2 Solutions for Waste Management Landfill Leachate removal from a landfill well is a primary requirement. Although different types of pumps are used, these need to be installed with a totalizing counter to monitor the pump cycles and to calculate the total volume of leachate that is being removed from the well. Instead of manually monitoring the leachate level and collecting the pump count data, the FlexPower Counter Nodes are used to wirelessly send data continuously from the pumps back to a central control location to save time and to eliminate errors. t 1 3 measuring points spaced at 0,5 m to guarantee hygienization of compost Biogas To meet governmental regulations, it is important to accurately monitor methane gas production, removal, venting, and burning. Use the analogue input to determine methane production levels and flow and use the thermocouple model to measure the temperature of a vent to verify the continuous combustion of methane. t 2 Composting Temperature Monitoring To efficiently compost waste, continuous temperature readings are required from the compost windrow. Manual data collection and risk of contamination are eliminated using a SureCross Node equipped with a dedicated thermocouple probe to automatically monitor the compost temperature. Temperature sensor readings are wirelessly transmitted back to the or host system for real-time data collection, analysis, and logging. Timely and accurate temperature data helps operators determine the optimum time between compost rotations. 3 Solutions for Water Treatment Pumps & Flow Wastewater influent has to be pumped from the different pipes to the water treatment plant. The total incoming and outgoing volume has to be measured by flow meters. A battery powered counter Node collects all pulses and transmits them to the control room. Liquid Level Detection Banner offers unique power management capabilities. This would allow a single wireless Node and a Flexpower optimised QT50U ultrasonic level measurement sensor (range 8 meter) to run about four years from a single DX81 battery power supply (at 15 minutes sampling interval). RS485 Sludge Level Monitoring multiple sensing points including sludge level but also ph, conductivity, and flow often from varied locations in a large water treatment plant can be a challenge. With four analogue inputs, a single SureCross Node can easily centralize and transmit critical monitoring information from multiple Sensors.
