SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES for SENIORS: "Fuel Your Dreams" Scholarship Provided By: 24 Seven Nutrition Website: Description: The "Fuel Your Dreams" Scholarship is available to high school and college students who are legal residents of the U.S. To be considered you must describe, in 250 words or less, how $1,000 will help you accomplish your dream. Philanthro Scholarship Provided By: Philanthro Productions Type of Award: Other Website: Description: The Philanthro Scholarship is available to high school seniors and undergraduate students. You must demonstrate success in academics, community involvement, and organization leadership to be considered for this award. College Prowler $2,000 No Essay Scholarship Provided By: College Prowler Type of Award: Promotion Amount: $2000 Website: Description: We know you are busy and we know that times are tough. That is why we decided to create the easiest possible scholarship to give something back to students. Students can use the money to help cover tuition, housing, meal plans, books, computers, or any education-related expenses. The scholarship is open to all high school and college students and those planning to enroll in the next 12 months. CAT (Choose Appalachian Teaching) Scholarship Program WHO: High school seniors who plan to become middle school or high school math or science teachers and who will be attending one of the following colleges: Ohio University, Marietta College, Muskingum University, Shawnee State University or the University of Rio Grande. 2 Clermont County Agricultural Society Ceil Bee Scholarship WHO: High school seniors who are Clermont County residents, have been members of either 4-H, FFA, American Heritage Girls, or Scouts for 4 years, will participate in this year s fair, and will attend a 2 or 4 year college next year WHAT: One $500 non-renewable scholarship DEADLINE: June 1, 2011 APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE: In the Guidance Office or from Mrs. Cooper Big Dig Scholarship Provided By: Antique Trade Deadline: June 1, 2011 Amount: $3000 Website: Description: The Big Dig Scholarship is available to high school seniors and college freshmen and sophomores. To be considered, you must submit an essay between 500 and 1000 words that addresses the following issue: "In 200 years, one of your relatives is going to be digging in what is now your backyard. They are going to find something that you buried in 2011 and it is going to put any financial worries they have to rest. Your job today is to decide what to bury. Your goal is to find something that will have immense value in the future." Ryan and Jamie Smith Essay Contest Provided By: The Smith Companies Deadline: June 15, 2011 Type of Award: Essay Contest Amount: $5000 Website: Description: The Ryan and Jamie Smith Essay Contest is available to students who are at least 18 years old and enrolled in an accredited educational institution. To enter, you must submit an essay of less than 1000 words answering the following question: "Do you think it is possible to end extreme poverty in the next 30 years? If so, how?" ICBC Lawyers Scholarship Provided By: ICBC Lawyers Deadline: June 15, 2011 Website: Description: The ICBC Lawyers Scholarship is available to students in the U.S. and Canada who are between the ages of 17 and 21. You must answer two essay questions to be considered for this award. BigSun Scholarship Program WHO: High school seniors who are student athletes in any sport who have been accepted and will attend college beginning in the fall of 2011 no minimum GPA required. WHAT: One $500 scholarship DEADLINE: June 23, 2011 APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE: Online at "From Failure to Promise" Essay Contest Provided By: Dr. C Moorer and Associates Type of Award: Essay Contest Amount: $1500 Awards Available: 3 Website: Description: The "From Failure to Promise" Essay Contest is open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. To be considered, you must submit a word essay that addresses the following questions: "How has the book, From Failure to Promise: An Uncommon Path to Professoriate, positively impacted your pursuit of success and promise? What is your commitment to improving the lives of global citizens once you ve reached your destined promise?" Selection will be based on originality, quality of research, and effectiveness of presentation.

You must be a US citizen and a high school student, GED recipient, or current college student to be eligible for this award. Selection is also based on a demonstrated strong record of extracurricular, leadership and / or volunteer activities. BBG Communications Scholarship Provided By: Breylan Communications Website: Description: The BBG Communications Scholarship is available to students between the ages of 16 and 21 who are currently in or will be attending an institution of higher education in the Fall of You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award. Two essays are also required. Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship Provided By: Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship Program Deadline: July 31, 2011 Website: Description: The Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship is open to ninth through twelfth grade high school students, college students, and graduate students who are legal U.S. residents. Students not currently in school must plan to enroll in a higher education program within 12 months. You must submit a word personal statement to be considered for this award. The award may be used for tuition, room and board, books, or any related educational expense. Carleshia Scholars Scholarship Provided By: Carleshia Thornton Studios Deadline: August 17, 2011 Amount: $500 Awards Available: 3 Website: Description: The Carleshia Scholars Scholarship is available to full - time high school and college students who are at least 18 years of age. Preference is given to students with a minimum 2.0 GPA. You must subscribe to the Carleshia Scholars Youtube channel, podcast, and blog and actively engage in all posts, questions, and posted activities to be considered for this award. You must also submit a word essay. AES Engineers Scholarship WHO: High school seniors who have demonstrated good character and submit the required essay GPA is not the primary consideration students planning to enter any fields of study are considered, not required to be engineering majors WHAT: One $500 scholarship DEADLINE: October 7, 2011 APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE: Online at Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Provided By: Smithsonian Institution Deadline: December 01, 2011 Type of Award: Other Amount: $500 Website: Description: The Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest is open to photographers ages 18 and over. Applicants may enter photographs in any of the five categories Altered Images, Americana, the Natural World, People and Travel. Applicants compete to win cash prizes as well as the opportunity to have work printed in Smithsonian magazine and exhibited in the Smithsonian Institution.

