1 R E P O R T Person analysed Organisation Date This analysis is based on the responses given in the Extended DISC Personal Analysis questionnaire. This analysis should not be the sole criterion for making decisions about this individual. The purpose of this analysis is to provide supporting information to the respondee and his/her manager/leader. This analysis is prepared by Extended DISC International and it is protected by Copyright.
2 Text Page This page is a description of how this style of person is typically seen by others. Read the text as such and use it to develop an overall picture. In evaluating specific sentences, it is important to consider the person's conscious ability to adapt to behavior. In other words, while the text describes the typical behavior for individuals with this style, a person certainly can modify behavior to fit the needs of a particular situation or individual(s). Also, you may have already addressed the development areas by learning new skills. Attributes: Active, energetic, alert, inspiring, open, sociable, social, independent, emotional, decisive, ambitious, restless, encouraging, motivating. Motivators: Sam values variety, human contacts, independence, social challenges and a pleasant atmosphere. He likes to start projects, produce ideas, work among people, complete tasks independently and move around. He needs some attention, cheerfulness and spontaneity. He hopes that other values and not just the facts are taken into account as well. Tries to avoid: The worst that can happen to this person is that something starts boring him. Sam cannot sit in one place too long nor complete detailed tasks given to him by someone else. He is not a machine and Sam does not like to be treated like one. Neither does he like situations where he is left out or thrown off of the team. Ideal Manager-leader: He needs a manager/leader who sets specific goals and tells him what to do. The manager/leader cannot be a faultfinder. He has to be a person who can always be turned to. The manager/leader has to know how to control his emotions and hold him back in need. He must be given lot of freedom (some kind of working schedule should still remain) and he cannot be humiliated in front of others. Some inspiring praise might work wonders. Communication style: He is open and cheerful, sometimes even too chatty. The more people there are, the more he enjoys the situation. He is not a good listener and is frequently inattentive to other problems. He is best in selling, motivating and making things happen. Decision making: He makes decisions quickly. He likes to ignore unpleasant things, but wants the things to improve. He does not make his decisions on the basis of the common sense only, being guided by his position, relations with friends, workplace climate and long-term human relations.

He doesn't stay in one place hesitating and deliberating but believes in his own instinct and spontaneity. He likes change and taking part in many different kinds of groups, situations and roles. Other group members see him as an open and sociable person but somewhat superficial and self-absorbed. In reality he is just so full of action that he doesn't have time to stop and deliberate other people's worries, even if he would like to. He likes to bring out his own opinions and tries to persuade others onto the side of his group. He isn't a very patient listener.
