1 Important information regarding the graduate fellowship program Bridge to the Doctorate Program Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship Overview University of Delaware's Bridge to the Doctorate (BTD) graduate fellowship program Cohort XIV, anticipating funding by the National Science Foundation (NSF), promotes the participation of underrepresented minority students in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) disciplines. WHAT are the benefits? The successful applicant will pursue a M.S or Ph.D. degree in a STEM discipline. I understand that my eligibility to continue in the Bridge to the Doctorate program is contingent on my enrollment in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field as specified by the National Science Foundation. 6. I understand that the Bridge to the Doctorate Program has a full-time minimum enrollment requirement. 7. I understand that this program will be considered full-time employment and that I cannot be employed by any other agency or obtain any other federally-funded scholarship/fellowship. 8. I understand that I will not be allowed to continue in the Bridge to the Doctorate Program if my academic progress does not meet enrollment requirements, and semester and cumulative GPA requirements as stated in the program guidelines. 9. Personal Statement (The personal statement is generally 1-5 pages and is your opportunity to share relevant information about yourself, your goals, and why you would make a good match for the particular graduate program to which you are applying. Some programs ask that you address particular questions as your personal statement. Please check to see if your program requires this by clinking on the Personal Statement tab under the following link: Letters of Recommendation (minimum of 3 required) (Candidates should use the Recommendations module within the on-line application. The module is unique in that you can sign up your recommenders, send off the links, continue to re-send the links yourself, change your recommenders and, finally, see when the recommender completed the form via your status page all before you click the final Submit button on your application).
