Phase 2 of the project (to be scheduled later in 2014) will include the physician structured reporting. Mammography Reporting System (MRS) MRS went live on May 7 at The West Clinic Breast Center and Mid-Town Diagnostic Center. MRS is a widely used tracking and reporting system for all breast-related procedures, including mammography, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear imaging. Ambulatory Project Update Cerner One Chart Ambulatory is live and helps clinicians manage the increasing number of very complex patients with multiple needs and extensive histories. Should these patients require hospital care in the future, all of their medical information will be available at the click of a button.

2 PAGE 2 Cerner One Chart Ambulatory EMR: More than just clinical data. Cerner OneChart links together all documentation tasks, including scheduling and registration, clinical charting, computerized provider order entry (CPOE), e-prescribing and charge capture. Ambulatory patients will have the opportunity to sign up for the interactive portal OneChart, where they can access health information, request appointments, communicate with providers, retrieve test results and request prescription refills/renewals. Cerner OneChart will also help our Eligible Providers achieve Meaningful Use Stage 1. Cerner Patient Portal Available through mymethodist and mylebonheur Patients can now access the Cerner portal through mymethodist and mylebonheur. Completed go lives: Fayette Hospital - September 10, 2013 Olive Branch Hospital - September 17, 2013 North Hospital - October 15, 2013 South Hospital - November 15, 2013 University Hospital - January 28, 2014 Germantown - March 11, 2014 Le Bonheur Hospital - March 18, 2014 The Cerner Patient Portal is now available to patients whose physicians begin using Cerner Ambulatory on April 14, These patients can access their office visit information using the same username and login as they established for hospital visits. Patients also have access to previous hospital encounters as well as current encounters. Currently, patients between the ages of thirteen and seventeen are not being offered the Patient Portal. This is under review and more information will be provided in the next MEC Report. Infection Surveillance and Prevention (TheraDoc TM ) The TheraDoc TM project will kick off on May 28. The TheraDoc TM system is designed to assist in preventing HAIs and to support antimicrobial stewardship.

3 PAGE 3 The expected benefits include: Reduce time to HAI confirmation and time-to-isolation Track organism resistance by hospital, location, or source Find data, evaluate, document and report all in real-time Spot trends that could be missed manually Speed up interventions to keep patients safer Simplify reporting and compliance TheraDoc also includes a comprehensive set of surveillance tools to help pharmacists: Identify targeted clinical intervention opportunities Track performance with departmental reports Identify opportunities to optimize drug therapy in real-time

4 PAGE 4 Appendix 1 Orders Update for March and April 2014 Orders Changes A new Adult Diabetic diet order, Consistent Carbohydrate Diet, replaced the ADA diet orders. This order was also updated in all Caresets and PowerPlans. There will be specific details required which allow for accurate meal planning related to insulin and renal disease. ADA still exists as a synonym for the Consistent Carbohydrate Diet. The American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Manual and the American Diabetes Association state that Consistent Carbohydrate Diet is the correct term and in accordance with the Nutrition Care Manual approved by MLH s Medical Staff. If ADA is entered, Consistent Carbohydrate Diet will populate as the diet order. This diet order is structured to assure patients receive the correct Consistent Carbohydrate Diet dependent upon their insulin regimen- Consistent Carbohydrate with a snack or Consistent Carbohydrate without a snack. Some of the Physician Experience (PE) users (Physician Customization project with Cerner) will see changes to their Quick Orders page. New collapsed sections for the Ambulatory Clinics were added (for example, Lab AMB). If you do not work at one of the clinics you will not have orders in these folders and can keep them collapsed at the bottom of the screen. A new bed type choice of Critical Care was added to the Patient Status Initial Outpatient order. Order Rule Update If the Patient Status Inpatient Order (Admit) has been routed to Message Center for cosign and the physician rejects the order, the alert will still fire to require cosign when the Discharge Patient Order is placed.
