4 Complementary and Alternative Medicine Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) includes practices and products not currently considered part of conventional medicine. Recent studies show that 40 percent of American adults tried at least one form of CAM last year even though CAM services were not covered by most health insurance plans. CAM treatment options are not covered under TRICARE or the US Family Health Plan. However, discounts on these services are available to US Family Health Plan members through this special program. Use the WholeHealthMD website to search for and purchase subscriptions. Hearing Aids and Batteries Members also receive substantial discounts on hearing aids and batteries through HearPO. Please remember that for hearing tests and medical services, you should see a US Family Health Plan Network Provider. The HearPO program should be used only to purchase hearing aids and batteries.
