1 CURRENT POSITION OPENINGS 1/09/2015 POSITION: Recruitment Specialist Neighborhood Center QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s Degree from an accredited university in the human services field. Familiar with and experienced in foster care, kinship care and adoption; public relations and marketing experience helpful. Knowledge of communities served by CVCA and of foster care, kinship care and adoption. Innovation and creativity in the development of ideas and methods to recruit resource families; good organizational ability; Knowledge of working with media; radio, newspaper, cable television, and other methods of marketing to the general public. Ability to express self well; energize audiences; and influence participants during formal speaking presentations; Culturally sensitive and experience in working with different ethnic and cultural groups; possess the ability to work independently, yet flexible in working the Foster Care staff toward the achievement of the CVCA mission regarding children and families. DESCRIPTION: To develop a relationship within the communities served by CVCA in order to empower families, identify resources, attract and retain resource families. POSITION: Education Support Staff QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s Degree with teacher qualification is preferred, but not required OR a two (2) years of college in the education field or a High School Diploma with three (3) years experience working in education related field. DESCRIPTION: An Education Support Staff provides support to the classroom teacher and facilitates pupil instruction. The Education Support Staff provides necessary instruction, training, services and individual attention to pupils. The assistant is monitored by the teacher in charge of the class, who, with their supervisor, reviews the work through observation and conferences. POSITION: Youth Care Worker Group Home Neighborhood Center QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s or Associates Degree in Human Service and two (2) years of experience with at risk youth in a child welfare, education or behavioral health setting OR High School graduate and four (4) years of experience working with at risk youth and their families will be considered. DESCRIPTION: the Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing supervision of the Group Home Site and the youth placed at that site during his/her shift. In addition, the Youth Care Worker is also responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of activities and services which increase and enhance each assigned youth s life, social and emotional skills.

2 POSITION: Site Director Sankofa OST Neighborhood Center QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s Degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services and related field and two (2) years experience working with children in an academic, recreation, child care or clinical setting or Associate s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education or Human Services with four (4) years experience with children and/or two years experience in youth programming and coordination. DESCRIPTION: The Site Director is responsible for daily operation and management of Out of School Time programs including After-School Program and Summer Program. The Site Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of program activities which are culturally competent, increase self-esteem, and improve school attendance and performance of the youth served. The Site Director is responsible for assuring compliance with licensing and regulatory agencies, and for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with the leadership of the host school site. POSITION: Residential Director QUALIFICATIONS: Master s degree and at least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in the area of children and youth residential management including knowledge of 3800 regulations, CBH, DHS, and Magellan standards and requirements. DESCRIPTION: The Residential Director oversees the development and management of the comprehensive residential program on the Flourtown Campus. Utilizing competency-based development to directly supervise residential operations, the Cottage Life Director supports the holistic treatment of residents. POSITION: Teacher- Mathematics Secondary Education QUALIFICATIONS: Pennsylvania teaching certification in appropriate field; Bachelor s Degree required; Related teaching experience preferred; a valid driver s license DESCRIPTION: The teacher provides support by supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction; collaborating with other teachers; other professional staff; and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to issues from students, parents, or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress. Associates degree or additional post-high school training preferred in education, training, or other business curriculum. DESCRIPTION: The Training Assistant will coordinate with all function related to the training department in data; participate in training including CPR/First Aid, HIPPA, and Safe and Positive Approaches as needed; preparation of developing training curriculum as needed; Assist with scheduling training sessions and notifying relevant parties; notify trainees in a timely manner

3 when trainings are canceled or rescheduled; distribute course evaluation questionnaires following training and compile and communicate feedback to the Training Coordinator. System s approach and desire to work with families is strongly preferred. DESCRIPTION: The Family Support Worker will work with families in FFSBS and various home-based counseling programs. Work with community resources in a systemic approach to working with families. POSITION: Assistant Director of Community Homes STATUS: Full Time QUALIFICATIONS: Master s level human services professional with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience in child welfare, education or behavioral health. DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Director of Community Homes assists the Lead Assistant Director of Community Homes in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Community Homes Program. The Assistant Director is responsible for the safety, supervision and physical needs of up to six assigned Community Home sites and participates in the hiring, supervising and training of program team members; directly responsible for intake of Community Homes youth.; assist program team members in the development, implementation and monitoring of treatment plans which meet the needs of the population served; to assure continuous program quality, and compliance with regulatory and licensing agencies. In cooperation with other program team members, and is responsible for the development of new and the revision of existing polices and procedures. POSITION: Professional Parent Three (3) positions STATUS: Full Time QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree preferred or High School Diploma required with at least two (2) years experience with high risk youth considered. This is a live-in position. A driver s license is not required.

