Prices are subject to change at any time. Following are descriptions of the four leadership levels of the LEADS 360 assessment (Front, Mid Manager, Senior Manager and Executive level), information regarding debriefing options and contact information. LEADS 360 Assessments are provided in conjunction with LEADS Debriefings with certified LEADS Coaches. LEADS Debriefings are offered at an additional cost in different formats: LEADS Group Debriefing, LEADS Individual Debriefing (30 minutes)*offered only in conjunction with the LEADS Group Debriefing, and LEADS Individual Debriefing (90 minutes). Attached is more information on the types of LEADS Debriefings and their cost.
Four Levels of the LEADS 360 Assessment FRONT Front Line Manager Service Delivery role: Working directly with patients, the general public, or other health care services, this leader possesses strong interpersonal skills, an inclusive management style, a passion for knowledge and the ability to recognize where and how improvements can be made. MID Mid Level Manager Operational role: Focusing on systems with a solid sense of what it takes to improve administrative and service delivery systems, this leader requires strong analytical skills, comfort with emerging technology, clear communications skills and a vision of excellence in service delivery. This leader often acts as a bridge between the clinical/public and strategic roles, taking ideas into action and uncovering any blocks or barriers to system functioning. With an eye on the big picture, this leader takes high level goals and thinking and makes sure they translate well in the operational and program delivery area. SENIOR Senior Level Manager (Often called the Director level) Strategic-operational role: As a facilitator of seamless processes, this leader acts as a bridge between both worlds, taking ideas into action and uncovering any blocks or barriers to system functioning. With an eye on the big picture, this leader takes high level goals and thinking and makes sure they translate well in the operational and program delivery area. EXECUTIVE Executive (CEO s, VP s, Executive Team members) Strategic-executive role: To work in the challenging and complex arena of health care, a leader needs to be skilled at looking at the entire picture from many viewpoints. Solutiondriven, the strategic leader can research and synthesize diverse sets of information into a multilevel strategic vision. They are astute communicators, comfortable in political arenas as well as in front of the media. This leader not only sets the vision, they have the skills to engage staff in making that vision achievable. LEADS 360 PRICE LIST 2
The LEADS 360 Debriefing Process LEADS 360 Assessments are provided in conjunction with LEADS 360 Debriefings, completed by a certified LEADS Coach. Best practices with the use of 360s are that they be used for future development planning, not for performance assessment. A number of studies have shown the risks of using 360s for performance assessment, and there are few, if any, 360s designed for performance review purposes. Further, the LEADS 360 items measure frequency, not effectiveness, of behaviour, so interpreting results as performance assessment would be incorrect. While administering the inventory and collecting the data is often seen as the major part of the 360 assessment project, it s the meaning that participants make of the data that is most significant. The 360 report can be up to 40 pages long, and includes more than 500 discrete quantitative data points, and often 30 or more qualitative responses. This is a daunting collection of information to analyze, understand and transform into a meaningful learning plan. The purpose of the debrief is to help the participant make sense of all the data in a coherent way, comparing the data with their experience and translating their understanding into a learning plan that captures the essence of the feedback, plus the learning needs and aspirations of the participant. Our experience is that this debriefing process is best supported by a Certified Executive Coach who is knowledgeable about the LEADS in a Caring Environment leadership capabilities framework and experienced in fairly sophisticated analysis of 360 data and translation of all this data into a doable plan. Oftentimes the coach must also support the participant to make sense of data that is a surprise to them or that they do not agree with, and turn this data into a meaningful forward-looking plan. During the debriefing, coaches discuss communication of the learning plan and any follow up clarification of data that might be necessary. Again, best practice literature shows that the actual data of the report is best kept confidential to the participant. What is recommended, however, is wide sharing of the learning plan with the participant s supervisor, peers and direct reports. This engagement of respondents in knowing the plan and inviting further feedback on activation of the plan achieves the best results for the entire process. The Canadian College of Health Leaders agrees with best practice literature that the actual report belongs to the participant and is not shared with anyone else. While managers may feel a need to see the data, the value in the process is in the conversation that the manager has with the participant about their plan, the needs of their work unit and how the individual and organizational development needs will be met by the plan. LEADS 360 PRICE LIST 3
