16 Bread of Life Bread of life, feed my soul, As the presence of the spirit makes me whole. Bread of life, fill my heart With the grace and mercy you impart.

17 I have heard your voice calling, Come, my friend, and share In the feast that is laid out for you To show how much I care.

18 Bread of life, help me live A life as pure and true as Jesus did. Bread of life, help me see The boundless love of Christ for you and me.

21 Leader: May God be with us. People: God is here among us. Leader: Let us open our hearts to God People: We open them to God and one another.

23 Leader: Blessed are you, gracious god, Creator of light, Giver of all life, Source of love. You guide the sun, cradle the moon, and toss the stars. At your word the earth was made and spun on its course among the planets. You breathe life into us and set us among all your creatures, in a covenant of love and service. Even when we turn away from you, you do not forsake us. You send your prophets to proclaim your justice, to remind us of your promise of peace, and to call us back to you. So it is that we join the song of all creation to proclaim your goodness:

25 Leader: On the night before he died, Jesus took bread, and after giving thanks to God, he broke it, and gave it to those who sat with him saying: Take, eat. This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me. In the same way he took the cup saying: This cup is the new covenant sealed in my blood, shed for you for the forgiveness of sins.

26 Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance of me. Loving God, we rejoice in the gift of your grace, remembering Christ s life and death, proclaiming his resurrection, waiting in hope for his coming again. Grant that in praise and thanksgiving, we may so offer ourselves to you that our lives may proclaim the mystery of faith:

28 Sharing the Bread and Cup

29 All: For the bread we have eaten, for the wine we have tasted, for the life we have received, we thank you God. Grant that what we have done and have been given here, may so put its mark on us, that it may remain always in our hearts and minds.

30 Grant that we may grow in Christian love and understanding, and that ours may be lives of faithful action, in Christ s name. Amen.
