1 JESUS IN DISGUISE Urgent Times

2 When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

3 Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

4 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

5 Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

6 Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.

7 They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? He will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. Matthew 25: 31-46

8 There is a time of judgment coming. Everyone who has ever lived will be brought before the judgment seat of Christ. Jesus will be the Judge. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead. (Acts. 17:31)

9 When He appears to judge the world, it will be in great splendor and a cloud of glory. When He comes to judge the world, He will bring His holy angels with Him. People from the beginning of time to the end of time will stand in front of Jesus. He will make a judgment about every person and then will separate them accordingly.

10 The Bible says that eternal life is a result of what JESUS DID, not what WE DO. We are saved by God s grace alone and not by our own efforts. Salvation is found in putting our faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins. Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

11 The folks on the left were condemned for what they DIDN T do. Indifference. Neglect. Sin of Omission - not doing something that we should do. "Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins. James 4:17

12 When we give to others, we are giving to Jesus Himself. When we respond to someone in need, we are responding to Jesus When we don t respond to someone in need, we are not responding to Jesus.

13 We do our work with Jesus, for Jesus and to Jesus. Everyone we meet is Jesus in disguise. Mother Teresa

14 True faith requires action. True faith is more than just claiming to have faith. It must be expressed in service for others. It is a sign of our genuine love for God.

15 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. John 3:16-18

16 What good is it, my brothers and sisters if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, Go in peace; keep warm and well fed, but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:14-17

17 Our good works will be remembered. Not one deed performed ever escapes the eye of Jesus. What Jesus will remember is how we reacted to human need. What will not escape His eye is how we helped people right in front of us. I cannot help all, but I will help one.
