All our Med systems have a fixed frame with an automated retractable concertina roof which can be opened and closed at the touch of a button. This allows full advantage to be taken of the warm sunshine and yet on cooler days, or when shade or shelter is needed, the roof can be instantly closed. With the addition of side blinds, and heating and lighting, the whole area can be fully enclosed to create a cosy atmosphere for your customers to enjoy all year round. The Med retractable roof system comes in a variety of styles, sizes and finishes to ensure that we can provide the perfect bespoke solution to meet your needs. key features The permanent frames are available in a range of materials from traditional timber to contemporary and durable powder coated aluminium. The waterproof retractable roof covers are made from high quality blackout OPATEX PVC with UV protection and solar transmission factor of zero. The external face is available in a choice of 5 colours and the internal face in 2 colours. When closed the automated retractable roof is held under tension creating a flat surface that guarantees the discharge of rain water and certain products feature a hidden internal guttering system. Drip catcher seals prevent water seeping laterally over the cover edge. All systems have exclusive patented FAST COUPLING, QUICK BLOCK, WEATHERSTRIP and CATCH DROP technology to facilitate the smooth running of the mechanisms for years to come. All systems can be manually or Somfy motor driven with a variety of control systems ranging from a simple rocker switch to intelligent EOLIS and SOLIRIS sensors. All the Med range are tested to wind resistance class 3 (110NM =50KM) equivalent to grade 6-7 on the Beaufort scale in compliance with the UNI EN European standard. 4 med unica contemporary aluminium frame The Unica is our most popular Med system. It features a robust powder coated aluminium frame giving a clean and contemporary look. The system comes in 2 formats, the Unica 130 and the Unica 165, the latter featuring a larger section frame for those seeking a greater projection. Specifications: Roof cassette and rear frame can be wall or ceiling mounted with front load bearing posts secured to the ground. Robust aluminium frame and support bars available in 4 standard colours, anthracite, stainless steel effect, white (RAL 9010) and ivory (RAL 1013). Wind resistance to class 3 (110NM =50KM) equivalent to grade 6-7 on the Beaufort scale. The roof system is on lateral guides with timing belts and steel strands which rotate on nylon pulleys with closed cage ball bearings ensuring smooth and reliable operation. The frame is in laminar Scots pine which is hardwearing and can be finished in 8 colours to ensure that it blends in with any environment. The structure is reinforced in the corners for extra stability and it offers all the great features of the standard Med. Available in 2 formats, the Med Isola Pavilion 130 has a elegant aluminium frame whereas the Med Isola Pavilion 165 features a larger section frame for those seeking a greater projection. 7 med 85 integrates perfectly with an existing structure There is sometimes the requirement to integrate a retractable roof within an existing structure and the Med 85 is the perfect solution. Featuring a lighter frame than other Med systems, it has a tensioned cover with wind bearing support bars making it stable and robust in design. 8 enclosing your med One of the key advantages of the Med is the ease by which it can be fully enclosed to create the perfect outdoor room. There are a range of options from glass sliding doors to vertical blinds available in a range of materials and finishes to create a weather resistant room which can be used throughout the seasons. glass sliding doors The sliding system features tempered glass panels in an easy glide track allowing them to be smoothly opened or closed. Glass panels come in a range of sizes and can be opened internally or externally, to the right or left or a combination of both. Made of tempered safety glass 10mm thick, when closed they form a single clear wall which is wind resistant and 95% water proof. Door can be fitted with optional stainless lock and handle. Wind resistant to Beaufort scale 10. vertical blinds Installing vertical blinds will enclose your Med completely providing protection from the wind and rain. All feature a top cassette with vertical side guides for smooth running and excellent wind operation. Available in a choice of materials from clear, blackout, shading and insect mesh. At inn-fresco we have a range of options available. flat cover - Perfectly tensioned flat pitch for a smooth effect windowed cover A great solution for those looking to add light to their room extra finishing touches lighting - Spot lights can be incorporated into the roof support bars to provide an integral mood lighting system. Two different spotlights are available, the first provides a gentle soft lighting, the second a more intense light. They can be turned on and off and dimmed via the Somfy RTS control system. heating - We can provide a wide range of electric outdoor heaters, which efficiently heat colours your outdoor space on cooler evenings. internal fabric lining - A fabric liner can be applied internally to give a beautiful waved green / champagne effect inside. Mounted on the windbreak support bars on nylon clips and aluminium tubes, the fabric is pocketed to make it secure and does not interfere with the smooth running of the outer Med system. The air chamber created between the external and internal covers improves heat insulation, avoids condensation and hides the technical parts of the structure making it more aesthetically pleasing. burgundy / champagne grey / champagne champagne / champagne drip catcher - For extra protection you can add a drip catch system which comprises of an white / white aluminium profile and seal that further protects the wind pushing rain over the cover edge. motorisation - Easy manual operation is standard however why not upgrade to a fully motorised system allowing silent and easy operation at the touch of a button. All the Med systems can be fitted with integral Somfy motors which are acknowledged as world leaders in awning automation. remote control and sensors - Motorised systems can be advanced one step further When the roof is retracted back we recommend the use of a cassette cover which helps to protect the material from build-up of rain and leaves. Beam covers are also available to protect the upper part of the wood beams and reduce wood maintenance. 15 with intelligent sun and wind sensors, which enable our products to react automatically depending on the weather conditions. The entire range feature exclusive patented technologies to ensure that the system works seamlessly year after year. The Gibus Fast Coupling system ensures easy and quick coupling of the driving shaft to the gears. This patented system ensures that the motor will also be perfectly balanced with the drive belt without providing any wall support. The system also ensures quick disassembly and reassembly times reducing maintenance costs. This patented system allows the quick and safe connection of the wind break support bars and fabric. Not only does this simplify installation and maintenance but it offers great resistance from intense weight or cold. To ensure the long term usage in all weathers the two part weather strip fastens and seals the cloth in the windbreak support bars. The weather strip system also offers the advantage that, as they are independent cloths, they can be changed individually if necessary without the need to disassemble the whole cover. We offer standard maintenance contracts but can of course tailor make these to suit your requirements.
