Burke, Chief Ope rating officerj!;f's Vendors' liability nsurance Requirements for Community School Facilities This bulletin replaces all previous bulletins concerning Vendors' liability nsurance. information with your School Treasurer. Please sha re this Policy 7.18 details the lease procedures for the community use of school facilities and requires the following: The use of a Lease Agreement whenever the school facility is used by an individual or group, and liability insurance naming the School Board of Palm Beach County as an additional insured. Although a school center may waive rental fees, as they deem appropriate, insurance requirements may not be waived; even Good Causes and Cha rities must sign a lease and provide insurance. There are no exceptions. The purpose of the bulletin is to provide procedures to all principals regarding liability insu rance for organizations (tenants) leasing School District facilities. Often times, various tenants are unable to purchase liability insurance on their own at an affordable price; therefore, the District has purchased a Vendors liability nsurance Policy from Scottsdale nsu rance Company. With this policy, the insu rance is already in place and applicable tenants reimburse the District per the attached fee sched ule. Schools should record, in nternal Accounts, all premiums collected from the lessees who avail themselves of the Vendors' liability nsurance in the following manner: Fund Account Fund Account Fund Sub-Account Fund Account Type Number Number Name Rental Facilities- nsu rance Proceeds The School District of Palm Beach County - Rated "'A"' by the Florida Department of Education "'Home of Florida's First leed Gold Certified School" The School District of Palm Beach County is an Equal Education Opportunity Provider and Employer
