Match each phrase in column A with one from column B to make a complete and accurate sentence. 2. Draw a line that connects the two phrases. 3 Crossing the Street Safely Here are the four most important steps to getting on and off the bus and crossing the street safely. A. The driver will let you off when traffic has stopped. Wait until you are told it is safe to cross. Look to the left and right when you get off the bus. B. Walk forward along the side of the road to a point 10 feet in front of the bus. Make sure that the bus driver sees you. C. After the driver signals you to cross, stay protected by the bus and look both ways to make sure no cars are coming from either direction. Do not cross if cars are still coming towards you. D. When you are sure that all vehicles have stopped and the way is clear, carefully walk across the street. NEVER WALK BEHIND THE BUS WATCH FOR PASSING CARS 7.
