3 Dual/Joint Enrollment Frequently Asked Questions What is the difference between Dual and Joint Enrollment? Dual enrollment means you get credit for both a high school and a college class at the same time one class that gets counted two places. It really is a great deal! Joint enrollment means you are taking a college course while still enrolled in high school, but only earning college credit for the course. Your high school counselor can tell you whether the class you are taking qualifies as dual or joint enrollment for high school purposes. With either option, you are still earning college credit! Why take dual/joint enrollment classes? An immediate benefit is to save money, but other benefits include getting a jump start on your college career and gaining some experience and confidence about college level work through an easier transition.