5 DESCRIPTION: The Professional Parent is responsible for the care, supervision and in home treatment of the three (3) to four (4) youths placed in the Community Home for which the parent is responsible. The Professional Parent is also responsible for maintaining a clean, safe living environment which is conducive for the growth and development of the young people served and meets all state, local and agency requirements for health and safety. The professional parent coordinates and monitor the daily activities of the youth; provides daily counseling, skill teaching and positive reinforcement to each youth; follows designated procedures for critical incident reporting; encourages and support each youth s contacts and relationship with members of his/her natural family. POSITION: Parent Supervisor STATUS: Full Time QUALIFICATIONS: Master s Degree in Social Work OR related Field AND one (1) year experience or Bachelor s Degree in Social Work and Two (2) years experience. DESCRIPTION: The Parent Supervisor is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of effective treatment and discharge plans for designated youths. Responsible for the physical well being and successful program completion for assigned youths; the Parent Supervisor also works with the natural and Treatment Parents, to ensure the implementation of the treatment and Family Service Plan. A Valid Driver s License is required and proof of care insurance, daily access to a vehicle; must have good organization skills; knowledge of case management and trauma theory is also desirable. POSITION: Assistant Group Supervisor STATUS: Part Time QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience with children in youth programming preferred. DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Group Supervisor is responsible for providing academic, recreational, and service activities as directed by the OST Site Director. The Assistant Group leader assist in the implementation of daily activities under the guidance of the Site Director and the Group Supervisor; directs youth to scheduled activities; ensures that you are engaged in activities at all times; provides activities such as homework help; arts and crafts, sports, and project based learning projects; provides feedback to the Site Director on the status and quality of contracted activities. Position: Therapist Fee-for Service - Out-Patient Mental Health Services STATUS; Fee-for- Services QUALIFICATIONS: Master s Degree from accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline. Degree must include at least 12 credit hours of coursework in the foundations of behavioral health and the provision of mental health services. DESCRIPTION: The Therapist provides child-centered, family-focused individual and group psychotherapy with CVCA s Outpatient Mental Health Services Department. The Therapist is also responsible for creatively building client base, engaging the child and family, addressing defined problems, as specified in the treatment plan and utilizing strength based approaches to treatment. The Therapist will conduct intake sessions; administer screening tools; conduct child centered case consultation; design behavioral interventions in collaboration with the treatment team, education team and treatment tea; provide group, individual, and crisis intervention

6 services; identify service linkages and oversee coordination of services; implement components of behavior modification developed in conjunction with the treatment team; maintain record keeping and documentation procedures, including Progress Notes, Progress summaries on assigned cases according to program policies, procedures and regulatory criteria; participates in bi-weekly supervision. POSITION: Youth Care Worker-Group Home LOCATION: Norristown Neighborhood Center STATUS: Full Time; Part-Time; and Relief QUALIFICATIONS: A High School Diploma or a GED (General Educational Development)certificate and two (2) years experience working with children. DESCRIPTION: The Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing supervision of the Group Home Site and the youth placed at that site during his/her shift. POSITION: Therapeutic Support Services (BHS) and Behavioral Health Worker (STS) LOCATION: Behavioral Health Services, STS Services, and Norristown Neighborhood Centers STATUS: Fee-For-Service QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s Degree in one of the following human services disciplines: Sociology, psychology, criminal justice, education, or other Human Service field, is preferred. If one of the above degrees is held, no work experience is required. Other Bachelor s degrees or a Registered Nurse require one (1) year, full time paid work experience with children and adolescents. An Associate s Degree or 60 college credits requires a minimum of three (3) years paid work experience with children. Must have a valid driver s license. Must have experience with BHRS, Magellan, CBH and familiarity with Montgomery