2 Pray, Send, Go & Give UNLEASHED 2015 What an exciting year it has been to fulfill the Go part of Mountainview s mission statement. We were able to send Joe and Jen Brown with our love, prayers and support as they follow God s calling to serve Him in Ukraine as fulltime missionaries. In addition to funding our current mission partners with our monthly commitments, we were also able to provide for unexpected mission needs that arose throughout the year. What a blessing it is to bless others with the gifts given through Unleashed. As you read through the booklet this year I hope that you will be encouraged to see how God used your dollars to make an impact throughout the world, near and far. My hope is that you will catch a vision for how God can use you in missions. Everyone has a role whether it is to give financially, to pray or to use your God-given talents to be the hands and feet of Jesus. 4 unleash... GOD S POWER IS BEING UNLEASHED THROUGH YOU The mark of a great church is not its seating capacity, but its sending capacity. We all have our roles in being part of a great church: all can pray, some are sent, some send, and still others give. How can we do His will? By simply making it personal. It s between you and God as to how He will use you to do His work.. Please Pray. Glorify God s work in missions by offering your personal prayers. Your passionate prayers not only change the world, they have a way of transforming the people who pray. Ask God if He wants you to SEND or to GO. Finally, brothers and sisters, pray for us so that the Lord s message will spread quickly and be honored, just like it happened with you. Pray too that we will be rescued from inappropriate and evil people since everyone that we meet won t respond with faith. - 2 Thessalonians 3:1 - Common English Bible Please Give. Jesus commands us to care for those less fortunate than us. Share money and resources God has blessed you with, so that Mountainview can not only meet our commitments but expand the kingdom with bigger missions goals. Give freely and spontaneously...so I command you: Always be generous, open your purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, to your poor and hurting neighbors. Deuteronomy 15:11- The Message Please Go. If He answers, GO!, don t be afraid for your first trip. Look at all the short-term and long-term mission trips Mountainview is offering. Pray, talk to us, pick one and go. We will help you go. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. 5 God-sized goal PLEASE SEND! Grow in God s work through your personal involvement in missions. If He answers your prayer with, SEND!, you can encourage, hold up and refresh missionaries with your personal prayers and ask God to call other faithful intercessors to respond. God s goal is to recruit every one of us for His search and rescue team; The Great Commission. These were his instructions to them: The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. - Luke 10:12 NLT Bible

6 2015 Plans to Pray, For 2015, we have broken our financial efforts into the following geographic areas: Ukraine-Christian Education, Rehab Centers, Nursing Homes and Mission family), Middle East (Teaching, Reconciliation, and Evangelism), North Africa (Orphan Care and Teaching and Mission family),united States (Church Planting, Student Outreach, Christian Camps, Homeless Mom and Families Outreach, and International Student Ministry), Nepal (Sex Trafficking Prevention and Interventions, Children s Home) and Jamaica (Childrens Home). Distribution of the resources was arrived at after prayerful consideration. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you. - 2 Corinthians 9:11-15 ESV Bible

7 Send, Go & Give Aligned with our mission to GO, Mountainview Christian Church supports missions locally and around the world. We want to reach out to the world around us and share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ. Deeply recognizing that the unbeliever s most vital need is to know Jesus Christ, we have a role in sharing the Good News by serving the needs of the hurting and helpless in our world. Our mission partners need our financial support so that they can continue to do God s work. Mountainview's goal of $120,000 will allow us to financially support our current and future mission partners. $90,000 has been allocated to our current mission partners and hopefully we pray for another $30,000 to expand the kingdom. Our goal of $120,000 represents Mountainview s tithe for mission outreach. The only way we can reach our goal depends on your generosity in giving.

8 OUR PARTNERS World-Wide International Ukraine - TCI ($18,000) - We financially support TCI (Tavriski Christian Institute) so that they can train current and next generations of pastors and leaders to start new churches where churches didn t exist under communism in Ukraine. Ukraine - Joe and Jen Brown ($12,000) - We financially support Joe and Jen Brown, members of our church family, so that they can bring the healing power of Jesus to Ukraine. Nepal - Tiny Hands ($6,000) - We financially support Tiny Hands in Nepal so that they can help desperate and voiceless women and children, particularly street children and the victims of the sex-trafficking industry. North Africa - Herrera family ($18,000) - We financially support the Herreras, members of our church family, so that they can minister to those who cannot fend for themselves, those who are being marginalized, and those who have been kept in the dark. Middle East - Carl and Chris Medearis ($10,000) - We financially support Carl and Chris Medearis so that they can spend time working with leaders both in the West and in the Arab world with the hope of seeing the Middle East and the West experience full and fruitful relationships through the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Jamaica - Robin s Nest Children s Home ($3,000) - We financially support Robin s Nest Children s Home in Jamaica so that they can provide a safe and secure Christian environment for the children while providing them the education they need to grow.

9 OUR PARTNERS - UNITED STATES United States Church Planting - We financially support church planting so that lost people can find their way back to God. $6,000 - Elevation Church (Aurora), $1,000 Front Range Church (Castle Rock), $2,500- Church Planters of the Rockies Edge Student Life of Highlands Ranch ($1,200) - We financially support Chris Phelps, a member of Mountainview, so that his non-profit ministry is a safe place for teens to experience God s love and community. Camp Como( $5,000) - We financially support Camp Como so that they can provide opportunities for campers of all ages to encounter and grow in Jesus Christ. Bridge of Hope ($2,500) - We financially support Bridge of Hope who exemplify Christ s love to homeless women and children so that they can intentionally end homelessness for children and their moms one family at a time. Crossroads International Student Ministries ($4,800) - We financially support Crossroads International Student Ministry so that Mountainview members can have a relationship with international students from DU and the surrounding campuses that God has brought to our backyard. Christy Dallakoti, a member of Mountainview, will work under Crossroads as an international campus minister at DU. Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38-ESV Bible

See the world through His eyes. Where might God be calling you to serve on a mission trip in 2015? 12 UNLEASH YOUR PRAYER FOR: Joe & Jen Brown: Pray for peace and unity in Ukraine. TCI in Ukraine: Pray for God to provide for financial needs. In light of the situation in Ukraine many expenses have increased. Carl & Chris Medearis: Pray for their upcoming trip to Dubai in Feb. Pray for God to open doors, relationships and confirmation from the Lord. Freddie & Tony Herrera: Pray for the family as Freddie recently lost her father unexpectedly. Chris Phelps: Pray for teens in Highlands Ranch to come to know the Lord. Robin s Nest Children s Home: Pray that they have an on-site professional Christian counselor for kids and staff and they have the ability to provide clean water every day at the Nest. Tiny Hands Nepal: Pray that the government will allow them to start construction on the next Children s Home All the church plants: Pray that God will be a light in the community and use these new churches to reach others for Christ. Camp Como: Pray for the continued goal of debt reduction. Crossroads International Student Ministry: Pray for Christy Dallakoti as she starts reaching out to international students on the DU campus starting in January. Bride of Hope: Pray that God blesses Bridge of Hope ministry at Mountainview and greater Denver.