LEADS 360 Group Debrief The LEADS 360 Assessment debrief will increase self-awareness, self-confidence and energy for change. The group debrief setting provides the structure for the 360 debrief in a safe, organized and systematic fashion. Leaders are intentionally prepared, debriefed and moved forward with their leadership development plan. The certified LEADS Coach, who facilitates the Group Debrief, creates the space to fully understand the feedback in the one-day debrief program. The emphasis is on self-reflection; facilitators provide the platform for this reflection. The participants themselves will choose their areas for growth and will leave with an accountability contract for learning that they may share with their supervisor. The cost of travel and accommodation plus preparation and facilitator fees makes the Group Debrief a good option for LEADS 360 projects of 20 or more participants. The Group Debrief may be offered in conjunction with an optional 30 minute Individual Debrief (via Skype or telephone) in which individual results are discussed with a certified LEADS Coach and an individualized Learning Plan is initiated. What you can expect during the session: Time to read / reflect on the 360 report Discussion of initial reaction to report trends / confirmations / surprises Review of high and low ratings / anchoring of strengths Review of comments / range of responses / value of feedback / any blind spots Focus on development / growth plan / timelines / support required Creation of a learning plan for the next eight months Completion of an accountability contract for learning which may be shared with the direct supervisor At the end of the group debrief workshop, participants will: Have a thorough understanding of their strengths and areas for growth in each of the LEADS domains. Develop individual Learning Plans within the five LEADS domains which may be shared with their supervisor and the beginning steps of their Accountability Contract will be complete. COST : $7, tax For up to 20 participants Consultation fees (1 certified LEADS Coach), travel, program tailoring to client needs, program material to participants and coordination. Note: The organization is responsible for organizing and covering the cost of all logistical details associated with the venue, including registration, room rental, audio-visual supports, meals, refreshments and their associated expenses. LEADS 360 PRICE LIST 4
LEADS Minute Individual Debrief (Offered only in conjunction with the Group Debrief) Following the Group Debrief session, the certified LEADS Coach who facilitated the Group Debrief, will provide a 30 minute coaching session per participant via telephone or Skype to review his or her individual 360 results and facilitate development of the learning plan. COST: $ tax per participant LEADS Minute Individual Debrief A certified LEADS Coach will provide up to 90 minutes coaching debrief per participant via telephone or Skype. Completed reports will be delivered in a pdf format, with a report shared with the LEADS 360 participant and the supporting LEADS Coach. Upon completion, participants will understand their leadership strengths and identify their learning edge along with at least one action item that would move them forward on their journey to mastery. COST: $ tax per participant LEADS 360 Aggregate Report Interpretation The LEADS 360 aggregate report interpretation provides the organization with an opportunity to see how leadership behaviour is observed across the organization. This written report, authored by a certified LEADS Coach, provides a summary and interpretation of the anonymous LEADS 360 results across the leadership levels (as identified by the LEADS 360 assessments completed). The LEADS Coach, upon delivery of the report to the organization, is available for a teleconference with an audience from the organization to discuss the results of the interpretation and the potential impact on organizational leadership development. The aggregate report interpretation promotes discussion regarding support for leadership development from an organizational perspective, taking into account that areas for leadership development are contextual and linked to the strategic direction of the organization, the makeup of the team and the desired destination of the leaders in the team. COST One Level $2,050 Interpretation and report writing 1 hour teleconference Two Levels $2,300 Interpretation and report writing 1 hour teleconference Three Levels $2,900 Interpretation and report writing 1.5 hour teleconference Four Levels $3,150 Interpretation and report writing 1.5 hour teleconference LEADS 360 PRICE LIST 5
