1 WORK REPORT DRAMATICS (SEMESTER 1)
2 Targets for the Semester Provide an opportunity to perform and learn about dramatics to all the dramatics enthusiasts and Increase the outreach of Dramatics with same Encourage the participation of Post Graduates in Dramatics. Increase the culture of Improv Theatre by holding Icebreaker Night to boost the participation of PGs and Freshers in dramatic activities without the constraint of practice Propose a street play event Tamasha dekho yaar performed by professionals as part of Freshiezza at Open air theatre (OAT) to promote the street play culture in the institute Create an exhaustive database of scriptwriters, actors, actresses, directors and musicians; utilize it to the maximum and ensure its availability at the right time Propose to initiate the Crash Courses for Acting and Script Writing by instructors to increase the effectiveness of Workshops such that institute enthusiasts receive maximum relevant information in optimum time Events Rukhsat: It was a tribute to all the passing out seniors of dramatics. It was a wonderful experience with all the Dramatics society Workshop of script writing and Improv session were held in Hostel 15 for the Freshmen and post graduates Summer School of Cult- Organised Acting (19), Script Writing (12) and Improvisational Theatre Classes (17) during the summers. (No of students) Cult Online Organised cult online during the summers with three online competition. (Dubsmash, Don t change just raise your voice and What I wrote) Iebreaker Nights Ensured a Informal Theatre game session before all the meets to break the Ice between people ABCA and PAHAL Ensured mentoring of 14 people in Any Body Can Act and gave them a performing platform via PAHAL
3 Cult Yatra- A trip to NCPA theater was organized for institute people. Around 90 people enjoyed this trip and had a great experience. They explored many genres over there by watching many performances by Mood Indigo winners PG & UG cult Orientation Ensured proper mentoring and practice for all the performers in PG and UG cult orientation Fourthwall Introductory Session Organised an Introductory session of Fourthwall to give information about Dramatics in IITB to all the Freshmen Crash Course Workshop - To increase the outreach of Workshops, Organised the Crash Course for Acting and Script Writing before Sophie Prod by instructors so that institute enthusiast receive maximum relevant information in optimum time Sophie Prod Organised Sophie Prod 2015 and ensured enough participation from Sophomores and PGs. Also ensured proper Light and Stage slots for them to practice Workshop for monoacting Conducted a workshop in Hostel 15 mess for the freshers and ensured proper mentoring for monoacting competition Freshiezza Phase 1 Conducted two Competition Improve Theatre and Monoacting in Freshiezza phase 1 Freshiezza Phase 2 Conducted Street Play competition and ensured proper mentoring for the same. Light Workshop Organised a light workshop by Bijon Mondol in order to ensure the quality of technicalities in Main Dramatics General Championship MDGC 2015 Organised Main Dramatics General Championship and ensured enough Practice and Light slot for all the participants. TheatreFest 2015 Organised Theatrefest 2015 and ensured its proper publicity through online and Offline resources. 4 Fourthwall Informal Session Organised a Fourthwall Informal Session in which various Informal activities were held.
4 In sync with the Manifesto Made an exhaustive database of all the scriptwriters, Actors, Directors and Musicians and will upload it soon on gymkhana website Ensured the Ice Breaker activities before every meet to break the Ice between the club Ensured Increased Light and Practice slots in Main dramatics General Championship to increase the quality of the performances Conducted Crash course workshop for Script writing and Acting in order to increase the quality of Sophie Prod plays Brought some Basic Inventories in theatre room which we generally use in plays Organised workshops in hostel 15 to increase the participation of fresher and PGs in dramatics activities Ensured the Promo videos for all the flagship events and also ensured the good quality recording of all the events Infrastructure and Theatre Room Minitheatre Groundwork Have talked about the same with the Institute Seniors and Many professional theatre artists Paper Work Got the permission for Mini Theatre approved by the Institute Director Lay out work Made a Rough Lay out regarding the Requirements and structure and discussing the same with various Theatre Groups to check their feasibility Ensured the fitting of a Mirror inside Theatre room to ensure proper practice of plays and it can be used for other institute activities also Ensured proper polishing of all the risers and made proper security arrangement for other Inventories placed Inside the Theatre room Soon will get the music set up in theatre room and light set up for practicing and learning
5 Made an exhaustive list of all the Dramatics people according to their genre in dramatics Conducted online competitions to increase the culture of dramatics Continued NSO dramatics classes this year for the second time after taking the permissions and follow ups Online Purchasing System (OPS) is being implemented shortly to use any inventories of Theatre Room Made an Light plan for LT PCSA and will ensure their fitting shortly In the Pipe Line and Targets for Next Semester Planning for the event Crack the Situation to increase the informality between the club people Try to get a Good professional play either in LT PCSA or in Convocation hall in the Next Semester Auditions for Mood Indigo and Ann Prod Will send the videos of top 3 plays of MDGC to the authorities of Prithvi Theatre and the selected pay will get a chance to perform in Prithvi Theatre (Send the entries in November End) Confirmation of the performance in NCPA theatre under the LYP programme Mini theatre Lay out plan and the follow ups of the same Fourth-wall logo painting and wall of fame inside the theatre room Contacting for the mentors during Ann prod and Unmaad practice Acting and script writing workshop in the mess of hostel 12, 13 and 14 to increase the participation of PGs in Ann Prod and Mood Indigo 2015 Contacting for Voice Over workshop before PAF Build and maintain an archive of tutorial videos, voice over audios of stories and written scripts of plays performed at dramatics events on institute dramatics website ; ensure effective publicity of the same through Facebook and Gmail Planning for NSO field trip with NSO instructor Celebrity calling for Annual Productions 2015