County or Philadelphia County. DESCRIPTION: The TSS Clinician is responsible for providing therapeutic support and direction to an assigned youth. The TSS Clinician is also responsible for the implementation of specific aspects of the youth s treatment plan. The Clinician is additionally responsible for teaching and reinforcing pro-social, adaptive skills. TSS Clinicians provide services in the youth s school, home and/or other community settings. POSITION: Mobile Therapy (BHS) and Group Therapist (STS) LOCATION: Behavioral Health Services, STS Services, and Norristown Neighborhood Centers STATUS: Fee-For-Service QUALIFICATIONS: Master s Degree in a mental health field with at least one (1) year of post Master s Degree experience in a child and adolescent mental health or chemical dependency setting, child welfare or juvenile justice setting or educational setting. It is preferable that the Mobile Therapist be a licensed mental health professional. Must have a valid driver s license. Must have experience with BHRS, Magellan or CBH and familiarity with Montgomery County or Philadelphia County. DESCRIPTION: The Mobile Therapist provides child centered, family focused psychotherapy in a setting other than the therapist s or agency s office. The Mobile Therapist is also responsible for addressing defined problems, as specified in the treatment plan, utilizing a strength-based approach to treatment. The Mobile Therapist generally serves as the lead clinician and takes a leadership role in the development and implementation of the youth s treatment plan. 7 POSITION: Behavioral Specialist (BHS)/Lead Clinician (STS) LOCATION: Behavioral Health Services, STS Services, and Norristown Neighborhood Centers STATUS: Fee-For-Service QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral level licensed psychologist or Masters in a Mental Health discipline (MSW, Counseling, and/or Psychology) In order for a degree to count as a mental health degree, the degree must contain at least 12 credit hours in core behavioral coursework (i.e. individual, group and family therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, psychopathology, child development, personality theory, etc.) and at least three (3) years experience (2 years must be post Master s Degree) providing treatment in a child and adolescent Mental Health, child welfare, educational or juvenile justice setting is also required. Must possess specific training in behavior modification, preferably graduate level courses and have some experience applying behavior modification techniques. DESCRIPTION: The Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC) designs and directs the implementation of a behavior plan which is individualized to meet the youth s mental health needs in accordance with the youth s treatment plan. The BSC provides instruction to other treatment team members regarding roles and responsibilities in the implementation of the behavior plan. Contractor Opportunities CONTRACTED POSITION: Licensed Psychiatrist LOCATION: Flourtown STATUS; Independent Contractor QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral level licensed psychiatry; current and valid Pennsylvania license in good standing; At least two (2) years verified experience providing mental health treatment; Valid Child Abuse (Act 33), Criminal History and FBI Clearances; ongoing in services training. DESCRIPTION: The CVCA is looking for a licensed Psychiatrist to prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders; analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose nature or extent of mental disorder; collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professional to discuss treatment plans and progress; counsel outpatients or other patients during office visits; advise or inform guardians, relatives, or significant others of patients conditions or treatment. CONTRACTED POSITION: Licensed Psychologist (2) Full Time Positions LOCATION: Behavioral Health Services, STS Services, and Norristown Neighborhood Centers STATUS; Independent Contractor QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Psychology or related field or Psy.D; Current and valid Pennsylvania Psychology license in good standing; at least two (2) years verified experience providing mental health treatment to children, adolescents, families and/or adults; experiencing in conducting and writing CBE s and CBR s; Valid Child Abuse, Criminal History and FBI Clearances; experience with DSM-IV diagnosis and evidence based treatment recommendations and DSM-V requirements; experience working with diverse populations and understanding the importance of cultural competence and cultural relevance. DESCRIPTION: The CVCA Behavioral Health Services is looking for a licensed psychologist to conduct comprehensive Bio-psychosocial evaluations (CBE s) and comprehensive Biopsychosocial Re-evaluations (CBR s) for our behavioral health rehabilitation services (BHRS) and school therapeutic services (STS) programs.
