12 The following is a list of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network approved autism evaluation centers. For applied behavior analysis treatment to be covered, members are required to go to a BCBSM- or BCN-approved autism evaluation center, or AAEC. These providers are approved to evaluate and make or confirm a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and develop a treatment plan. If the treatment plan recommends applied behavior analysis treatment, and the treatment is pre authorized by the Blues then the treatment will qualify for coverage. Members receiving services other than applied behavior analysis to treat ASD do not need to receive the ASD diagnosis from an approved autism evaluation center or AAEC. The Blues will continue to build the network of qualified facilities to receive the approved autism evaluation center designation. For the most current list of providers, please check this site often. For more information about autism coverage, benefits, and providers please call the number on the back of your Blues ID card. ~ One Ford Place Pediatric Administration 4B, Detroit, MI 48202, Rotunda, Dearborn, Michigan 48124, Michigan St., Grand Rapids, MI 49503,
