Cluttered benches and dark areas invite accidents. Keep children and visitors away while assembling the Hammock. Distractions can cause you to lose control. Use safety equipment. Wear ANSI-approved eye protection and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly. Do not expose Hammock to rain or wet conditions. Water can damage and weaken the product s materials. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, and use common sense when assembling and using the Hammock. Do not use under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. Store the Hammock out of reach of children. 3 Maintain with care. Keep the Hammock clean and dry. Do not leave outside, exposed to elements, for long periods of time. Check for misalignment or binding of parts, breakage, rips or any other conditions that might affect the Hammock s use. If damaged, have the Hammock repaired before using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained equipment. Maintain a safe working environment. Make sure there is adequate room for the Hammock. Place Hammock in areas where the ground is soft, like in the grass, in case of a fall. Do not use this product if it is damp or wet. Hammocks can be unstable. Use both hands to ensure stability when laying down or exiting the Hammock. Closely supervise children and offer help when a child gets in or out of Hammock. Do not leave children unattended in the Hammock. Children can become entangled in the Hammock strings and suffocate. Do not exceed maximum weight capacity of the Hammock. The Hammock is designed to bear a maximum weight of 275 pounds. Exceeding this amount of weight on the Hammock may result in personal injury or property damage. The Hammock is designed to be used by one person resting quietly at a time. Unpacking When unpacking, check to make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible. Assembly Note: To preserve the Hammock in best possible condition, it is advisable to varnish or paint the Hammock frame prior to first use, and thereafter as needed. Insert Legs (2) into Base Connector (5) and connect using Wood Screws (13) for both ends of the Hammock. Insert Base Support (1) through Base Connector (5). Line up holes and insert Double End Bolts (7) through pre-drilled holes. Secure in place with Washers (8) and Nuts (9). Do this for both ends of Hammock assembly. Connect both ends of Hammock together with Center Connector (4), use Washers and Nuts to secure Double End Bolts. Page 3

4 4. 7. Insert Hammock Braces (3) into Base Connector (5), secure with Double End Bolts, Washers, and Nuts. Affix Hook (10) to Hammock Brace (3) with Washer (11) and Nut (12), repeat on each side. Place Shackle (15) through loop on Hammock (14). Attach open end of Shackle to Hook (10) and secure with threaded Shackle Pin. Repeat on each side. Frequently check Shackle Pin to make sure it is tightly in place. Hammock is now ready for use. Operation 4. Place Hammock in desired resting area. A cool, grassy area is suggested since a fall would be less traumatic on soft ground. Only use the Hammock in a stable location. Hold the Hammock steady with both hands and position yourself in the middle of the Hammock. Rest your weight back into the Hammock and swing your legs up while adjusting yourself lengthwise on the Hammock. Lean back and shift weight until you are comfortable. Relax and enjoy. To get off the Hammock, grip Hammock securely with both hands, lean forward and gently swing legs out of the Hammock. INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the Hammock. Check for loose ropes, rips in the fabric, binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts and any other condition that may affect its safe operation. Do not use damaged equipment. Clean Hammock with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Page 4