4 SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES for JUNIORS and SENIORS: The CMCAF College Scholarship Provided By: The Chinese Migrant Children's Aid Foundation Deadline: May 25, 2011 Amount: $1,000 Website: Description: The CMCAF College Scholarship is available to high school and college students aged 16 and above. To be considered, you must research the migrant community and migrant children in China, then write an essay of 300 to 500 words answering the following questions: "What is the best way to solve the problem of extreme poverty and social exclusion that faces children in Chinese migrant communities? How can foreign aid organizations best assist these migrant children in becoming young adults with a real chance at success in life once they reach adulthood?" LiveCitizen Scholarship Competition Provided By: Advanced Video Communications Deadline: June 07, 2011 Type of Award: Contest Amount: $2500 Website: Description: The LiveCitizen Scholarship Competition is open to students, ages 16 and older, who are enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited post - secondary institution of higher learning. To be considered, you must submit a one to two minute video and a word essay answering the question "Who was the best president ever, and why?" Once the video and essay are uploaded, the videos will be voted on. The top five most voted videos will then be sent to LiveCitizen staff to decide a winner. Share Your Story Scholarship Provided By: Share Your Story Scholarship Foundation Deadline: July 15, 2011 Type of Award: Essay Contest Amount: $5,000 Awards Available: 9 Website: Description: The Share Your Story Scholarship is available to high school juniors and seniors and college freshmen who come from underserved communities. To be considered you must submit an essay(s) that was written for your college application(s). Essays must be at least 400 words. The top essays will be included in the publication of a book: Share your Story. CollegeTalk Scholarship Provided By: The College Inquirer Deadline: August 14, 2011 Amount: $750 Website: Description: The CollegeTalk Scholarship is available to students ages 16 and older. To be considered, you must, in 600 words or less, tell who you want as your president from 2012 to SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES for ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: Epic Book Drive Scholarship Provided By: Do Something Deadline: May 15, 2011 Awards Available: 2 Website: Description: The Epic Book Drive Scholarship is available to students ages 25 and under. You must run a book drive in your school or community, and send the books to Better World Books (free of charge). The books will be donated or sold to raise funds for New Orleans' Recovery School District libraries. You must also post pictures and explain why your book drive is Epic, to be considered for this award.

5 Financial Connects" Financial Literacy Scholarship Award Program Provided By: Net Literacy Alliance Type of Award: Contest Amount: $1, Website: Description: The "Financial Connects" Financial Literacy Scholarship Award is available to students in grades six through 12 and college undergraduate and graduate students. To be considered, you must create an original two to three minute financial literacy video or interactive game that promotes financial literacy and correlates with the Department of Education s financial literacy standards. A one paragraph proposal is required with your submission. You may participate individually or as a team associated with a nonprofit or school. Healthy Respect Win-Win Plus Scholarship Provided By: Healthy Respect Amount: $25,000 Website: Description: The Healthy Respect Win-Win Plus Scholarship is open to current high school and college students who plan on attending or are currently attending a college or university in the United States. For this scholarship, three different themes with multiple scholarships are being offered. Participants may submit essays (or videos) for multiple topics. Neither merit nor financial need will be considered. The award will be based solely on completion of all required steps. To be considered, you must submit a photograph that represents what your country means to you.

6 Clermont Educational Opportunities Scholarship Information College Access Program Twins Colleges that currently offer special scholarships or discounts for twins and triplets include: Carl Albert State College in Oklahoma (Paula Nieto Twin Scholarship) George Washington University in Washington, DC (50% discount for second sibling) Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio (each twin gets the scholarship in alternate years) Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Randolph-Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, VA (15% discount) Sterling College in Kansas (50% discount for each twin) West Chester University of Pennsylvania (Bonnie Evans Feinberg Scholarship) Hispanic Scholarship Fund There are many scholarships of varying award amounts and deadlines.
