Minimum Levels of Required GL Insurance Requirement for Construction and Building Related Services (Not New Construction) 1M per occurrence/aggregate $2M per occurrence/aggregate $7M per occurrence/aggregate Professional Liability $1M Flooring Electrician Boilers/Steam Generators (or State Mandate) Floor Refinisher Bleachers Hazardous Waste Transporter/Handler Cleaner HVAC Asbestos Abatement Designers Carpeting Exterior Contractor Elevator Work Architects & Engineers Signs Window Washers Roofing, Scaffolding, Façade Work Painting Underground Work Trenching/Evacuation Concrete Power Lines Exterminator *Coverages may be provided in any combination of Primary and Excess/Umbrella limits totaling required amount 1

3 Types of Insurance Required (i) General Liability (GL) required by all Comprehensive General Liability, including: Contractual; Premises Operations; Products and Completed Operations; Independent Contractor/ Vendors and Personal Injury; Bodily Injury & Property Damage Each Occurrence/Aggregate per specified minimum limits (ii) Workers Compensation (WC)(when required) Employers Liability (EL) Statutory limits for WC/ $1,000,000 EL (WC and EL are not required if the vendor is a solo independent contractor) (iii) Automobile Liability (when required) Bodily Injury & Property Damage $1,000,000 (Automobile Liability Insurance is required when use of a vehicle is integral to the Performance of the contract or project) Certificate of Insurance Requirements A Certificate of Insurance is required to demonstrate compliance with the above noted insurance requirements. The Certificate of Insurance must: - Name Temple University Of The Commonwealth System Of Higher Education, Its Trustees, Officers, Employees and Agents as an Additional Insured under the Vendor s General Liability policy. - Demonstrate that insurance policies are underwritten by a carrier rated at least A in Best Key Rating Guide. - Contain a provision that a thirty (30) day prior written notice of cancellation shall be sent to the University. - This Insurance is primary as to any other valid and collectible insurance in force.
