4 Solutions: Work on bringing the concept of BCP into community disaster prevention and reduction activities, and make SMEs as part of our social participation mechanism of disaster prevention and reduction Enforce publication and education of knowledge about BCP for a long term, and make BCP application as a regular practice for the entire business, especially for SMEs

8 Feedback: suggestions Raise both government officials and SMEs owners awareness of BCP (demand side) roundly describe the severity of natural disasters to business, such as calculating the business lossess caused by natural disasters there should be some advanced experience introduction, and theoretical or methodological research outcomes about BCP Action 2013/6/11 Plan to Promote BCPs in China

9 Improve supporting environment to encourage SMEs to use BCP (Supply side) Promote disaster reduction industry development, such as disaster insuance, disaster management consulting, and so on Supply fiscal subsidies to SMEs post disaster reconstruction through National Technology Reform Program, and SEMs Development Program

10 Part 3 Refined Action Plan To raise awareness of BCP before conducting a workshop or seminar about BCP in China, finance academic institutions to introduce advanced experience of the abroad and to tell the stories of best practice SMEs that use BCP to cope crisis and to accelerate development embed BCP publicity campaign in comprehensive disaster reduction based on community program (CDRBC) 10

11 Refined Action Plan (Cont. 1) To accelerate disaster reduction industry development develop disaster management consulting services, such as risk management, development strategy, BCM training, and so on develop disaster insurance programs increase demand for disaster reduction products by improving legislation and safe codes in some special fields such as coal mine, schools, hospitals Action 2013/6/11 Plan to Promote BCPs in China
