Research Intern June Oct 2012 TELUS Telecom., Toronto, Canada Project defined under SAVI (smart application on virtual network, scopes of cloud computing research. Focused on the challenges and opportunities of mobility in the context of cloud computing. In particular, we investigated various single sign on (SSO) solutions for cross-device mobility while guaranteeing QoS. Integrated IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) and Hadoop distributed systems into the SAVI cloud testbed. IMS is meant to provide QoS, authentication and authorization. Strategic Research Intern Aug-Dec Nokia Research Center, Helsinki, Finland Proposed an efficient resource management solution based on graph coloring for a cellular network Devised two scheduling schemes that provide QoS satisfaction along with fairness for the users. Contributed to identify use-cases and requirements of the device-to-device network from social, commercial and public safety perspectives. Research Assistant Wireless Computing Lab, University of Toronto Designed advanced resource-allocation model using innovate optimization technique and assignment problems result to improve the QoS of cooperative networks.

3 p. 3 Applied cross-layer design approaches to fully utilize the benefits of cooperative networks using various convex and non-convex optimization forms and techniques such as mixed-integer programming, geometric programming, multi-objective optimization and some innovative approaches, for instance, time-sharing and dual-decomposition methods. Created a simulation framework in MATLAB and C++ comprising more than thousands lines of code to study the performance of the resource allocation algorithms. Published and present research results in top ranking journals and conferences. List of publications is available below. Research Assistant ICORE Lab, University of Alberta Proposed new structures of unitary matrices adopted in various space-time codes and precoding matrices, leading to a better performance with lower error probability in MIMO. Employed different optimization methods including Genetic Algorithm to utilize transmit-power resources in several wireless communication evironment with various channel stochastic behaviors. Developed a simulation platform in MATLAB/C++ to statistically evaluate our proposed codes. Published the results in prestigious related journals and conferences; See below for more info. IT Specialist, and Software Programmer AICTC and Gata Co.., Tehran, Iran Designed and customized, as part of a team, a set-top-box (STB) platform for Iranian home users, offering many interactive services such as VoD, VoIP and E-shopping. Developed a set of multimedia applications for this platform under Linux Environment. Submitted a complete feasibility study and price analysis of Telematic in self-made vehicles, to the Ministry of Technology.
