The days are longer, the trees are growing strong. With freedom of summer we re moving on. So much to do on these sunny days, We open up the door, for all there is in store.

3 I M BOSS OF ALL MY FEELINGS Leigh Newton I m boss of all my feelings, I m boss of what I do, I m boss of how my feelings show and what I say to you: And there ll be no excuses for the way I choose to be, Just what I do with how I feel is always up to me. If I m feeling lonely, feeling sorry for myself; I can read a book or get my hobby. I don t have to groan or walk around and moan, There s lots of ways to brighten up this day. If I m disappointed that my friends have left me out, It s okay to feel, it s such a hard thing. I don t have to gripe, I don t have to show my spite; We can find another time to play. If I m feeling silly for a hundred different things, Embarrassed when there s lots of people laughing- I may want to shout and throw my weight about, But I can choose to laugh or walk away. If I m feeling angry I can choose just what to do: I don t have to yell or blame somebody. I don t have to fight, not even if I m right, There always has to be another way.

4 BOTTLE IT UP Arif Usmani When somebody makes me mad, I just bottle it up inside. When things go wrong, I don t get sad, I just bottle it up inside. 6 THESE FEELINGS Leigh Newton These feelings: I m choking, I m aching, not coping. Now tell me, just what am I to do? Go and take a hike with a big Back pack, go and put your Great big boots on, Slap some sun cream on your face; Have a good time in the human race. Go and get a bat, go and get a ball, Hit it up against the wall. Go and get a rake and pull out some weeds, Go and do a little gardening, plant some seeds. These feelings: I m choking, I m aching, not coping. Now tell me, just what am I to do? Go and take a nap in your parents bed, Go and get a great big snuggle. Eat some pizza in the bath, Go and watch a video, have a good laugh. Sing like a bird, bark like a dog, Jump and croak like a frog, Go and get a book from the library, Get away and do some reading, climb a tree. These feelings are changing; My sadness I m taming, I wonder now what else can I do? Go and get a pen and write a poem, Finish it with a picture. Grab your crayons, grab your paints, Maybe painting your complaints, Find a bucket, wash the car, Maybe make a mask. Go and get a trumpet, Play your drum, sing along and Make some music, have some fun. These feelings are changing; My sadness I m taming, Go and take a walk and talk to A friend, get a book and learn some magic. Bring a hamster from a hat, Turn your guinea pig into a cat.

7 Go and take a run, check the mail, step on every snail. Go and write a letter to a long lost mate, tell them all the things you re feeling, tell them straight. These feelings are changing: My sadness I m taming, I wonder now what else can I do?

Good friends come on over and stay the night.
