2 Easily switch between VLAN button or non-vlan button to open/close the VLAN function Overview The FS-1024-PoE provides 8-port 10/100Mbps 802.3at / 802.3af Power over Ethernet with a total of 400 watts of PoE budget, which is an ideal solution to fulfill the demand of sufficient PoE power for network applications. It is able to drive 24 IEEE 802.3af/802.3at compliant powered devices. The FS-1024-PoE is an ideal solution for securing IP surveillance infrastructure. It provides both 802.3af / 802.3at PoE functions along with 8 10/100Base-TX ports featuring 15.4-watt 802.3af / 30.8-watt 802.3at PoE in RJ-45 interfaces and 2 extra 10/100/1000Mbps UPLINK RJ-45 port to keep a cascade connection with another switch or NVR. For instance, one FS-1024-PoE can be combined with one 24-Channel NVR and twenty-four PoE IP cameras as a kit for the administrators to centrally and efficiently manage the surveillance system in the local LAN and the remote site via Internet. It comes with two extra UPLINK fiber port to solve the problem of long distance transmission for users to select different optical fiber module. The FS-1024-PoE RJ-45 interfaces support 10/100Mbps Auto-Negotiation at port 1 to port 26 for optimal speed detection through RJ-45 Category 6, 5 or 5e cables. It also supports standard Auto-MDI/MDI-X that can detect the type of connection to any Ethernet device without requiring special straight or crossover cables. Featuring with VLAN, IT administrators is able to easily create VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) based on ports at a push of VLAN button. The FS-1024-PoE boosts security and bandwidth usage by restricting broadcast domain and adopting virtual network technology. Each port on the switch can establish a virtual network. Attacks or viruses targeted at PCs or network behind one port will not be spread to other ports and the networks behind them. Security of internal network is thus strengthened. With data and power over Ethernet from one unit, the FS-1024-PoE reduces cabling requirements and eliminates the need for dedicated electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or any unreachable place. A wire that carries both data and power can lower the installation costs, simplify the installation effort and eliminate the need for electricians or extension cords.
