Provided field-based psychotherapy to clients ages 3-12 with behavioral and mood disturbances and exposure to trauma. Participated in a program development elective rotation that involved developing an attachment-based parenting group. Conducted an in-service training for clinical staff on the topic of spirituality. Clients were from ethnically diverse and low socioeconomic backgrounds. Gained experience with aggression replacement training (ART) and other empirically based practices. Additionally saw one outpatient child client and family for family therapy. Received three hours of didactic training per week regarding topics such as paperwork for the Department of Mental Health and empirically based practices. Attended weekly staff meetings and received two hours of individual supervision per week. Clients were from primarily Hispanic and African American backgrounds and presented with various psychological diagnoses including Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Asperger s Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety Disorder and Emotional Disturbance. Co-led a social skills group and conducted intake interviews. Attended IEP meetings and collaborated with parents, teachers and case managers. Provided mentorship to a student working on a senior project. Worked on site for fifteen hours per week and received one hour of weekly dyadic supervision. Participated in a monthly consultation group meeting with other psychology interns and externs on site.
