5 Transfer Student Admission Criteria A transfer student applicant is defined as a degree-seeking student who has earned a minimum of 12 semester (18 quarter) hours of transferable credit at a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. Programs are offered in 16-Week semesters. Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended must be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admission. An evaluation of courses and hours still needed will be forwarded by the Office of Admission. Transfer student applicants need to have earned a minimum 2.0 cumulative transfer Grade Point Average (higher for some majors) based upon all transferable courses to be considered for admission. The Office of Undergraduate Admission will fully review a student s file to determine the likelihood of success at Lewis University. Application Deadlines (Recommended) Status Fall Spring Scholarship Consideration Transfer July 1 November 1 Transfer Nursing April 1 October 15 Accelerated 2 weeks before start of term Accelerated Student Admission Criteria Accelerated programs offer students an opportunity to complete a degree program with classes that start every 8 weeks. Candidates for admission need a minimum of 30 semester hours of transferable credit at a regionally accredited postsecondary institution and have significant work experience to contribute to the class discussions. A personal statement and official transcripts from all colleges previously attended are required to complete the application decision letter from the Office of Admission.
