the device also as a normal ISDN or POTS 5 telephone. ETSI supplementary services check and support B channel round trip delay Multiple profiles (Speech, Data, Fax,..) Up to 30 active calls 4 B channel connected to incorporated micro phone and loudspeaker o external handset or V.11 interface ISDN and POTS 5 simulation X.25/X.31 D2000 PRO is able to perform an X.25/X.31 connection over D channel and verify the quality of the line. Now the test allows to simulate an X.25 traffic generation also over B channel, using programmable data packets with variable length. Statistic Data help to check out the real band of the connection and possible net congestion problems. Through the software provided 1, it is possible to send pre-configured packets directly from the personal computer. The first, IP PING, allows to check the connection to the Internet Provider, the reachability of a remote host and the relative response times. Moreover, all the information coming from the server are provided such as messages and local, remote and server IP addresses. This allows to check out the correct connection settings of the user. The second test, IP GENERATE TRAFFIC, allows to simulate a data transfer between hosts. This test, more exhaustive than IP PING, is able to measure the throughput of the connection in progress. 4 FRAME RELAY Through a specific option, D2000 PRO may be used for commissioning and maintaining Frame Relay services. The test can be carried out over E1, G.703 and V/X interfaces. Turn-up test for verification of link connectivity and configuration IPPing test QoS statistics GENERATE TRAFFIC This traffic simulation permits to verify the call management capabilities on behalf of the user system (PABX) or of the net. The load simulated, may be programmed by quantity of calls to perform and duration time. Up to 999 failure cycles are stored reporting causes and times. If not otherwise specified, the device generates automatically a series of calls toward a remote user or in autocall mode and verifies the complete status of the line both for BRI and PRI. With the possibility to set up and save a personalized test sequence, the control of several line typologies is easier and more immediate. The technician can set such feature in order to filter acceptable incoming calls, performing a loop over data or a call back toward the calling user. The forward capability and the possibility to answer manually the incoming calls, enlarge the using potentialities of such feature in verification and stressing tests of the user s systems.
